I had an enjoyable but brief stay - clearly many places to visit that I missed. Unfortunate that some less fortunate individuals create some mild/moderate stress for others in the area. Every community struggles to find the balance between proper assistance and proper regulation.
I stayed here July of 2021 in one of the rooms that had not been remodeled. It was comfortable but not very appealing. This stay was in one of the renovated rooms. VERY NICE. Everything worked, no problems or issues. Cleaning staff was excellent. Facility still needs to have at least some vending machines available. While there is a convenience store less than a couple blocks away, it's not practical if you get the munchies at midnight. One other thing, Charlie's Diner is right around the corner and is excellent for a great breakfast or lunch before you leave. Bottom line is motel is in the process of updating and the updated rooms make it a good place to stay while in the Norwich area. Staff are very helpful. I would recommend staying here as I'm sure the improvements will continue making this a comfortable spot on yiur trip.
