Easy check in, instructor led fitness class, accommodating with a late check-out policy.

gorgeous property, loved it there. would definitely go back

Beautiful setting and super friendly staff. Did not golf or use the spa but all 3 golf courses as well as the spa were beautiful.

Nice resort in an urban setting. Decent facilities. Do not expect anything that is exceptional or unique. A bit pricey given that has average facilities.

The spa was very good. However, you have to book a treatment to use the facilities. I was there with my 11 years son - and I wish there were more things to do for or with children.

All good so far!! We have had a nice stay. Room service is a bit slow...

Great pools, great location. Peaceful escape from DC.

Great experience. Staff friendly, and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!

We decided to get away for one night (sat-sun) and had wanted to try this place. This hotel deems itself a "luxury" place, but the details just don't add up. The resort fee is a terrible joke, for starters. You pay an additional fee for "free parking," to use the health club, and for wifi. And the front staff rattle this off without flinching, as if we are not standing in THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE VIRGINIA and the "healthclub" isn't just a fancy word for hotel pool and jaccuzi. I'm pretty sure that I could go to a Days Inn and just use the pool as a hotel guest, since that's part. of. the. deal. I don't mind paying money for nice stays, but this is about the principle. Standing in the middle of a dessert and telling me that I am getting free parking seems like a disgusting business practice. Also - the indoor pool and jacuzzi, although heated and operational haven't been updated since the 80s, is my guess, and the locker rooms were just gross from a bygone era. This hotel was recently named top 6 in the South and I'm curious how this occurred. Bicycle rentals are not included in the "resort fee" and cost an additional $25 for the day. If you want to be a true luxury hotel, then don't offend people with your grasping for pennies, especially when people are paying high costs for rooms.

The gentleman at reception was very friendly and genuinely interested in making me feel welcomed. The room had a nice view and was spotless with nice amenities.

My second stay at Lansdowne was even better than my first.

My husband and I arrived late in the evening after our wedding, and were treated to a cold bottle of champagne and a room upgrade to a suite by the front desk staff - thank you so much (it must have been my bridal dress and his tuxedo that gave it away)! We found the suite very spacious and wonderful, although we found the room itself a little outdated in decor. BUT - we weren't there to admire decor, and we honestly didn't spend any time in the facility itself. We'd love to spend more time there under different circumstances, and are writing such a positive review due to the fact that the staff was so wonderful to us!

The hotel room needs a little facelift for the cost of the rooms The shower was weak pressure

The hotel was nice, but pricey. There were separate charges for everything. The view from my room was amazing. The upkeep of the property was obvious, it was very clean. Things seem to be conveniently located, but there could have been better located and descriptive signs giving directions within the hotel. There was a variety of food choices conveniently located in the immediate area.

Staff was very friendly and it's in a pretty location. I just wished that the adults-only pool wasn't next to the kids pool that played loud music all day on Saturday - that wasn't very relaxing.

Will always stay here when traveling to the DC area.

Good for golfers. Although the staff was very helpful and pleasant, I was overall disappointed. Not what I expected. The hotel needs a good designer to freshen up the overall appearance of the resort. It looks very old. Like a hotel in a scary Halloween movie. It has very good bones. The room with two full beds was too tight. Three people could barely move around in there. The bathroom was too small. The golf course views are beautiful. The location is ideal. We went shopping then left there and completed our weekend visit at the nearby Salamander Resort in Middleburg. This was an excellent finally for my birthday weekend. I liked the Lansdowne resort. However, I think it seriously needs décor updating
