Over priced. Definitely not four stars

I arrived for an early check in and spoke with Debbie at the front desk she was fantastic I didn’t catch the name of the other person working but she was also very nice. I wish my stay had gone as well after I walked away from the desk. We could not get out the pool door the door to the parking garage was not secure and you could just walk in at night there were roaches all around the pool at night the furniture is stained and nasty. There were warm wet spots as I got off of the elevator that was filled with vomit and I couldn’t even call the front desk from my room when I got there because the phone didn’t work. I called the front desk from my cell phone to tell them we weren’t staying. Monique said we would not be charged. However I was charged. For a hotel that is almost 240 a night you should be ashamed.

This hotel has a beautiful Lobby! The parking was really easy & attached to the hotel. The Front Desk Staff & Valet staff we really great! The Hotel room was a bit run down and not clean.

Staff is very friendly

Property was clean security was visible mask were worn by most people not all but workers all wore mask .

I am so disappointed in the Westin Birmingham. I came to check in and was greeted by a very nice man. I checked in no problem. Another guest came right up on me and the staff said nothing, even as she reached over me to give him some candy to pay for. I was appalled that he didn’t say anything, as he had just explained that the restaurant and room service were closed due to COVID. I also had to carry a coffee maker and hair dryer myself up to the room! Once we parked and gathered our luggage and coffee maker and hair dryer, we went inside to wait for the ONE working elevator to take us to our room. It was 9:00 pm and we were exhausted, imagine our disappointment when we arrived at our room and it was being cleaned! Instead of dealing with the one elevator, we decided to wait in the hall with our luggage for 15 mins. My husband went out to find food. I tried to call EVERY button on the phone to ask for late check out, but no one answered. It was unbelievable. Then we tried to take showers, the water pressure was terrible. I will not be staying here again.

Check in was at 4. I arrived at 5 to a lobby full of people and a long line for check in. No rooms were ready and I wasn’t even given a time when one might be ready. They just said they would call me when my room was ready. I drove there needing to shower and get ready for a concert that evening at 7:30. I had to fix my hair and makeup in a public bathroom and go without a shower. At 6:30, I went to see how much longer and was then given the key to my room. No call or anything. Not sure when they would have gotten around to that. It is a very nice hotel and walking distance to BJCC which is why I booked it. But very disappointing because of rooms not being ready. I was livid. I expect more for nearly $300 a night!

Close to airport and restaurants. Shuttle service to airport was timely and available early morning hours. Comfortable beds.

At checkin, Mandy, was above & beyond. The room wasn’t ready. She checked us in and gathered our luggage in a secure location and directed us towards the attached restaurant/ bar. Before we could order a drink, she found us in the bar, handed us our room keys and had our luggage, waiting for us, by the elevator !?!? WOW !!!!!!!

Nice room however one should not have to pay to park vehicle or for continental breakfast when you are staying at the facility.Especially with the high weekend room rate.

Poor service at the restaurant- overcharged my card 3 times more for credit- not knowledgeable in operations, not worth spending 209$ plus tax at all!

This is a nice hotel overall. I stayed for 2 nights. I was in Birmingham for Mercedes Benz meetings. This is the Mercedes Benz preferred Hotel. On my first day I left the Hotel at 7 a.m. to head to MBUSI. We returned at 7 p.m. When I left in the morning I forgot to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. This is something I always do when I travel because I don't need the bed made for me and I don't want people going through my belongings. To my surprise my watch and Headphones were missing along with a few other items when I got to my room. I went to the front desk to report this. They seemed liked they cared. I filed a police report with Birmingham Police. I was told I would get a call in a day or 2 with some sort of resolution or at lease an answer. I did not get a call. I called 2 days later and I was told someone will be following up with you on Monday. "Our customer care does not take weekends off". Well........ A week later I still have not received a phone call from anyone at the Westin or their Parent company. Quite honestly I am shocked nobody has followed up with me. I am writing a letter to Mercedes Benz regarding my experience here. This is not the "Best or nothing'" type of Hotel. No follow up is completely unacceptable. At lease call and tell me there is nothing you can do. 4 Thumbs down!!!!

Though this hotel is very nice, with great room accommodations, I felt they were taking advantage of all of those seeking refuge from the devastating hurricane, Irma. Their prices significantly increaased, compared to like competitors in the area, for a weeknight stay.. they had high prices for self parking and did not even try to help by offering any free breakfast/etc. My father stayed in a city south of us, where the median income was around $37k/year amd they opened up their grounds to Floridians at no cost, provided them with the daily news paper and brought each family boxes of donuts for breakfast. They knew that the devastation these families were going back to was unknown, same as those staying at the Westin, yet they were helpful and did not take advantage of those people. I would have hoped that a business as lucrative as the hotel industry, would have helped more instead of doing what they could to take advantage of those going through a tragic time, like being displace from their home due to a natural disaster that was affecting multiple states.

Bedding was dirty-sheets had dirt stains and pillow had what looked like food on it. Hotel offered for housekeeping to come change sheets but it was 8:00PM. We asked for new room and they gave us one down the hall.

Stayed at the Westin while seeing a show in Birmingham. Was perfect for that. Walking distance (very close). Clean, comfortable hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
