Love it can’t wait to go back......condo was amazing beach amazing. Beautiful
Arrived later than expected. Thank goodness for the on-site security guard! She was able to instruct me as to how to check-in as the registration desk was closed. The following morning at check-in there was a lot to the check-in it took a long time. The resorts app couldn’t be found by my iPhone or iPad App Store nor my mother’s Samsung phone so I feel we didn’t get enough information despite being told the app was really only for early checkout by the receptionist. But that wasn’t true as I got two texts for early checkout. Only had half a roll of toilet paper in the bathrooms on arrival but the website said free toiletries. We assumed there would be extra TP in the condo like there were other extras but that wasn’t the case. Then the guy that runs the beach chair “rentals” was rude! I was given a card by the receptionist for our chair rentals and was t told to stop at his hut.so he approached me and my mom and rolled his eyes when I showed him the card. The next day we stopped at his hut and he wanted to charge us $30/day or $20/few hours and only accepted cash. We chose to lay on our towels. Otherwise, we absolutely loved the condo, beach front balcony and pool area!
Nice place, was more like an apartment. Everything we needed and an amazing view! My only complaint is the listed price is only about half of what I paid per night with all of the fees
Nice, secured parking, good walking distance to stores and resturants.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here very much and plan to go back. The views are amazing. The beach was Beautiful. Very Clean. Pools and exercise room are great. Lots of amenities.
The wait time for an elevator was horrible!!!! The door wouldn't open sometimes. Just a bit of advice try to stay on a floor closer to the bottom so you can take the stairs.
Enjoyed my stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reasons I can't give the facility 5 stars are: (1) the mattress on the bed was hard and needs to be replaced; (2) the elevators are extremely slow due to having to always waiting on them.
First of all, I do have to say the staff was very nice and accommodating. The front desk was closing and they called to let me know what to do when we arrived for check in, but when I told her we were a mile down the road she said she would stay and have my check in packet ready for me. Also my 2 year-old broke a lamp and they were super nice about it. I figured I'd be charged a ton but it was only $25 thank goodness. Now to the not so good. I had read the reviews about slow elevators and thought people were being overly dramatic about it. Umm NO you really could be waiting 45 minutes or more for an elevator, and then end up in a crammed pack small elevator with no airflow and stopping on every single floor!!! A lot of our time was spent waiting on elevators and with a toddler it was a nightmare! That's another thing, I definitely would not recommend this resort if you have a toddler unless your no higher than 2nd or 3rd floor. We were on the 20th floor (of 30 floors) and I was scared to death for him to be out on the balcony or near the railing on the outside halls. Thankfully, the patio door was extremely hard to open so he'd never be able to get out on his own. Our condo was 1 bedroom and had hall bunks and a sofa bed. Sofa bed was nothing but springs and the bunks squeaked very loudly with every move. Ended up pulling the mattresses off the bunks and laying them on the floor! Overall not extremely terrible, but wouldn't go back.
Beach overlook was beautiful. Elevator wait time is terrible. Specific room I stayed in had mattresses that were well past being confortable. Stains on the carpet in living room and furniture had seen much better days
The place itself was nice, but they need to change their check out time to at least 11 if not 12. They also micromanage every little thing, getting a luggage cart is extremely inconvenient. Room 1606 needs a new mattress in the master bedroom. Overall it was pretty nice especially for the price and in a good location, just petty little things are annoying.
The place was under major repair. All of the swim pools and spas were closed for the entire week. On the last day the ceiling in the bedroom had a water leak.
My husband & I went for a restful week away. Tidewaters was everything we wanted. A room on the beach with a breathtaking view, living room, bedroom & complete kitchen with washer & dryer. Restaurants within lodgings & within walking distance. Grocery shopping was minutes away. I would go back in a heartbeat!
Hotel was nice. We stayed in October so very nice weather. The room view was great! The down side was only one pool was open due to construction during our stay,we were not informed about it by tidewater and th indoor pool was closed too. The outdoor pool was freezing they need to turn the heat on the time of the year because it is warm enough to swim outside still. so only swimming option was the gulf. The condo was nice could use some new carpet but for our needs was fine.. location was close to everything also.
Everything was great but the bed had a plastic cover on it so everyone heard every move either one of us made and im a toss and turner. So that was frustrating. Also if your only there two nights the cost of a nights stay is fine till they double the price by adding on the amenities. I dont think the amenities are worth it for two nights im not sure besides the chairs and umbrellas what else they were. I thought I had cancelled but apparently I didnt so we had to stay. It was nice but the price was not in our budget. We booked thru orbitz so the hotel would not ok us to cancel it the day after the deadline which is when I got the email saying we had the reservation anyways, somewhat my fault. Should have never made the free cancellation reservation but the price was right until the total doubled due to amenities.
Could not Lock Sliding Glass Door in living room, lock was broke!
I love PCB and have been there many times AND stayed at Tidewater, which I love. Close to the airport, grocery store, drug store, etc. and yet far away from the main bustle. Did not book the recent unit thru Southern Rentals. Was mostly satisfied except for a few things-bedspread had something on it at the top that appeared to be blood, coffee maker leaked profusly, garbage disposal and in-house phone did not work at all-minor inconveniences is the grand scheme of things but in daily life, annoying.
I stayed at Tidewater with my two girl friends in May and we had a great time. The view from our living area was AMAZING, floor to ceiling windows that overlooked some of the city, but mostly the beach; the balcony also had an amazing view of the beach. The water is so clear in Panama that we could see the ocean life swimming in the water from our balcony/windows. The one bedroom/bath condo was just roomy enough for us three, but three would be the most girls I would fit in one. There was only one full length mirror and one vanity mirror in the bathroom, which obviously meant we had to share them to get ready. Not the cleanest place I've ever stayed, but it wasn't gross or anything. There were small stains on the bed sheet and couch pillows. The location was good because it was right on the beach and only a short walk to the pier and Pier Park, but I would stay closer to the night clubs if I went again. Overall, we had a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the Tidewater. Beautiful View's / Sunsets. Location is located very close to entertainment & Shopping. Two bedroom Condo was perfect for our family. Beach is beautiful. Can walk for miles! Only negative is that the beach in front of the Tidewater does become very crowded & you are only given one beach lounge per Condo Rental. Unless you want to pay $40./day for additional lounge. Close quarters with other beach goers. If possible bring your own extra chairs.
This destination has everything a family traveling with kids (young and old) would desire. Fantastic amenities and facilities: pools, beach, rooms. The notable exception here was the ludicrously slow elevators. Regardless, I'd definitely consider returning the next time I'm traveling to Panama City Beach.
