The continental breakfast was much better than it sounds. In fact, it was quite good: eggs, sausage, waffles… I wouldn’t exactly call the front desk service welcoming. Parking was $17, which always bothers me when I’m paying these sort of prices for a room.

Great location with 5-10 minutes of walking distance to Cannery Row and many shops and restaurants. I stayed there for 1 night to bike to 17 miles drive and also to the sand dunes in the Sand City. A 10/10 experience. The underground parking space at a reasonable fee is safe and spacious.

Location was very good, but the hotel was misrepresented on the website. It fits more into a motel sort of an establishment. Very outdated and old. Breakfast choices were very disappointing. A big letdown. Surprised that Expedia didn’t do due diligence before posting it on its website with an “exceptional” rating. We have been relying on Expedia among others for years to do hotel research but this might be an eye opener not to rely only on one travel website.

A very nice hotel in Monterey

The room is good size with fire place. The staffs are very nice. Breakfast is the best and don’t missed it. Location is great, walking distance to Cannery Row, the Aquarium and Pacific Grove. I will definitely stay here again next time when I am in Monterey.
