"Stayed here before an early flight out of OAK. The staff here were really professional and hospitable. Kudos to whomever is training & managing them. Loved the relaxing waterfront location - plenty of walking trails nearby. The building itself was a little dated, but still cute and comfortable. Im afraid the pillows were horrid: really hard and uncomfortable. Heat/air conditioning worked well. Free airport shuttle is nice (but it doesn't start until 6 am and we had to be at the airport at 5 am). I’d stay here again (and bring my own pillow)."

"The hotel was very nice and the location was fantastic. However, our room lacked blackout curtains, and with the lights outside it was pretty impossible to sleep. When I asked at the desk, they said they were out of them."

"Fantastic amenities make this our go to, preferred choice for a staycation within the greater Bay area. The athletic facilities and spa services are standouts, as is the strong sense of history that you receive by simply walking around the hotel and common areas. Housekeeping is wonderful. Rooms are spacious, and well appointed.There are small signs of deferred maintenance here and there, such as dirty carpets in the entryway, and some peeling wallpaper inside the rooms themselves, but none of this distracted from what was an all-around wonderful stay at the Claremont. We will surely return and always look forward to subsequent visits."
