The place is filthy and clearly not deep cleaned between guests. Very disappointed.
This is a beautifully restored hotel. We staid in a gorgeous room with a view of the city. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working well due to “recent cool temperatures allowing the hotel to adjust its cooling tanks and since the days warmed up it was having trouble cooling back off”. Disappointingly we had to be moved to another room several floors down without the gorgeous view. We also looked forward to a few drinks on the rooftop bar. We arrived at 9pm and it was a nightclub atmosphere full of around 100 young adults. It was clearly a night scene for the local youth, not a relaxing spot to enjoy the view of the city. Car alarms went off all night long waking us several times during the night. The hotel was nice, the atmosphere, not so much for what we were looking to enjoy.
This hotel is beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. We always love staying here when we are in Birmingham!

Christy, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our property! I am sorry about the room change inconvenience. Unfortunately, there was a chiller down hotelwide that was addressed Monday morning but did cause some of our higher floor rooms to get hot over the weekend. Know that if you stay with us again, the a/c will not be an issue so you can have another room with our great views! As for the bar, alot of locals come and visit us. Know that we are planning to open up our lobby bar, which has a quieter atmosphere very soon! Thank you again and my team and I hope we have the opportunity to host you again soon!
