very large, beautiful lobby; the bell-hop was very informative regarding tips and tricks at the park (universal studios and islands of adventure); all the items we tried in the dinner menu at the main restaurant downstairs were fabulous;

I expected more from the property given the great reviews. I found the cleanliness to be below expectations, with details like the sink not being properly cleaned and stained sheets provided on both beds in the room. We found the service to be adequate, with the check in reception being pleasant but some other services in the hotel not quite. The dining options offered are pretty good, but food over salted. The location of the hotel is amazing, as is the pool area. For ease of getting to Universal this is a gem (you can walk or take a quick boat ride) and the landscaping around the hotel is beautiful. But for a hotel like this, it misses the mark in quality of service and attention to detail.

Just OK

For the size, location, and rate of this hotel I was surprisingly disappointed. Check in was slow and inefficient, so a long line formed in the lobby. The room was very clean, but it was an adjoining room with family and both sides of the adjoining doors were broken at the top hinges and would allow the doors just to almost collapse when you opened them. The bathroom door is a barn door style, but has large gaps on sides and bottom and besides not having a lock, didn't even stay closed and would slowly roll back on its track and open itself. It was a complete lack of privacy. Sadly, the hotel closed the entire pool area at the instant it started sprinkling so I didn't get to enjoy it at all (the main selling point for me). Of course they have the right to close it during inclement weather, but I was surprised (as a Floridian) since afternoon showers are almost a daily occurrence here and it seemed to close very prematurely.

Fantastic property! Everyone was so sweet and kind, the pool was stunning, the property was stunning, and everything was truly wonderful. We are very happy with our booking! We only wish we had more time to spend.
