We were expecting coffee bar with fresh ground coffee not pre made , and we were expecting a pool, and did not expect that bathroom did not have a tub. Our first stay at an express in Roanoke last August these three items were there. We felt betrayed and had fallen in love with holiday inn express and this was too much money for what we got. The motel in Roanoke was spotless in the rooms, bathrooms, hallways, this one in Sanford has issues, and obvious one concerning dirt not remodeling related work, one example go to room 321 look at the shower base corners. Why was the fresh made tea taken out? Went to get it this morning and it was gone?

The hospitality was on point. We had children and pets. The children received crayons and coloring books. The pets received water bowls and treats. The hotel has undergone renovations to bring it up to standards. The pool was under renovation, but we were not there for the pool.

The only thing that was wrong with this site was at our initial entrance, in late evening, to check in. The customer service agent made us wait while she vacuumed the floor behind the desk in front of us without saying a word. She had a small roller sweeper and we literally stood at and watched, at 11pm, tired, looking to be up early the next day and waiting for a check in to a bed. She was very nice once she started to speak to us. The rest of the hotel stay was excellent.
