When we first walked into our room, I noticed that it was very small (it was the room with one queen bed). Then a cockroach ran across the table. We immediately called and requested another room. They quickly apologized and gave us another room that I checked thoroughly for cockroaches and found ...
On our stop in New Braunfels, Tx. we stayed at the Sleep Inn & Suites and were very pleased with our stay. The first room assigned to us had no running water in the handicapped shower. The second room the tub/shower was horrible. It looked like it was never cleaned but it was just badly stained. We hestitated to put our feet in tub. the rest of the room was fine.
Hotel is very centrally located to Gruene, Prince Solms Park and the Comal River, and Schlitterbahn. Grocery stores, restaurants, and a mall are very close by. Room was clean and comfortable and a great bargain for the price.
The hotel beds were comfortable and the room was overall clean. The location is perfect and centrally located in San Marcos. They give free cookies all night! However, we listed 2 adults and 3 children would be staying in the room for 2 nights, yet were only given 3 towels/rags both nights for some ...
Dead bolt on room would not work. No room service. Had to get TP roll, shampoo, towels and Kleenex from front desk myself since they were not in room! One of the two elevators was not working through our stay. Breakfast bar service was slooooww!

First time at this Wingate. Very impressed. Nicer than the adjoining hotels in the parking lot. Room was very clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Fitness center was above par with free weights and machines. Breakfast was good and wifi was strong. Did not use business center or pool. Only con was the website only had accessible king rooms available. Not a fan of those.
Hotel was what we expected it to be. The rooms were clean. Hotel is older and needs updates and new carpets . Over all I feel we got what we paid for. The free breakfast is very limited but it is free. Staff was very nice and helpful. Beds need updating bad.
The hotel was quiet. The staff was welcoming and friendly when we arrived. The room smelled. The beds were uncomfortable. The area was safe to walk our dog outside.
The bed was not so comfortable but the price was affordable
