Great pre-trip communication, excellent front desk staff, lovely setting, great breakfast and seating area.I would love staying here again if ever in the area. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfortable.
New hotel with friendly staff and very nice rooms. The location is in an area that had lots to offer for food and grocery store, Walmart and lots of other business across the street. It appears the area is newly developed. I would highly recommend. DO NOT STAY IN KISSIMMEE. It’s a very run down area.
Stayed 6 nights, Dana at checkin was very accommodating and friendly as was the rest of the staff. The night security officer went above and beyond to assist us with opening our room safe. The maid service always had our room clean, although it didn’t happen until around 4:30, guess they’re just busy. The carpets need to be steamed and or replaced. The beds on the other hand are the worst I’ve ever slept on, no plush/pillow nothing. If/when they replace the beds I’d stay again.
Stayed here recently while visiting family in the Orlando area. The room was very clean, the bed nice and comfortable with a selection of pillows with different firmness labeled right on the pillow case. Air-conditioning worked great and we were able to control the room temperature very accurately (nice and cool for sleeping). Lots of areas to plug-in devices, they even included USB chargers embedded into the wall plates - convenient! Nice bathroom set up with a decent sized walk in shower and large sliding door opening. Large shampoo, conditioner, and body wash containers are mounted on the wall in the shower. Only improvement could be the addition of a shelf to hold my bottle of shampoo or bar soap. Our king suite room was located right behind the elevator bank and we were very worried about noise from the elevators, but it was extremely quiet, never heard a sound. Polite front desk staff and efficient housekeeping staff. Good and safe location right off Narcoossee road, close to the airport and restaurants, ATMs, filling stations etc. Publix supermarket is just down the road. Overall a very nice clean and convenient place to stay, if we visit the area again we will stay here.
We chose this hotel due to the proximity to the Orlando airport and the shuttle service that was offered. We arrived late (10:30 pm) and needed a place to sleep the first night, so this seemed like a good place to go. The hotel is almost brand new and the accommodations were nice. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was not a lot of excessive noise in the room. The craftsmanship in the rooms did leave a little to be desired, but we were there for only one night. The breakfast is the typical Holiday Inn Express fare. The area was well maintained, the hot food was hot, the coffee was good, and my 12 year old son enjoyed getting pancakes out of the machine. Upon checkout we returned to the airport to pick up a rental car. The shuttle driver was helpful with loading the bags and getting us to the correct spot. This is where a seemingly 4-5 star review takes a sharp turn for the worse. Within about an hour of us getting on the road for Miami, my wife realized that she forgot an item in the room. She immediately called the hotel to inform them that she forgot this item, told them what it was, where it was in the room, and stated that we would be back on Sunday to pick up the forgotten item (this was a Thursday). The person at the front desk said the item would be there and we could pick it up. However, when we returned on Sunday they "could not locate the item". After waiting for them to search multiple locations over about 15 minutes, my wife decided to leave a name and number with them and asked that they call if it was located. We were staying in the area until Saturday that week, so we were willing to come back and get it if they called. We STILL have not received a call from them about this issue. I have emailed the general manager 3 times, and have not received a reply from them either. I am VERY disappointed that we cannot even get a response from them. The rooms may have been decent, but I would NEVER stay at this property again due to the complete lack of respect from management. I expect more from a property at $165/night!
Me, my daughter and my 10 year old grandson, just recently stayed at the resort for four day?s and three nights. We chose this hotel because of convenience and was greatly disappointed with the stay. Day 1- Day 4 The toilet was loose and had a big pubic hair on the side of it. It was rusted and had black dirt looking stuff on it. The door hinges were rusted and had been painted over several times. There were cracks in the wall and the base boards, which you could see the wood. The walls and headboards were terribly stained. Underneath the sink it was rusted and the walls were also stained. The A/C unit had wires hanging from underneath it loose. The ventilation vent was filled with dust and needs a thorough deep cleaning The elevator look as if it had not been cleaned in a very long time, the floor of the elevator was dusty and needed a good cleaning. The floors and carpet in the hallways was never swept, mopped or vacuumed from day one and were in desperate need of attention. Last day of check out toilet and all other items remain the same. Same large hair in the same place it was upon check in. Upon checkin the Lobby and pool areas appeared to be kept up somewhat, at least better than the rooms and hallways. Our stay was unpleasant and we were never able to relax completely.
Having saved for a number of years to earn IHG points, we spent them all towards a 4 night stay during our trip to Orlando. It is a fairly new hotel situated around 11 miles SE of MCO but within easy access to the 417 and the parks which on the whole are around half an hours drive away. The hotel appears to be part of a new developing area and feels safe. It is situated just off a busy road but we have a lovely lake view king room and it was very quiet . Lots of parking and I think they do a airport shuttle bus as one was outside. Reception check in was very quick and friendly. They did swipe my credit card fot something called incidentals. I am not entirely sure what that is. I will check on my credit card statement but I assume using the gym is free??? The lobby is very nice, very contemp and modern. The is a small outdoor pool (didnt use but looked nice) a good size gym with all that you need along with a business area. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake. It was large clean and modern. You can earn extra IHG points if you do not want housekeeping as a tip. The bathroom has a nice walk in shower with plenty of shower gel shampoo soap etc. Power points and nice tiled flooring. The water pressure in the shower is not great but I guess most are eco these days and it does take longer for the soap and shampoo to rinse off. Not a problem though. The large superking bed is superb. If you are short then you may need a step ladder to get onto it but it is so comfortable. I slept so well everynight. The temp control is very good. In room safe, black out blinds, good tv with a very nice coffee maker. It was superb and so much better than UK HIE's. The breakfast was simple but did the job. Fruit, yogurts, pancakes, cereals, bacon, sausage , egg etc. It got you started for the day plus those lovely cinnemon buns. Thank you Holiday Inn Express Lake Nona, it was lovely.
We stayed here last night before our cruise and had a great experience. Hotel picked our group of 11 up at airport just like they said they would. The driver was very nice and welcoming, as was all the staff we encountered. Front desk recognized we were rewards members at check in. Hotel is newer and the area around it is developing so everything is new and fresh. We were happy with our room and slept good. Continental breakfast was good and we appreciated a gas station and Walmart across the street. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again! CZ
This is a newer a hotel and a great location. There are lots of places to choose from to eat at. Staff is very friendly. Manager is excellent with people skills. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
I stayed during a business trip. I arrived to the hotel early and asked if I would be able to check in since I was going to be in business meetings all day and into the evening. THe front desk agent did not even bat an eye and found me a room. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a long time. Breakfast was good and the staff in a pleasant mood. Will definitely stay again when out on business again.
