Loved the property! Our arrival welcome was non existant. Kind of a dissapointment as we felt like a bother. Check out was great! Lovely woman! We’d def stay again. Very unique!

I enjoyed this property however there was a decent size hole in our room in the old hardwood floor and we could literally see down into it when we shined a light in it. The paint was chipping in many places in the room. Wallpaper in room worn and only on 2 walls in the room. Door is old and heavy so it leaves lots of black scuff marks on the hardwood floor. Looked like there has been no attempt to correct the problem and housekeeping doesn’t bother to get the scuffs up. I thought it was so cool at first that they still use real metal keys however the lock on the door worried me every time we left the room. The only protection was the door knob and no way to tell if someone entered the room while we were out. If you like older antique type hotels this is a nice place for you. The courtyard is beautiful. The rocking chairs are welcoming. I appreciated the antique touches such as a wardrobe instead of closet. I paid extra for a balcony room. However I had to lift a heavy old plate glass window and use a stick to prop it up to access the balcony. Every balcony I saw had rocking chairs. Our balcony did not. That was very disappointing. I was looking forward to enjoying the evening in a rocking chair on the balcony. Honestly, that didn’t happen because I was afraid to lift the old heavy window and just had a stick as a prop for it and then…..it’s South Alabama right near Mobile Bay. How was I going to keep bugs out of a 3’ by 5’ open window? Great staff though.

Historic property in Mobile's beautiful Garden District.

Very nice old hotel in Mobile's Garden District.

Old, classic property with lots of character in Mobile's Garden District. When I visit Mobile I always stay at the Malaga.

Very charming historic hotel. It’s an old historic place so do not go expecting it to be brand new. The staff was the most friendly hotel staff I have ever encountered! Great place to stay if there for an event at the Civic Center.

Nice and charming!

Smells moldy in the room, no hangers for clothes and towels etc.

Nice location but not comfortable.

We really enjoyed the outdoor courtyard and fountain. The check in staff was very friendly and helpful. The Inn is nicely located in a beautiful neighborhood and walkable to restaurants and grocery store. Overall an enjoyable time! :)

It's like staying in a museum. Don't expect the hotel chain experience. Rooms are Big and comfortable. Some rooms have terraces. Lots of old world charm.

loved staying there its like its stuck back in time

The property looks like it has so much potential but our room was like an outdated Motel 6. Peeking in other windows as we walked by, other rooms looked better and some quite pretty but ours was dirty and well beyond dated but not historic. Our tub/shower had two different knobs, there were dark red stains on the shower curtain and the walls throughout looked ask though they had never been cleaned. Feeling dirty, couldn't get out of there soon enough.

Beautiful old hotel, high ceilings and nice courtyard.

The property is lovely, charming, antebellum style. Large balcony. Lovely room. A couple of bottles of cold water on arrival would have been nice. The floor to ceiling window onto balcony was wide open at 6 pm when we entered room. It was in the 50s outside so made room cold. All drawers and doors were open. It just seemed strange.

The courtyard was very pretty. Room was plain. Floor wasnt swept very well We wore our shoes all the time

This property was in such bad shape and so sketchy after being in the room for a few minutes we booked and paid for another hotel and left.
