We stayed at the RIU after returning from a cruise. Hotel and Pool area was very nice. Beach front near hotel was not suitable for children to play.

Water in the sink was clogging up, An elevator was broken so it took for ever to go up and down even with the service elevator AND it were full so more time waisted

Pillows and bed need upgraded. Breakfast good. Coffee in lobby would be nice.

Very nice hotel, clean, quite, nice pool, the rooms are big, and very convenient to walk to the beach, take the shuttle or rent a bicicle. would def go back!

trip went well. staff was easy on the eyes..everything went great.

We requested a single large bed, but didn't get it and it seemed like the request wasn't even read. Walls are very thin and we were woken up by crying babies and people running in the hallways. Food was mediocre and expensive

Room service was pretty bad. At fresh towels would be left and dirty towels would be left behind. The room was small but perfect location for nightlife in the beach.

I wanted to stay an extra day after a carnival cruise out of Miami. I chose the Riu because I went to Mexico and stayed at the Riu Palace and knew that this was a chain of that same company. Well it didnt disappoint the aroma as soon as the hotel doors opened was REFRESHING from the decor of the lobby and scenery I knew this was going to be a PERFECT STAY!! We were early of course, and since check-in wasn't until 3p I decided to ask if they could keep our luggage until check-in so my kids and I could enjoy the pool and get some lunch. A hostess was sooooo welcoming and agreed to keep our luggage and proceeded to pre-register me in. To my luck, she had an available room and we got an upgrade and was able to check in early!! The room was FABULOUS and clean. What an incredible view we had very delightful. I would stay at ANY Riu hotel/resort because of the great service and atmosphere they provide!! They also had a latin band poolside and they had everyone dancing! The food was also delicious a little pricey but good.

We loved our motel stay at this lovely motel. Staff were excellent and were so helpful. The motel looked like new and very clean. Good job on everyone's part. We will be sure to return very comfortable and relaxing.

Hotel and grounds were beautiful! Very comfortable rooms and refrigerator was a plus! Food is very expensive in the whole Miami area - I did use the Hotel dinner buffet which was wonderful and in comparison with other restaurants was well priced! Would certainly stay at RIU again!

We were there with one other couple and the room was good sized. The shower was amazing and we had a refridgerator which helped. The food in the cafe and at the pool bar was fantastic. Excellent customer service all around. The valet was worth the $30 a day. It's north of the main action but plenty of great shops and restaurants within walking distance and everything else a short cab ride away.

pros: clean room, big shower, location cons: parking, we had to valet park at a different hotel that was half a mile away

Went to Riu for 5 day celebration in Miami. Plus- on the beach, recently remodeled Neg--boring very quiet in Lobby pool area lots of all day construction notice. Food and little coffee stand/store expensive w 3 people standing around but none knew what to do. $5 for a cheap bottle of water. Our A/C didn't work. Very noisy in halls and adjoining rooms. Our room smelled musty all the time. Just not a very exciting or lively stay

Hotel did perfect. I would have liked to see more parking but it is Miami Beach and they're doing their best

It was a great price for the location. The room was nicely and recently decorated. Their was still some evidence of the age of the hotel, but nothing bad and mostly nice.

During visit the hotel was under reconstruction. We got the updated rooms which are very nice and comfortable. Breakfast is extra charge but is excellent. Would definitiely stay here again.

me and my daughters had a wonderful time at this resort, they let us check in early our room was beautiful in cancun. when checked out our flight didn't leave until the next day they let us put our luggage in the bell mans closet and also had a conceirge room for us to reserve for an hour to take showers that evening everything was great thank you
