Clinton Hotel South Beach

I stayed at this hotel 7 years ago. I got a good impression back them, but it looks like nobody has keep up with maintenance. The lobby looks overrun, pool area looks dirty, I think the have never spend money on new furniture. Sink faucet don't work right. Overall the entire hotel looks overrun. I will not recommend unless is your last option and your priority is location since it is in a perfect location to go to the beach.

Checked into the Clinton for a two night stay. Get up to the room to go out and notice it's very dirty here. Hallway floors looked like someone spilled something in the 70's and no one has ever cleaned it up. The room looks like no one took the time to clean close to the edges where wall meets the floor. The room had spackle which no one took the time to finish or paint. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. After taking close to an hour to rinse shampoo out of my hair ( I am a male with short/medium length hair) I went downstairs to talk to someone about changing rooms. The lady at the counter said that normally the water pressure was great and there shouldn't be an issue. She said to check in the morning and if it did not change, they would move me to another room. The next morning on my way out of the room I found a letter under the door that said they would not have any water in the whole hotel from 10 am - 3 pm the next day. This was a problem since I planned to go to the beach and take a shower before heading to the airport for my flight. I went down and spoke to someone again and informed them that if I could not take a shower I would go to another hotel. I was directed to speak to a manager the following day. I told them I would not be staying and asked that something be done, again greeted with the same answer just speak with the manager tomorrow. I promptly packed up and went to the first hotel I saw down the street. Still charged for a night I did not use.

There was construction at 7 in the morning..i wasnt able to sleep and there was all kinds of additional fees..which was not needed..the breakfast was o.k, but they could have included eggs.

Even when the hotel aspect is obviously not a 5 stars... the management is very good, Jessica the manger is a high standard professional and the personal behave with a lot of respect.

Maybe a good choice for people coming to South Beach to party and just needing a centrally located place to crash. It is a good location, but the room was dingy. We had to ask for a blanket to lay on top of the mattress because the springs hurt to lay on. The pool pictures could not be more deceiving. It's a dark little hot tub size pool. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The pictures of the rooms are fake the breakfast sucked and they over charge for parking

Elevator extremely small and dirty, every single thing is outdated, very limited breakfast options, dirty carpets. Very well located.

Hotel was average. Location was the reason I probably paid so much for it. The beds were ok, the size of the room was ok, the hotel staff was ok, cleanliness was ok, and overall everything was just ok. Wouldn't stay here again unless the prices dropped. The music that was playing outside was cool so that was nice about this hotel.

no bar. did not receive the room I paid for and had to move twice for a 4 day trip. No longer offer free shuttle to the airport. don't stay here!

This Place is a rip off !! Third Floor smells like mildew and wet carpet... Breakast was horrible, had to make waffles yourself, no meat !! Just Orange juice & waffles.. Didn't attempt to use wifi, they charge you 14.99 + Tax for towels, wifi smd breakfast.. Didn't have any face towels on my stay, had to make a fuss about it to recieve them, WORST STAY IN MIAMI EVER !!! Rooms are old

Able to do an early check in but the A/C broke 7 hrs into our stay. We were able to switch rooms. Walls are THIN! YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FROM OTHER ROOMS. We did not have towels in our new room and none we delivered. We had to borrow towels from our friends room. Elevator super slow. We had to take the stairs most of the time. Location and amount of electric outlets was ridiculous. They were very lose and the room phone did not work in either room. Lighting in the rooms is something that needs to be updated. Way too dim. Great location to get to the beach, restaurants, and CVS. That was about the best part. Wifi was also a plus.

Room is bad needs to be renovated everything !! The toilet was running and the plumber came fix it temporary and then left and said absolutely nothing! Next day got to change the room... It was blah! But the view was much nicer I guess. Overall location is great not too far from beach excellent. Location.

The staff there weren't friendly at all , the elevator didn't work , there was not hot water , the pool is like a feet wash , beside that , they charged for using wifi when I didn't used it , they charged for towels , and clean service , 16 dollars by day , and on top of that 30 dollars for vallet parking , that I just left my car for like 2 hours , when I left the hotel , even though I wasn't happy , I was saying thank u so many times ! And the girl just ignore me , I have to yelled at her so she can see that I was there , just not good

Great place to stay close to the beach and all the fun.

the hotel was fairly decent. the rooms were a decent size. it took a long time to get our room clean. The pool was very small. The hotel was close to the beach which was good. the free cocktail happy hour was nice. the staff was friendly.

well located, decent hotel, not too fancy, not too bad I would use it again

Great Location, Great Price. I recommend this Hotel if you are going to be out most of the day

Pros nice hotel, great location, free beach chairs and umbrellas, nice kitchen and bathrooms CONS resort fees are to high for this not to be a resort, roof top pool looks like a bird bath, hard beds, no bar on the roof top pool as advertised bad customer service takes for ever to get extra linens very rude people at the front desk

Good location, bad service. Hotel will overcharge if you are not watching.
