It’s rare to stay in a hotel where you leave wanting to give the worst review you can, but sadly on this occasion we have to. Booked to stay here 2 nights, we arrived at 8pm to check in after an incredibly long flight & discovered the elevator was out of service and we would need to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs. No prior warning was given about the works, and we were travelling with people who had mobility issues. To top it off, our rooms were right outside the works they were doing on the elevator shaft which continued until 9.30pm for both nights. I contacted the supposed ‘24 hour help desk’ to ask when the works would end and got no reply. The next day we discovered a few things in our room were broken so I contacted them again, still no reply. Eventually I had a phone call from a very rude member of staff, ending with her hanging up on me. The customer service at the hotel is non-existent - don’t expect to have any issues resolved during your trip with any competency. Any additional communication via Expedia was entirely AI. We travelled as a group and booked 3 of the same room category. 2 of the rooms were incredibly dark with no natural light whatsoever, one of the rooms had 3 very large windows and was incredibly bright. Seems to be pot lock whether you get a nice room or very dark room - they clearly haven’t got their room categories marketed correctly. In some positive feedback, the free sun beds on South Beach is a lovely touch. Avoid staying.

This is an unstaffed hotel with zero amenities. You even have to pay extra for network TV However, the offsite staff, reached by text, were very responsive. The elevator was out of service during my stay and repair work i cluding drilling and hammering went on even after 5 pm In one case, there was loud noise u til past 9 pm. This definitely affected my review. However, noise in general is an issue. The rooms have no noise insulation. People go on the walkway to smoke and talk and can be quite loud. Street noise is considerable in the rooms closer to the street, and the rooms farther back are accessed by a long outdoor corridor that I found a bit scary. The rooms have European numbering, so the first floor as numbered would be called the second floor I. The US. There are no ground floor rooms . There is NO HEAT so the rooms can get very on winter nights.

The stay was nice, I didn't give this location 5 stars due to the floors being VERY dirty and them having no microwave to reheat our leftovers. I text to ask for them to mop the room, and they responded that room service is scheduled for tomorrow, but after our service day they still did not clean the floors. Our socks were soiled everyday and sticking to the floor which was gross. Spilt some juice and wiped it clean and the towel was almost black from wiping one spot. Other than that everything else seemed clean. The location is great since everything is walking distance but very noisy. The balcony and windows facing the street made it hard to sleep at night because of how lively the location is, sounded like we could hear everything. Great for people watching though. Other rooms may not be as noisy? Parking was around the block so very convenient, wish we could of parked at the property but it was ok. We traveled with a teenager and toddler, they slept on the pull out coach which for an adult would be uncomfortable, my teenager did complain her back was hurting towards the end of the trip but otherwise no complaints. The pull out is spacious (queen) but comfortwise it is what you would expect from a pull out. We loved Miami looking foward to visiting again!

This was a trip for our wedding anniversary, including a cruise. In over 40 years of traveling, this was by far our worst experience. Casa SOBE is run like a prison camp compound. There is no front desk or reception. We were locked out of the compound and denied access by the only person we could reach (by phone). This meant we were stranded on the curb in the heat with our bags for several hours as we attempted to navigate with a person on the phone who was dishonest at every turn. Room lights are on 3 min motion sensors. (Wave your arms wildly every 3 minutes if you need the light on. We could not get our room to cool. When we attempted to adjust the thermostat, we were awakened at 10:46 PM to tell us NOT to adjust the thermostat. (Then we were notified that they would patrol outside our room to make sure we did not adjust the air.) On departing, after taking our first set of bags to the curb, we learned that our access code to the compound had been disabled. We had to wait until some other people (who were experiencing the same difficulties) came to the gate so we could get back in and retrieve our bags, which meant we had to reschedule our ride share. Each time we attempted to politely further a conversation with the man on the phone by pointing out the falseness of his words, he simply pivoted to new falsehoods.

I booked a double premium room therefore I expected 2 beds. My husband & I were traveling with my 16 year old daughter. They ended up giving us a premium king room because that is what they had left. That is not what I chose or paid for. They would not give a partial or full refund for their error. It was uncomfortable having 3 tall people squeeze in bed. If the room wasn’t available, we shouldn’t have been allowed to book it.

it's a good place to stay for a short days. I felt safe to stay in this hotel. It's very clean and comfortable bed. But you have to be prepaired to use your cell phone to register and to do everything by phone. There is no people staff in the front desk. It's nice with a refrige. but no microwave.
