We often stay at Residence Inn when we have family events around the Country. This time was for a wedding; 3 families, 9 people, so I reserved 2-2 bedroom suites. These suites were smaller than others we've stayed at, but still a good room. Our rooms were all clean, the beds very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. This property is centrally located to just about everything commercial in Saginaw, and easy to get to and from 675. The children loved the pool, and we took advantage of the availability of the grill. The staff is great, friendly, and housekeeping is very attentive. The carpeting and couch in both rooms were a little dated and the breakfast offered is limited, disappointing, for these reasons I deducted a star. I would, however, stay here again without hesitation.

The hotel is very nice and has large bedrooms, however the last two days my room was not cleaned and hotel shuttle does not work for morning flights, maybe they do not like to wake up early and no worries with guests that needs to get early morning flights. I asked for a taxi at 6am, the taxi was not there and the front desk lady did not show any concern about... But the location and hotel is good, only the services that needs to be improved.

We were only in Saginaw for the night traveling between Sleeping Bear and Ann Arbor. The hotel was very clean and modern. Our room was more spacious than anticipated. My only criticism is that the staff was a bit condescending upon our arrival.

The hotel is conveniently located. There are several places to shop and eat close by. The staff was friendly, and our one bedroom suite was a decent size. The only complaint I have was that the hotel was very noisy. Of course the staff can't control everything. And you expect some noise. But I didn't sleep the entire time we were there. The people in the rooms next to us and above us were a bit much.

This is our favorite place to stay in Saginaw. We had a couple of minor mechanical problems with the room on check in, but they were promptly fixed. The staff is excellent. The free breakfast is better than most in this class of hotel. We will be back again the next time we are in Saginaw.

Very large room with full kitchen, couch and sitting area, nice size vanity. Open and roomy. Clean. Breakfast included hot food with plenty of seating and food. Very large pool. We enjoyed our stay. It also had outdoor seating area with fire pit, grill, pool table and spa.

We have stayed at Fairfield inn and suites previously. This particular one met our expectations. Room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was your typical free hotel breakfast and the staff were very courteous. The location is near many restaurants and shopping areas. Easy access to the highway.

I was apprehensive about the property before I finished booking but it's convenient location sealed the deal. The one bedroom suite didn't have a normal layout, the positioning of the doors in the bathroom area was less than ideal along with being the last room and right next to the stairwell, it got quite noisy. The room was clean upon arrival but not the dishes. Housekeeping seemed to miss something EVERY DAY including throwing away trash to putting the ironing board away and providing me with a new bath mat daily. Very unlike previous Marriott service I've received elsewhere.

Of four suite hotels grouped near the Fashion Square Mall that myself or a family member has experienced, this one rates the highest. Extremely clean, hot breakfast is varied, and pool size is good. Choice of room layouts excellent. Staff attentive, especially the pleasant & accommodating cleaning and breakfast crew. Location is perfect for expressway access & getting to airport. Enjoyed having a wide selection of stores and restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the Residence Inn for three nights over a weekend in July. The property is very clean, and our room was well appointed and well maintained. The front desk staff was very nice. Therefore, I hope that what we experienced was a "fluke"...the elevator was out of order for two days and the swimming pool, which is quite large, was down for maintenance, so we had to go next door to use the pool at Springhill Suites, a VERY tiny pool! The elevator problem was a major inconvenience due to large heavy suitcases. The pool, a real disappointment for us. When we arrived back at our room about 6:30 p.m. I was so looking forward to entering a nice clean room with a nice bed made-up. Imagine my surprise when we opened the door to a room that had not received service. I will admit, I was not happy, so I called down to the front desk and kindly asked the older gentleman at the front desk if he knew why our room had not been cleaned. He said he didn't know why, but he would find out why and let me know. After several minutes, we decided not to wait any longer and went to use the pool, only to be told on the way that the pool was down for maintenance! Funny thing was, the front desk clerk was in the hallway with the housekeeper and appeared to be helping her clean rooms! I question, why couldn't he have just been honest with me over the phone and simply told me they were short staffed? Upon our return from the Springhill Suites postage stamp size pool, we walked in on a very nice young man cleaning our room, at 8:00 p.m.! The only thing I can think of is that they were short staffed? In the morning at checkout it was a struggle to get our luggage down the stairs. The front desk girl said, "you could have asked for help"! I thought, "SERIOUSLY"? By that time I was so angry, trying very hard to be kind and calm that I did snap at her. For that I am not proud and wish I could apologize to her. However, a lesson in customer service would be a good idea too! The Residence Inn is a nice property and very convenient to local shopping. As far as I know, this may be all it has going for it. There is a Target store inside a strip mall right across the street. Downtown Saginaw was only seven minutes away. I wish our stay could have been less stressful. It is what it is. At least the bed was comfortable.
