Very large hotel resort with lots to do and lots of people
This hotel is still new, the food is good and the services are excellent too, the most important : The room is very comfortable too. We had a very good view room at the main tower.
Room was dirty..found someone's floss stick under the nightstand. Gross!!! Bathroom was nice but I can tell they didn't clean the walls...saw some brown stuff on the marble wall. Gross! The hair dryer bag had white stains on it! Gross! Bed sheets are white but I saw some stains on pillow sheets! And back to where I found someone's floss stick, there was crumbs under the nightstand I can tell housekeeping didn't vaccum properly...all this the first time I stepped in our room! Oh and my kids white socks where stained after walking on the carpet in the room...they need to work on the cleaning
This is a great place to bring your kids of any age. There's a bowling alley, racetrack, pool, spa, shopping area, laser tag; what more could you want? The only problem with the hotel is that the beds are so hard, you might as well sleep on the floor. Hotel staff are friendly, and the room was very clean, quiet, and spacious; there are plenty of places to eat at a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel because there's so much to do, but bring your own mattress pad, lol.
I had an interesting experience while checking in. I was traveling with two colleagues and we all had the same type of room reserved. I was second in line out of the three of us, but both my colleagues were upgraded to suites whereas I was left in a standard room. The room was fine, but I still felt slightly mistreated, given the nice rooms everyone else in my party got. Regarding my room, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was good, and the room and bathroom were clean. However, I did find the TV size uncomfortably small and the TV made annoying clicking sounds for several minutes after turning it off. On the third day of my stay there was a slight odor in the room. It seemed to come from the HVAC unit, but it could have come from outside as I had left the air ducts to the outside open. The hotel has just about everything, casino, movie theater, bowling, restaurants, pool, and I think there was even laser tag. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but I did feel that the hotel staff treated me unfairly during check-in.
Plenty to do. Good restaurant choices and convenient to everything.
Really nice hotel with friendly staff. I would definitely recommend staying there.
Commons areas smell cigarette... is very uncomfortable
We have stayed here many time we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else
Needs essentials microwave and mini fridges. Besides that everything was nice ,room was clean comfortable beds great food .
Stayed one night in a Summit room and one night in a Concierge room. Slightly higher cost but exactly the same room as a Summit room! We usually stay at a different hotel but decided to try the GSR due to the convenience of location and the extremely reasonable price. Rooms were decent for the price.
Close to airport, free shuttle and room was clean. Can't complain at all, checked in at 10pm so there was a bit of a line. Lex nightclub was cool spot, thanks GSR.
Flew out to RENO to see the Brian Setzer Orchestra at the Grand Sierra Resort on 23 December The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Accommodations were spacious, clean, modern and moderately priced.... there were a lot of families staying Great dining options to include room service, family style buffet , casual dining restaurants and upscale restaurants. There is an arcade for kids, mini golf, and go carts. The Casino is huge and has a smoking allowed half and a non smoking half.,,,, And a high roller area Lots of black jack.... single deck and 6 deck.... The only downer was that I never won .....lol
Remodeled rooms are very clean and comfortable. I like to spend time in the spa, their facial and other services are double price compared to outside salons but the environment, jacuzzi, and other facilities can hold me there relaxing for many hours and that's what I need.
Great experience. Fast and friendly front desk. Staff was accommodating.
Found hairs on the bed. The bed liners are used. It look like the bed just got clean up after the guest left. They don't change new liners! Very disappointed about a four star hotel. I'm never stay again.
Very nice overall experience had a great time would highly recommend to friends not to mention the buffet great
Very clean, friendly staff, great food. Concert venue was awesome
To begin with, the hotel sits on a huge parking lot with a road ringing the lot. There are NO signs to indicate where to go to get to the various locations (i.e. hotel, theater, casino), so you wander around the lot trying to figure out where the hell to park. Finally found the hotel entrance. Valet parking was free, but they didn't tell you that-had to ask. (Otherwise you would have to park about 40 acres away with an uphill hike!) The hotel valets and bell staff were wonderful. Once inside, it was another 10 minute hike through the casino to the elevators, then finally to the room. The room was nice and large, and beautifully decorated, with a great shower and bathroom. However, none of the furniture/beds were very comfortable and the items in the bathroom were awkwardly placed. In addition, the heat/ac in the room would not turn below 72, which was too warm for me to sleep well. The hotel did not provide a map or guide to the shops in the resort in the room. There was a tiny map on the key card holder, but it didn't really tell you much. In the morning, we went looking for a vegetarian breakfast, but none of any worth could be located. Overall, very disappointing-just wanted to spend the night, not take a 3 mile hike. Staff members, however, were friendly, courteous and helpful!
Its like a city in itself. Took the family and they stayed busy. Only complaint would be the trek from the hotel out to my big rig in the truck parking, its a pretty good distance.
