Loved the restaurants & bars on the property. Didn't have to leave to have a great time.

I loved the view and the pool /restaurant. I didn't like the checkout process.

Liked that it was a nice location. Close to the pool and restaurant. The condo was really dated, dirty and damp furniture. Wi-Fi and tv wouldn’t connect. No one answered our call at the office. Electrical output was unsafe. Light didn’t work on the balcony. Condo smelled damp and musty. Overall condition was extremely poor. Refrigerator shelves were broken, toaster didn’t work.

A very accommodating and friendly staff. The resort was very clean and safe!

The view was beautiful. The room was nice. It was outdated but was spacious. I would definitely stat again . The check in was a little confusing because they lost power but we found it in the end and the guy was really nice..

No communication or signs related to check in confusion.

Great place right on sapphire beach, absolutely loved it,quiet and away from the main tourist crowd. Still in the works of recovering from the hurricane but awesome place!

On the plus side staff was very nice, we never met an employee who wasn't super friendly and helpful. It's on a fantastic beach, so it definitely gets points for that. The onsite restaurant Slice had fantastic food and staff, some of the best meals I've eaten on the island. On the negative side, the room was in major need of renovations. Bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on, absolutely. We did look in another room which was much nicer, so that may not always be the case, although I'd hate to know we paid the same rate. Calling it a "resort" is not at all accurate, more like a condo community that has seen better days. You have to ask an employee to unlock beach chairs for usage, which they promptly kick you out of at 6pm sharp to lock back up. Very strange, I've never encountered that before. Overall, if a beautiful beach and proximity to Red Hook are what you're after I would absolutely recommend Sapphire Bay. If amenities and a guarantee of a decent room are the most important to you, I would not.

They upgraded me to a beach front suite without even asking

Room was not clean and staff were not accommodating. Would not recommend this resort. The beaches were beautiful.

Nice hotel room for the price, close to the beach and the staff was pleasant. The only problem was that the A/C in the bedroom was not working, kept waiting for it to kick in but it never did. That made for an uncomfortable sleep.

It basically was nice and clean. This is a condo hotel so each room is different. My room lacked balcony furniture and kitchen dishes, but we stayed with large group so it was only our room. Other rooms were equipped with what was needed. Very close to red hook

For staters, there are two different sites here, one a hotel, one a residency. The office is for residents, so you have no idea where to check-in when you arrive, neither do the cab drivers, or any of the staff at the bar on-site. So you have to make several phone calls, then walk across the site to another hotel to get checked-in. The lounge chairs and beach-side pool are only for resident staff, you are not permitted to use them, you must rent theses items. Then, the email comformation I got had a check-out time of noon. We were well on our way of being ready by noon, but were told that we had to be out sooner, the house keeping staff was short when they asked us to leave, and the management staff required that I show them my email comformation, then they told me it was wrong and I still had to be out at 11. Terrible service, hidden costs, and no clear signs or directions on how to check-in/out. It is not worth the hastel to stay here when you are trying to have a relaxing vacation.

wonderful place to stay, very close to the beach, staff are friendly, wonderful view, the restuarant Vicars bar and grill next to it is wonderful, clean room, great family stay, the beach is awesome, def recommend.

Excellent location only 5 minutes from red hook, ferry terminal. Comfortable room, spacious kitchen. The check in seems a little shady but the offices are being renowned. Other than that you get a good deal for your money. I only paid $89 and worth every penny

We stayed at Sapphire for 4 nights, it was a very convenient location, with amazing views of St. John and the BVIs.

Great staff, update our room to the ocean view room without any cost!

Great location. We are in the first floor if the ocean view, it is nice.

Sapphire is a great place if your not looking for a luxury resort. Great location, close to Red Hook & ferry. Nice beach and staff was very helpful. Second time staying here so we knew what to expect. Room could have used a new mattress but overall room was good.

Very disappointed. When my wife and I arrived at the resort we were told they had no rooms and that we should have called the resort directly. We talked the manager in charge into giving us a room they were holding for someone else. The confirmation # I had didn't mean anything to them. The telephone in our room didn't work for 2 days and there were many power outages. Very disappointed especially when I paid over $600 for 3 nights.

Thank you for your assessment of the unit and bringing this information to our attention. The units are furnished by the owners and as long as they meet specific criteria, we are under contract to rent them. We have inspected the unit and found that the wifi and the cable are working, and the laminated instructions on how to use the cable tv are in the unit. The room was inspected prior to arrival and the housekeeping manager did not find broken shelves in the refrigerator, though there was a broken one found in the refrigerator door when the unit was cleaned and inspected post departure. The toaster was scheduled for replacement due to its appearance, but it did work. Our front desk is at Building A Unit 201 at Sapphire Beach, the phone number is listed in the welcome packet, and it is open from 9am to 9pm daily. Additionally, there is an after hours emergency number listed as well. We do not leave our guests without a way to reach us. Had we known the guests were unhappy with their accommodations, we would have welcomed the opportunity to quickly correct any issue they had. We are truly sorry that the guests did not enjoy their stay, however this could have been remedied at the time by contacting the front desk, by phone or in person, or by calling the emergency number. If the front desk did not answer between 9am & 9pm, it was due to attending to a guest, and a message could have been left. Regards,

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We apologize for any confusion with check-in. I will call Expedia tomorrow to ask where we can include explicit check-in procedures for guests. That assumes you are not referring to any changes to do with COVID during this challenging time.
