Great staff and view!!! Our little balcony overlooked the harbor and pool!

Liked the staff very much and proximity to airport about 15 min cab ride and loved the views and restaurant food was fantastic Disliked the bathroom , dated and probably as clean as they could get it for the age , window in bathroom would not close so we heard lots of noise day and night ( recycling cans cars voices ) on main road so there is no where to walk , ( they will call a cab for you quickly)

Overall EXCELLENT! Away from the beaten path and very relaxing.

View and staff are awesome. Majestic view. Pool bar is fun. Quaint and very island boutique hotel

Property is dated and in need of refreshment. Bath towels should be white not gray from age. We used the pool towels instead Restaurant could not get our meals right. Sent back twice. Not a good experience!!

Very overpriced given the state of the place post hurricane.

Had a great stay. Pool bar staff was great. People should know that there is still a lot of hurricane recovery so facilities are not in top shape. Such as tarps over the bar and restaurant area. It didn’t effect our enjoyment at all and we would definitely stay again.

The rooms we had for a one night stay had a variety of non functioning lights and had cockroaches.

Older hotel but has character. Food and view spectacular.

Hotel is pretty much a quaint bed and breakfast . It has an amazing few of the island . The hotel staff Were very attentive , helpful , and polite . Free breakfast in the morning is a life saver. Prob saved us $150 in breakfast . The kitchen staff are very polite also . If your looking for a bed and breakfast with amazing views and pretty reasonable prices then you should stay at the mafolie .

Mafolie Hotel is for nature and peace lovers. High in the mountain, the view is spectacular. The staff courteous and nice. If you want a peaceful stay, here is the place. Otherwise, stay downtown. I recommend this place.

Our first room was down 4+ flights of stairs which had to walked up every time you left, got breakfast, or did anything really. And the bed was hard. We had to pay more to get another room with less walking. In the new room the windows didn't close all the way and there wasn't even a window over the door, just a vent. Therefore the A/C didn't do anything. I didn't sleep well most of the time because of the sound of birds outside and a hot room. They didn't have any wifi as their website promised and their TV had 5 channels which in their world I guess counts as the promised cable tv. The shuttle only left once a day at the same time and the one to Charlotte Amalia didn't bring you back. And all the shuttle was, was a underpaid taxi driver (only $300 a month for up to 3 shuttle trips a day). Oh and the toilet was right next to the wall. I'm sure my husband's knees must have hit the wall when he sat down. The the door had was one big vent so your partner can hear and smell everything that you do in there. Not very romantic. I ordered a pina colada at the bar and got a strawberry daquiri, was told that was a pina colada. Later found that the woman wrote in her own tip when we settled the bill. Also, the restaurant was minimum $30 a plate and there are no other restaurants in walking distance. The only place that delivers was Dominoes. On the plus sides, the front desk staff was very helpful (but they don't give you cash by charging your credit card if you run low and there aren't convenient ATMs). The view was amazing. The pool was very nice and the grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was pretty good too, although the fresh fruit isn't always very fresh as they use the same batch every day and just keep adding to it.

The best staff, Patrick, Andrew, Tory, and Sherry in the kitchen. What a great place.

Room was slightly dirty. First room toilet didn't work, had to be moved in a different room (on the upside a suite). The sheets were dirty and the bathroom not as clean as I would have liked. Pool was very small and pool bar was only open ONE day of the stay... hard to find employees of the hotel at anytime. Needs some customer service tips.

The view is wonderful. The staff very friendly and helpful. This is not a glamour hotel, but extremely comfortable and laid back. It's how we start our annual ten day visit to St. Thomas and St. John. Food is ok at the restaurant, not great, but the view is worth it. Plan to stay for a few days again next year.
