Updating in the tiny bathroom was very sloppy. The lobby was updated when we were there last year but still isn’t complete. Doesn’t live up to the Hilton name.

The staff was very friendly and responsive. The property was under construction and the room was very dated and a little dirty. The trash wasn’t empty and there was a dead bug in the bathroom. Very dusty!!

Great location off RT. 95, hotel has a restaurant attached to it. My wife went to bar and got two margaritas to go, bar tender basically put ice, tequila, mix in a cup. Covered cup and ha red to wife. No shake, and mix was light, so basically a cup of tequila. The fridge in room was unplugged, no sheets for pull out couch. Overall it was okay. It’s perfect for a night or too, but certainly not a long term stay.

We have stayed here many times and have enjoyed our stays. The amenities are nice, parking on site, indoor pool, comfortable bed and a restaurant in lobby...which is nice...and a Outback right behind it. COOKIE AT CHECK IN TO DIE FOR! This trip just two days ago was not so great. Tv wouldn’t work...and the maintenance gal tried everything...very nice accommodating gal. Towel bar literally fell off wall in shower when opened curtain...one end of desk was completely broken and leaning and they only gave us two towels! Don’t know what was up with that room...someone off their game apparently that day! I will go back I think...AND in their defense... they did offer us another room. We had unpacked and were exhausted and declined. Hoping for a better stay next time. Location also seems safe.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. There is a steak house on premise which was a plus. There warm chocolate chip walnut cookies upon check in are outstanding. The only complaint I had was limited towels...I think two were there for both of us. All night long (I am assuming) when a toilet was flushed anywhere you got a very loud plumbing type noise. Woke me up on and off all night. If they took care of that Issue I would have no complaints.

It was clean, safe, and half way for me on my trip to FL. Easy check in and check out and even had decent coffee in the little machine in the room.

The hotel looks Ike it recently had been remodeled/ updated. The lobby was comfortable and inviting the furniture and decor attractive. The location is a short drive from I-95. We were traveling from S.C. to N.J. and this was a good place to stop for the night. The beds are comfortable, there were more than enough fluffy pillows. The room was clean and we felt safe. The receptionist, Kenya checked on us soon after we arrived in the room to see if all was OK. We had trouble getting the TV to work at first and she promptly sent someone to help us. We had a choice of a hot breakfast cooked to order that was packed in a takeaway tray. We were eager to get in the road that morning so we took the hot coffee, fruit and muffins in a paper bag and went on our way. I believe that the management tried their best to provide breakfast within the parameters suggested by health mandates. Less than ideal but adequate under the circumstances. We won’t hesitate to stay here again.

The restaurant attached was just ok. The food was also just ok. If you want a better meal, leave the property. Also, parking is free anyway on the property so don’t fall for the paid parking option on orbitz. Finally, keep in mind when you use a third party such as Orbitz to book, you get no recognition for being a Hilton club member. No points, no breakfast, nothing.

Staff was friendly and professional. Decor was updated and mattress was extremely comfortable, but the bathroom grout looked dirty (though it may just have been older) and hardware (shower rod and shower head) seemed like it was retro-fitted) and looked a little sloppy, but other than that, I would recommend it. I think even the sale price was a little bit high considering there was no complementary breakfast like some other hotels at a cheaper price. But I would stay again if passing through the area because of the comfy mattress.

I normally stay at the DoubleTree Hotel two to four times a year, and have done so for over 10 years when visiting relatives in Tarboro. Its convenient location, clean, comfortable rooms, the friendly/professional staff, the exercise room, and the on-site restaurant have always been big plusses for me, despite its higher price than nearby hotels. However, over my last few stays--especially this most recent one--I've noticed a significant decline in this property. Signs of wear and tear are apparent throughout: carpet and furniture in common areas are worn, and need replacing; the carpet in my bedroom had rips and was badly worn; my bedroom was also missing a shower curtain (one was quickly installed after I reported it!), and the toilet had visible hard water and rust stains in the bowl. Most annoying, however, was the slow leak in the flusher mechanism that caused the toilet to "flush" when the water level got too low. This happened throughout the night and woke me every time it happened! I'm still satisfied with the helpful and friendly staff of the DoubleTree, and I still like its convenience, but major upgrades to common spaces and the bedrooms need to occur in order for it to remain a preferred choice.

Nice hotel in a good location. Place to eat and drink is right i the lobby which made things a lot easier for dinning choice

Tesla Super charger was our destination before we booked this hotel. Texas Steakhouse chain is the restaurant. Worked out well for us.

Great place to stop on your travels. Top notch! Make sure you pay for the breakfast. It is worth it!

Nice room , clean but the breakfast was very disappointing

I really wanted to like this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My first night in the hotel, I noticed a blinking light on one of the fire alarms in the room. For someone who needs complete dark to sleep, this light was really irritating. The pool was more like hot tub temperature and not at all refreshing. Other than that, my stay was fine. Bar and restaurant on site, complementary coffee and tea in the lobby, reasonably priced room service. I will probably try another hotel on my next visit to the area though.

Most aspects of this hotel were satisfactory to very good. However, the very loud heating unit in my room was a constant distraction during the day, and startled me awake every time it came on at night. It needs to be repaired or replaced. I cannot recommend this hotel, despite its convenient location and other positive aspects, until this matter is addressed, and in all rooms!

Staff was unwilling to help with a reservation mix up and was only concerned about money rather than the comfort of its customers.

Had to visit a sick relative, hospital was very close, easy to commute back and forth
