Asked for non smoking and was put into a room that was next door so the smell went through the walls. The property smelled like pee.
Dirty floor, clogged tub drain, broken door, runny toilet. Comfy bed, better breakfast than expected.

First room had not been cleaned. Door was open when we got there…cigarette butts on the floor and an occupant in the room. New room was better, but the sheets were dirty. It’s clear they don’t have the staffing to keep up. The staff that was there were pleasant and apologetic.
The property needs to be updated. I had to have my key reprogrammed every time I tried to enter the room and I found someone dentures on the floor upon my arrival.

They woke me up twice to move my car which i already did at 7am so they could do construction i wasnt informed about and then just laughed when i asked them to stop waking me up as i already moved my car
The Hotel was in a good Location.
The property is a bit worn (discolored ceiling in bathroom, sagging towel rack), but it was clean, safe and well-located. TV didn’t work (maybe the batteries were dead?). They let me store my luggage behind the desk when I toured around after checkout, but the woman at checkin didn’t know that they could do that - luckily the people at check out did. Dauphin Street, the main drag, was a few short blocks. The walking tour was easily accessible as well. Be warned: Uber and Lyft had no cars available, and taxis too! But Google “Taxi Cab Howard”. Very reliable. Mostly a quiet hotel but heard a few people come home around 3am and a car alarm at 4am, but only for a few seconds each. Very good price. Less than half the price of a 4 star hotels block away. I’d stay there again.
The room was disappointing at best. There was no closet bar to hang clothes. There was also no WiFi. The bath towels were dirty. I would suggest staying elsewhere if you have the option.

Floors in room were filthy. Toilet was dirty. Microwave was missing turntable plate. Rooms are very loud due to interstate
