Not clean. Bed springy and not comfortable. Air conditioning barely kept up w moderate warm weather. After a bad bed and warm night it was a relief to leave. Shower filthy. Tv from the last century.

Hotel was clean, staff was wonderful. We should have had a pull out bed to sleep on. there was not a pull out bed. 5 people 1 bed, we made due. It was only an over night stay. Area around hotel was safe. Shopping and ocean within walking distance.

Hotel is very old, you don't have the view of the beach anywhere from the room. Everything was crammed, limited and small parking spaces. Our room did not have WIFI connection, told the front desk, he came over to check and said that the router was in next room and was turned off. The TV in the living room was not connected and was not working. The TV in the room was of those old tube kind. The carpet was old with rips at the seams, several rips/ holes on the curtain too. Not all power outlets have power, when found one with power it didn't charge all the time. Several lamps don't work either. Not a good experience at all. Night time desk clerk was okay but day time clerk was not friendly, told him about WiFI and he just said we should get good signal from that room.

Great location. Rooms nice for the price, beds comfy, staff was accommodating and helpful.

Nice room, walkable to shops and restaurants, great staff except for 1, manager is great!

We've stayed at this motel many times due to ongoing Court hearings in Alameda County. I always prefer a room on the upper floor which hadn't been noted, but they were able to make great accommodations for us right away. Worked out perfectly! Really nice outdoor mall right across the street with great stores & restaurants. Beach is 1/2 block away for a nice walk or just some "down time"! Great staff!

It rates a "5" as far as our own experience. We're low key travelers and are not bothered by little things that aren't "perfect." Coral Inn has very reasonable rates on rooms with incredible views. It is an older establishment - and has a bit of a "worn" look in certain instances. (I.e., Drapes didn't come fully together; I used a clothes pin to hold them tight.) We were upgraded to a suite and it was wonderful.....big private balcony; great location.) We spent just 2 nights....would love to come back for a week.

This is my go to place now, good shopping and restaurants, good public transportation, safe and inexpensive.

Check in was smooth, room was spacious and quiet. Hotel is older but comfortable and clean. TV remote broken but tv worked fine though older CRT style. Lanai faced lovely pool and common area with well kept garden. Breakfast provided included beverages, milk, coffee, tea, OJ, and hot cocoa mix. Eats were bread for toast, with real butter offered, donut, cold cereal and cartons of yogurt. Location convenient to many bay area attractions and short drive to several decent restaurants.

The rates are awesome for a Suite with the in-room kitchen, however, a good paint job on the Patio and upgrade on the In-room and Patio furniture would be awesome because these Suites are on the waterfront and that makes it an even better stay. Thank You.

Very surprised to find the motel with such charm and very reasonable priced. Located in walking distance of shopping area with great restaurants , shops and Trader Joe's and Safeway.

Isn't anything too fancy the floors could have been a little cleaner the refrigerator was a little Dusty on top it's good for a family it's in a safe area and there's a nice shopping plaza across the street the TVs are super old in the rooms but very reasonable price. Bedding is very outdated.

We've stayed at Coral Reef many times, always pleased with its convenience and price. THis time we stayed in a recently refreshed room-- new bathroom and walls painted. As always we were pleased with Coral Reef's modest but satisfactory facilities. The free breakfast was good.

Great location. A little outdated but decently priced

We've stayed here a couple of times, it's convenient, low key, and clean and updated inside. Everytime I stay here I think I should come back and stay longer.

When we checked in we had a one bedroom suite but our wifi reception was poor and the tv wouldn't receive the stations we wanted to watch. When we told the front desk our problems they offered to let us switch rooms. We were able to switch to a room with good wifi and a tv that worked. Although the property is old it is well maintained and located across from a shopping center with places to eat or groceries for eating in and close to the beach. All-in-all a good value.

Already did above, however I liked the proximity to the ocean. The only downside is that it was a long distance outside of Oakland, originally I thought that it was in Oakland. I missed seeing Oakland .

Raider game....good location. Nice for walking around town.

The room we stayed was very quiet.. our room was clean , comfortable and spacious.. ..walking distance to restaurants and beach ..overall the hotel met all our expectations ...

The good: clean and very quiet. Not so good: cheap, uncomfortable mattress. No elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. No shuttle to the airport or BART, so you need your own car.
