I mistakenly booked the wrong date for my stay and noticed it immediately after. I called and he hotel directly and they said I had to change it through Orbitz. I tried changing the date online on Orbit and was told it cannot be done online. I searched for a telephone number for Orbitz customer service but could only found an online chat. On the chat I was told by Orbitz that the reservation could not be changed per rules of the hotel but they would call the hotel directly to see what they can they could do. Orbitz was told by the hotel that if I rebook the correct dates they would refund the incorrect one. I did but was then told I rebooked a refundable reservation but the original incorrect reservation was non refundable so they would wait until I check in with the new non refundable reservation before refunding the incorrect reservation. I checked in and now have been told the hotel will not refund the original incorrect reservation so I end up paying for two reservations but only using one.
