This hotel was beautiful to look at as soon as u walked in. The room was very cozy with a lot of modern updates. And the bed was very comfortable.
Old and in need of remodeling. Furniture in lobby old and very worn.
Rented 2 rooms for a family trip to Bush Gardens Christmas town. One room was so dirty that they were moved to another room. The second room was a little better. Furniture dusty and run down, Heating system old and very loud. Not typical of previous stays at Holiday Inn Express hotels in other states.
Central location with access to all areas. Very clean rooms and facilities and friendly personnel. Its always great to be greeted with a GOOD MORNING! Good suggestions in taking the train to Norfolk for a quick visit. Will recommend it to anyone. William Mulinelli
We had to get another room after we pulled the covers back and found a huge nasty stain on the bed. The next room was great. The pool had a really nasty coating on it I suspect it is hard to keep the chlorine levels up and the filter may have been clogged. Housekeeping was great!
Stay wasn't bad at all. If you don't mind staying somewhere decent thats about 15 mins from the beach, then this place is a winner. The check-in process was just as any other hotel. The room was clean and updated with nice fixtures. Perfect place for a family of four. The website states there's an indoor pool and even the hotel's digital map. However, the indoor pool was closed and appeared to be used as a storage room. The lobby was warm and welcoming with nice stone accents all over. The outdoor pool was nice. The Wi-Fi sucked! My phone's 4G was 10x faster. However, there is a business center that has two computers and a printer that has high-speed internet access. Overall I would stay here again and recommend this place.
it was clean, great value and service for my money. will go back again
The hotel itself was easy to find and located ideally in relation to the friends we were visiting on this trip. The breakfasts that we ordered for room service were excellent my mother in law especially liked their coffee. The service/wait staff who brought our meals were also excellent and friendly. With regards to house keeping, it did not seem as if they replaced our hand towels daily. At one point it was obvious that they were just refolded. Not too sure if the beddings were replaced at any point during our stay either. But then we were there only for two nights. What really annoyed me during our stay though was the very disappointing people at the front desk. When we arrived late at night due to our flight being super delayed, they did not bother to get anybody to help us with our luggage. Apparently, if a guest arrives at/past midnight, they're out of luck if they have a lot of luggage. On our last day I had to print our boarding passes at their business center. The printer was low on ink and needed replacing. A call to the front desk did not yield any results. I had to leave our personal info on the computer for anyone to see while I went to the front desk to ask for someone to replace the ink. If we ever go back to Virginia we won't book at this hotel again.
it was great and very nice clean staff was very friendly, the food and bar was great, thank you
i was there to visit friends. clean and neat. service was quick. location was close to highway. just what i needed.
The staff was friendly, and the rooms were quite lovely and spacious. It's also conveniently located if you have a vehicle (right off the highway). Highly recommend this place.
Restaurant could have been better. Staff was very friendly. Location right off the highway but not a lot of restaurant near by unless you have a car.
I have been to several hotels in this area and never been very impressed for the sub $120 a night range. The first room didn't have working lights so we were switched to another floor. The room was fairly clean, Nothing major was missed by housekeeping but it could have been cleaner. the room had 2 mini fridges and neither one worked witch really didn't matter to us. when we returned to our room on the second night the housekeeper that went into our room did an amazing job and it was cleaner than when we arrived. Overall I would rather stay at another hotel and probably wont return but it wasn't a bad stay
Close proximity to the airport. Many business travelers were in the lobby each morning. There is a lounge area in the lobby which is busy all night.
Stayed here to be close to the airport... was pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated it was. Staff was very friendly
I really enjoyed my stay with my hubby. It was awesome. My room was clean, friendly staff .
Had dinner at the bar, pretty good. What you would expect from a holiday inn.
Stayed for an overnight in Virginia beach. Rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly.
Love that the hotel wasn't too far from the beach and that it had an outdoor pool. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. It was very easy to check out of the hotel and I would definitely choose this hotel again. The room was very clean and I love the massive bathroom.
Hotel was packed with students and family visiting for NCAA events and college graduations. None-the-less, the hotel was running smoothly and we had no issues about the service or upkeep of the hotel or our room. Internet was a little slow and probably needs an upgrade. Hotel is just off a freeway exit and easy to reach from the airport. In addition, the hotel is equidistant between downtown Norfolk and the resort area of Virginia Beach.
