We got the king suite and size was just great- but cleanliness was not, electrical wires running through the room, dirty kitchen area, and playdoh on rugs. Needs major update. However, manager on duty went looking for hdmi cable to hook up cable that was missing from our room at 11:30 pm- kudos to him. Breakfast was a joke- granola bars, apples, coffee, juice, cereal, and toast.

I booked our room which was a cheap price ($63 per night) then read the reviews which didn’t make it look good. This place is perfecty fine, no it’s not new but it’s not run down in any way. The staff are nice and it’s obvious they put in an effort to keep it clean. Our room was nice and had a view of a beautiful old church across the road. The area was made to sound like a troubled area in other reviews, that’s nonsense. It’s a nice quiet little town. The maid service was on their toes too. Continental breakfast was available as stated at 6am and was good. Anybody saying there are not modern upgrades should ask themselves how they expect to pay $63 a night and have all those improvements made ? If you want the Ritz stay at the Ritz and pay 4 times as much. If you want a nice place to stay this is it.

Was very convenient the staff was nice and was clean! Would definitely go back.

Needs to be updated & the elevator should be repaired

Run down, not modern, stains and peeling wallpaper, cigarette burns on blanket, rusty appliances

Excellent front desk staff . Easy check in. Great value

Cigarette smoke in my room. No hot water. No pool.

I was in town to visit relatives so I really just slept there. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was clean and met my needs. I must tell you, I have stayed many places even in Las Vegas and have never run into such pleasant employees. The girl at the desk (Eileen) was working a double as someone had called off and I would have expected her to be a little off, but she was wonderful! She went out of her way to help with a TV problem. The hotel needs a face lift but other than that I would recommend it to anyone.

Hotel was very nice. Staff was super friendly. Shower worked well as did toilet. Hotel lobby was appealing when you walked in. Overall hotel was clean. Hotel was well located considering not a whole lot around. Easy check in and out. Would just prefer a fridge in every room instead of getting charged separately for one. Glad it was pet friendly.

Yes this hotel is dated, but for the price (cheap!) I cannot complain at all. My husband found the king size bed to be uncomfortable if he was in the middle, however I didn't have that problem. There used to be a Denny's next door but it has closed but only a short drive to other restaurants. The pool is closed so that was a disappointment but didn't really have time for it anyway. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with my 20 questions. There is a lounge with some food and had live music on weekend. The room doors are not soundproof so you will hear conversations in the Halls, but it was pretty quiet and didn't disturb us.

Great location, comfortable bed. Website is misleading as to breakfast served daily, you need to pay for it if you want a small refrigerator in your room, (kind of odd)

Great service. Room was clean. Great pool. Would stay in a howard Johnson again

Check in was at 3:00 pm got to hotel at 5:00 pm couldn't wait to relax after traveling went to room and it wasn't clean. Went to the desk and they said they would get it next didn't offer me nothing for the inconvenience.

There was a private party for swingers, and half naked women walking through the halls, not good looking ones either.Glad my kids were not wirh me.room was not ready when they said it would be. My sisters oakley sunglsses and phone charger mysteriously disappeared.

I paid in advance through an online travel site. I was traveling with my 86 yr old mother. Requested a handicapped accessible room. When we check in, we had not been assigned an accessible room. We got that fixed at the desk and were finally assigned the correct room. When we got into the room, it had not been cleaned. The bed had been slept in and made but not changed. The bathroom had not been cleaned and there were dirty towels in it. There was dirt and human toenails on the floor. We called and the girl at the desk said there was no one to clean, but she could come and change the bed. she did this, but didnt have a comforter to put on it. The hotel was old and dirty. The hallways smelled like smoke. They played the radio with static in the public areas the whole time we were there. The pool was out of commission the whole time we were there. The desk and cleaning staff did their best to do what they could for us, but there was no way to improve this hotel really, and there was no other available rooms in town that were handicapped accessible. The towels were cheap and didnt look clean The shower ran all over the bathroom floor. Worst hotel stay ever.

It is pet friendly and sometimes you sacrifice luxury to travel with your pet. Notice I said "sometimes".

--AC not work very well, bugs in bathroom, and this non-smoking room is apparently a smoking room at times as well.

This place was AWFUL! It was disgusting. The toilet didn't work and I had to go downstairs to use the one at Denny's which wasn't much cleaner, but at least it flushed. There was dirt everywhere. It was awful and I would NEVER stay there again.

Very Clean, Big Comfortable Rooms, Very Pleasant Staff. Would recommend this hotel and will stay here again on my next visit.
