I used the speedy checkout, which was very convenient, but I am still waiting for my receipt that I need to submit my travel claim to my employer.
Overpriced. Resort fee came up when checking out. Not informed upon arrival. Upgrade fee if you want a refrigerator and microwave. No bath towel bars in the bathroom, only a bar under the sink for hand towels or wash rags. Room did not cool down to set temperature. Sink only had a trickle of water coming out even if both hot and cold were turned on all the way. Internet so slow couldn't do anything on it. If you arrive around 3:00pm, check in time, Do not drive up to the front of the hotel and expect to unload your bags to check in. Easier and faster to park. If you have another person with, drop them off to stand in line to check in. By the time you park and walk in with the bags, they may be 1/2 way through the line.
Wonderful hotel all the staff were really nice. Just make sure you stay away from the buffet it was absolutely terrible. All the other restaurants inside were very good.
We needed two rooms this time and were told they would be adjoining. In the end, they were not and none were available in that price range that would be adjoining. That part was annoying but they rooms were next to each other, which helped.
Very good. Will come again, recommend to friends family and employees. Thank you
We checked in at 9pm and our room wasn't ready. We had to eat, so we at in the cafe, food was good. Waitress was very nice. At 10pm we checked back, still wasn't ready so they upgraded us to a suite which was very nice. The downside to this stay for graduation at UNR, was the pool wasn't open and for $200 we were there for 14 hours. I am not a gambler, so I wouldn't recommend this type of hotel for someone like me but if you do like that kind of thing, this is a nice spot.
The newly remodeled rooms were gorgeous and very comfortable!
Very large hotel resort with lots to do and lots of people
This hotel is still new, the food is good and the services are excellent too, the most important : The room is very comfortable too. We had a very good view room at the main tower.
Room was dirty..found someone's floss stick under the nightstand. Gross!!! Bathroom was nice but I can tell they didn't clean the walls...saw some brown stuff on the marble wall. Gross! The hair dryer bag had white stains on it! Gross! Bed sheets are white but I saw some stains on pillow sheets! And back to where I found someone's floss stick, there was crumbs under the nightstand I can tell housekeeping didn't vaccum properly...all this the first time I stepped in our room! Oh and my kids white socks where stained after walking on the carpet in the room...they need to work on the cleaning
This is a great place to bring your kids of any age. There's a bowling alley, racetrack, pool, spa, shopping area, laser tag; what more could you want? The only problem with the hotel is that the beds are so hard, you might as well sleep on the floor. Hotel staff are friendly, and the room was very clean, quiet, and spacious; there are plenty of places to eat at a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel because there's so much to do, but bring your own mattress pad, lol.
I had an interesting experience while checking in. I was traveling with two colleagues and we all had the same type of room reserved. I was second in line out of the three of us, but both my colleagues were upgraded to suites whereas I was left in a standard room. The room was fine, but I still felt slightly mistreated, given the nice rooms everyone else in my party got. Regarding my room, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was good, and the room and bathroom were clean. However, I did find the TV size uncomfortably small and the TV made annoying clicking sounds for several minutes after turning it off. On the third day of my stay there was a slight odor in the room. It seemed to come from the HVAC unit, but it could have come from outside as I had left the air ducts to the outside open. The hotel has just about everything, casino, movie theater, bowling, restaurants, pool, and I think there was even laser tag. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but I did feel that the hotel staff treated me unfairly during check-in.
Plenty to do. Good restaurant choices and convenient to everything.
Really nice hotel with friendly staff. I would definitely recommend staying there.
Commons areas smell cigarette... is very uncomfortable
We have stayed here many time we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else
Needs essentials microwave and mini fridges. Besides that everything was nice ,room was clean comfortable beds great food .
Stayed one night in a Summit room and one night in a Concierge room. Slightly higher cost but exactly the same room as a Summit room! We usually stay at a different hotel but decided to try the GSR due to the convenience of location and the extremely reasonable price. Rooms were decent for the price.
Close to airport, free shuttle and room was clean. Can't complain at all, checked in at 10pm so there was a bit of a line. Lex nightclub was cool spot, thanks GSR.
Flew out to RENO to see the Brian Setzer Orchestra at the Grand Sierra Resort on 23 December The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Accommodations were spacious, clean, modern and moderately priced.... there were a lot of families staying Great dining options to include room service, family style buffet , casual dining restaurants and upscale restaurants. There is an arcade for kids, mini golf, and go carts. The Casino is huge and has a smoking allowed half and a non smoking half.,,,, And a high roller area Lots of black jack.... single deck and 6 deck.... The only downer was that I never won .....lol
