Very comfortable. Nice place to stay. Will defi ately be back.

The new female manager/bar tender is an excellent choice for their small but very well stocked bistro.

Plumbing was not working. Water was either dangerously hot or icy cold.

Very nice and quaint hotel. We will plan to visit again when we can stay and enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel.

Nice hotel however only one key per room. It seems for a two bed room they would have two keys.

Absolutely incredible place.... hotel staff made us feel like we were long lost friends. Beautiful place.... inside and out!! Just can’t recommend highly enough!!

Broken room door, breakfast was disappointing, barley any food and it was brought out late

A true piece of historic Mobile, you have to stay at this boutique gem in the heart of old town! Apparently it’s been kept in the family 3 generations so has the authentic feel of a traditional southern home but has been renovated, so the rooms are like new. The spacious room had an extra cozy bed, courtyard view and all the essentials. It’s a short walk to the popular Dauphin St with all of the bars, restaurants, historic landmarks and attractions. Ask the hotel desk about good food options...looking for seafood since on the coast, we were recommended and went to Wintzell’s. Had the best oysters I’ve ever had in my life...charbroiled. Def check out the bar downstairs for a good Old fashion. I loved the atmosphere ! There’s also a delicious breakfast buffet in the morning- biscuits, gravy and grits👍 The whole experience at this hotel kind of makes you want to move there😊

Very old historic building with all accompanying downsides.

Historically, very, very pleasant and quaint. Bed was comfy. Unfortunately, the tub/shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and the drain backed up during a quick shower. Breakfast was very lacking in quality. Worst coffee I've ever tried in my life.

Only planning to stay the night at an inexpensive hotel on our roadtrip across the country. Arrived at 7pm and met the concierge, Vonnie who was lovely and told us a brief history of the hotel and recommended a couple good places to eat (based on our dietary needs). Nice room with a balcony and an extra comfy bed! Continental breakfast was AWESOME! The whole experience blew our minds and wet our appetite for Mobile! We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the stay.I like how we could walk few blocks to variety of shops and resteraunts.

This hotel/inn provided every need with a staff that displays constant warm and helpful skills and manners!! Just a true pleasure in every aspect!! And, I consider myself a bit critical!!

Stayed three days for a convention. The good: Charming civil war era building with a large enclosed courtyard. Convenient downtown location. The not so good: Some conveniences of a more modern facility were lacking. For example, there were relatively few electrical outlets, making it a challenge to keep our devices charged. The TV set was the box version that you can't even give away to the Salvation Army. Breakfast was good the first day but the same every day. Some variety would have been nice. The bottom line: I would not choose to go back, but if you prefer historic charm to modern convenience, you might like it.

Beautiful Hotel that far exceeded our expectations.

David, Thank you so much for your review. We are actually the only family owned and operated hotel in Mobile, Alabama and have been in business for 51 years. I can't thank you enough for your support and continued patronage. The next time you stay with us, you should try Mayme's bar located in the original carriage house. It's just as quaint as the rest of the hotel. Warm Regards,

Dimitry, I am sorry you felt that way. We are constantly making improvements to the building. We are a small family business so we don't have all of the resources other hotels have. Best Regards,
