Our check-in time was 4pm, but they were not sure they had a room available for us on our arrival at 4pm, however they did manage to eventually find one.We stayed 4 nights and our room was never cleaned before 4pm the following day and on one occasion the room was cleaned after 6pm. The property is definitely understaffed! The pillows were of very cheap quality. I would encourage management to invest in a couple of quality pillows for each room rather than 5 inferior pillows per room. I could not wait to finish up my stay as both my neck and back were getting progressively sore with each passing day. Leaving the hotel was an experience all by itself. The exit empties onto a frontage road where cars are exiting the freeway at a high rate of speed. I would recommend a turbo-charged car to get you out of the parking lot safely. The hotel is described as a village, but I could never figure out what was so "village" about it. I think a more accurate description would be river front property. All in all, I would never stay at this particular hotel again in the future.

great experience and great hotel wish i had more time to stay longer

I came for a job interview and arrived at nearly midnight. The staff were very welcoming and courteous.

Perfect location to explore New Braunfels, the wineries and the Hill-country. Beautiful grounds along the river!

Nice hotel for weekend stay to view Texas State University.

Superb! Great service, super clean, and beautiful grounds!!!

Great hotel!!! Great staff! Super comfy beds!!! Highly recommend !!!!

staff was excellent and friendly. took my wife for a quick weekend getaway. Planning on returning with the kids as well. Perfect for family or just a quick romantic getaway....

nice hotel on the river. the staff was great and just accomodating to whatever your needs might be. Id stay there again

I would visit this hotel again but to explain my rating: Two positive things of note: The rooms are good for the price and are well-kept. The staff is friendly and assisted with anything I needed. Two negative things of note: The entrance/exit is on an extremely busy axis road. It took nearly 10 minutes just to pull-out both times I left the hotel. I have a good driving record and have driven all over the Southwest, but this exit is simply atrocious. I needed assistance at the front desk in the middle of the night and had to wait nearly 20 minutes before someone appeared. She was very polite and took care of me but I was informed she was the only person working. This isn't the employees fault but management's. There should be more then one person working your desk in the twilight hours. This is a hotel. Side notes: I was really visiting with people in San Marcos but did not like the hotel selection in that town. This hotel is right down the high way and was convenient for my trip. I would do it again.

I took my 3 kids to this hotel this past weekend - was there for 3 nights, 4 days - absolutely loved it!!!! The location is great - right off the freeway - right on the river!!!! The staff were so very nice - the rooms were clean, overall the whole experience was GREAT!!!! I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!!!

I expect no surprises when I travel. I got what I expected. Great location. Great staff. Great room. Lousy weather, but not the fault of the hotel.

The location is pure "get away" in your own back yard. The river curves right out side and the fire place not fire pit is welcoming on the cool night. The outdoor chairs are comfortable but the view is what will bring us back.

Was pricey, but has a great view of the river. When we first arrived , room had a dirty wet towel on the floor, carpet was not vacuumed well, and sheets on bed were very wrinkled. We put the wet towel outside door and before we could call the front desk, hotel staff removed it. Hotel is fairly new and in great condition,so we were surprised that the matress on bed was uncomfortable. Staff was friendly.

This Marriot Courtyard is easily comparable to a 4 star hotel, very friendly staff and beautiful decor, our room was huge with a great view of the river. Very clean, classy and family friendly. The best thing was that it was perfectly located to enjoy all of New Braunsfuls and San Marcus.
