When we booked on Expedia I booked for 2adult & 17 year old. Entered room w king bed/dirty sofa sleeper that didn't pull out because it was behind a heater. Office wouldn't give us bedding to sleep on top of couch because they said we only booked for 2 adults, but we COULD pay $22 to get beds for 3 people. There were cobwebs in bathroom, stain on bathroom wall that looked like blood, filthy coffee pot and blow dryer (see pics). Heater hung crooked from wall. Wifi was locked and we weren't given the code, so 17 year old mad they couldn't do their schoolwork. Pay a little more and stay somewhere you feel safe-parking lot lights were all off. Glad husband was with me or I wouldn't have felt very safe. Noisy from outside all night.
Good news is that the room was fairly clean and no offensive odors. But very old and worn. Felt like a motel from the 50's-60's. We needed a last minute room and this was adequate for the night. The price was very inexpensive. Breakfast was a bag of bagels and juice in the tiny office. Chose breakfast at Panera instead.
I really enjoy this place it's a family ran motel the family is very nice they always make me feel welcome when I'm here. Me and my husband have been doing alot of remodeling to our home these past few months and this is where, I choice to come to so I can relax while hubby is working on our house. It's very quiet and anytime, I need anything its never a hassle someone is always more than happy to help me or bring me what I need. It's nice seeing family work so close together and actually enjoy what they are doing for others.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone..the service is non existent and when u go to office to complain the Indian Guy yells at u and talks like u are stupid.....the only thing I liked about the room was the TV and I used my own pillows and blankets....
I would not recommend this motel as I stayed there 3 days and they did not clean the room or bring fresh towels, linen or even empty the trash can. We had to go to the front desk and complain before they gave us new towels, toilet paper and coffee. The room is old and smells and the bed had several broken springs covered over with plastic. The breakfast room (our stay) was a joke with no condiments (sugar, milk, bowls, spoons) available for what I suspect was very old cereal. I must give them credit for the new television. Cost to stay is low but better to stay at Knights Inn or Super 8 for the same or lower price. Very depressing stay - the savings in money was not worth the experience.
Whenever I use to come to Saginaw I stayed at northgate( best value inn) as it was know back then. It was a nice little motel back then and they kept it clean and updated. But when I went there this time it was not what I remember it to be. The rooms had a bad smell, stains, and outdated. The beds were caved in and dirty. It looks like somebody else runs the motel now, and is not taking care of it. They tried charging me $80 which is over priced. You are better off staying at some other motel. Try avoiding this motel, I rather sleep in my car next time.
I booked 2 rooms online, showed up to get in the rooms. The Middle Eastern man behind the desk told us we had no rooms, even though I produced the confirmation number. He was nasty about it. We hats to insist we have rooms. Finally as he was going through his reservations, we found oue rooms. Upon finally getting in the rooms we felt the room: They were old, unclean the phone and internet service didn't work. Not recommended.
Certainly too expensive what you get. From the outside it is a true motel. The rooms are somewhat upgraded. But the bed and pillow would not qualify for a good sleeping experience. And they were wrapped in plastic.
We checked into the hotel - as we pulled up there happened to be about 3-4 cop cars next door to the hotel - alreadywe didn't feel safe- when we checked it at first appearance it seemed ok - but when we shut the door it stunk like mold -it was soo gross - I pulled back the sheets there was stains on the sheets i checked the pillows there were dirty pillow cases on the bed .If you walked on the floor in your bare feet the carpets seemed damp if you touched the furniture in the room it was damp ! Thankfully we brought our blankets and pillows with us - i barely slept that night when i did look up when i was laying down there was cob webs around the lamps. Soo gross! I have astma We had to leave very early in the morning I was becoming very sick .
I was travelling with my daughter and saw this place online for reasonable prices (around $50/night for 2) We did not book online because of our travelling did not know how far we were going to get. You can imagine my surprise when we arrived around 8 pm to see if there was a room. We were told there was only one left, it was small but had a nice big bathtub (you can see a photo of it online)... available for $115/night. I turned and walked out the door. I mean, I was very tired but I was not stupid. I was quickly called back, low and behold another room came available for $60. My daughter suggested we take it and while we were paying were sternly told that many rooms in this area that are similar go for $130/night and there was nothing wrong with the price. We should have booked online to get the price we were getting. I just smiled and nodded and wanted to get freshened up to finally go out and eat.... We got into the room and were disappointed, as it was not very clean. Hair in the tub, stains on the walls... I have learned from my mistake. If you are pretty sure you are getting ripped off.....just walk away...
