We stayed in the gallery building, which is across the street from the main hotel. They should have used the covid downtime to fix the rooms. When we entered the room, the light switch did not operate the lights. Once we manually turned them on, the room was quite dim. The heat/ac unit was not plugged in. As a result the thermostat didn't control it. The first time we washed our hands, the towel bar fell off the wall. Going into the bathroom, you could feel a dip in the floorboards. There was a water stain on the ceiling and a stress crack going across most of the ceiling too. The bed was actually higher in one side than the other. When I got in on my side it was like climbing in. Kind of like the princess and the pea. The other side was like sitting on my kids beds at home. This resulted in not being able to fully spread out on a king size bed because I was on a hill! Usually upon checkout, a hotel asks about your stay. I didn't get one question. I had always been curious about staying here. Now I know I haven't been missing anything.

I was not happy with the property. It was in an excellent location, however, our room was in a building across the street and looked out over a dumpster. The room was a little too warm, and check-in was an issue. There was no one to help us lug our stuff across the street to the other building (at least we weren't offered any help). Also, the building seemed to be neglected. There was a beer can on the front porch (and cigarette butts) the whole three days we were there. If you plan to go to Port Jefferson, make sure you ask which building you will be in.

Quaint with beautiful views and great dining on the water.

Nice, quaint. Very good rooms; some aspects of the exterior a bit worn. Lobby decore ... modern but a little bit too flashy for such a quaint, seaside inn. It's a pretty spot and overall a nice facility.

Location is fabulous. Waves restaurant was below average food wise (ambiance was great). Fitness facility was horrible - carpet was soaked and it smelled bad. Equipment very outdated. Rooms shabby.

Great location, decent hotel bar. Staff was very helpful. EVERY door in the property squeaked, inside and out. Quite a feat. First room I was given smelled a bit. TV was too small for the distance from the bed. The card passes were a little difficult to work relative to other hotels.

We had a series of unfortunate events in our stay. For an upscale hotel, I found it very odd that there was no hotel parking, even paid parking. It’s only street parking or public lot, but ok, if that’s what there is. In the room, the AC unit was incredibly loud. It would shut on and off every 10 mins or so, which was pretty annoying. The carpet in the center of the room was shredded where the seam of two pieces of carpet was. Lastly, the fire alarm in our room started going off for no reason when we were getting ready at 8am. I called the front desk to tell them there was no fire but could they send someone to turn it off. Long story short, 15 mins later, no one had come and it was still going off in the room. We decided to just take our things and leave.

parking is a big pain in the ass. rooms are like motel style. wish they had valet service. when you get there you don't even know where to proceed. no one was outside to give help with bags or just answer questions. area was loud. style very updated 80s. disappointed.

We stayed only one nigh but had a wonderful time .The hotel is very clean and easy to work with. Sunset was worth the trip.While in Pt. Jeff we found some wonderful places to eat.All in this was a very relaxing 2 day trip

Absolutely cheap place! You won't get what you're paying for. I'm platinum member with Orbitz, which means I've stayed a lot of places. Believe me!

Room had what looked like black pubic hairs on bed, one of the headboards had greasy head or hand prints all over it. The first night no hot water at all, couldnt even shower at all. Second night there was about 5 minutes of hot water than became cold and stayed that way, could not finish shower. The people above us were stomping around all day until 12am the first night than again until 12 am the second night, the second night was even worse..the stomping ,repeatedly dropping things until midnight, it was so bad we had to check out at around 1230 am and go home . It was a horrible experience and will never go again

Wonderful staff who take care of any request quickly. Can't wait to return
