I do not know how it happened but we got a room for the disabled. The bathroom was part of the shower. The shower was not enclosed. I hated it. But my husband refused to try for another room and he thought this must be the only room available. It is just that we made the reservations in March for September 13 thru 15th far in advance. We always had a pleasant stay in the past. This was the hotel we always stayed at for the races at Laguna Seca.

I stayed only one night. Arrived late at night left early in the morning. The hotel looks new and has a nice modern look. It's quiet. In a good location if you are looking for a one night stay. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. When I arrived it was late at night and I went straight to sleep. In the morning I noticed few weird things that made me question how well the room was cleaned after the last guest. Just to name one of the red flags: there were few dirty coffee cups randomly left on the counters. I would say just check the room before you settle in - you may want to switch it. The staff was very surprised but polite when I mentioned it when I checked out in the morning. The place looked nice and was comfortable otherwise, therefore I was very surprised with the incident myself. I would give them another chance.
Hotel was under construction (total remodel with no lobby) and would not have stayed had we known in advance.
The Hotel room was newly remodeled. ..so everything was new and clean. Room was large.centrally located for all attractions. A negative......not enough parking when full. We ended up having to park in front of the registration area.
Staff was great for check in and very helpful. Room was clean and good size for family of 4. Typical la quinta hotel with furnishings. Would stay again.
We had a nice quiet, clean room with wifi. Parking was easy and good breakfast selection. This is the third La Quinta we have stayed and all have been pleasant. Definitely will come back when vacationing Monterey. There is a coastal trail next to the hotel heading to the wharf and other attractions that we will do on a return trip.
We often stay at La Quinta's as we often have our dog with us. We did not have her with us this time, but chose to stay as the price and location were good for us. Good thing we did not as this La Quinta does not allow dogs. Everything was fine. From the posting, it sounded as if the breakfast was more extensive than most La Quinta's, but that was not the case. Same offerings. Breakfast area was a bit cramped vs. other La Quinta's we have stayed at.
If you cant afford the higher priced neighboring hotels in Monterey/Carmel, this is a good option. The staff is very nice and I felt safe traveling alone for work. The room was comfortable and quiet, great TV, but the sofa and chairs were quite worn. And, I think there is mold in the bathroom. Its an older place but for a good, quiet night sleep it works fine. You can tell they are trying to update some things in the room. I'd book again.
Not much of a view and a little noise but comfortsble and clean and inexpensive. Short drive to downtown, restaurants, beach and sights. Friendly receprtion staff.
