Asked for a change in dollars to coins but the property staff said they dont deal with any money at all. Checkout process talking to display was a bit strange. Property provided great comfort and easy access to the beach, surrounding areas. Thank you.

I have stayed here many times and I like the new keyless doors. But i didn’t like the new check in system and I didn’t like that with the bathroom sink I couldn’t wash my hands because the faucet is right against the rim of the sink bowl.

The room was very clean. However the TV had an issue of pausing on its own every few minutes, or just changing the channel on its own. The mattress was a bit hard, but that’s me being nitpicky. It was super easy to check in and a unique room. I would book again!

The 2 stars is basically for the location and it is fairly clean even though it is run down. I've stayed here many times in the past and had a good experience. Won't book again. Went to check in at the desk and even though someone was sitting there doing nothing they made me check in on a virtual kiosk which kept breaking up and losing connection. Would never have worked for someone with hearing problems like my mom who was with me. They now charge for parking. Carpet was damp when we entered the room. Again I had to use the app for everything so I chose late check out for $30 because I was whale watching and didnt want to stress about time. Got a call at 11:18 that the cleaning staff was in my room and why hadn't I checked out. I explained the late check out but they couldnt find it. So I rushed back instead of stopping for breakfast only to get a text when I was almost there that oops they found my late check out confirmation. Definitely a different experience than I've had there in the past and for the price, I have no need to stay there again.

The google tv was awful because the Internet connection is awful so it would stop playing a movie or a show every 2 minutes to try and regain connection. The room was small not a lot of space and around the hotel there is a sewage smell that isn't very pleasent. If ur looking for a cheap stay that's close to the beach and ur not going to spend a lot of time in the room it's okay.

I had a horrible experience here. I booked this hotel for two nights, but my family and I were asked to leave after only one because there was an issue with the booking — even though I had already paid for both nights. The hotel had overbooked and decided to give our room to someone else. We were on our way to dinner with our toddler, who was tired and hungry, and because of this situation, we missed our reservation that took days to arrange. My son was crying, and it completely ruined our evening. The front desk staff member was polite and simply following instructions, but the manager, David, was the one who made the decision to have us leave. There was no empathy, accountability, or effort to make the situation right. We ended up booking a room at the Monterey Bay Inn across the street, and the difference was immediate. The room was spacious and spotless, the staff were professional and kind, they brought breakfast to our door, and they even gave us a same-day booking discount. This hotel needs to be far more mindful about how they treat paying guests. Overbooking happens, but displacing a family — especially one with a young child — without any solution or apology is unacceptable.
