Beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious. Great food at all the restaurants. I love going to this resort.

very nice hotel and staff, beautiful grounds and pool areas

Cons: some parts of the hotel look like ruins. This hotel was top notch 10-15 years ago but now it looks not taken care of. the tiles look faded from sun, outdated. Bathrooms at the pools are just few and you always wait in line. the worst are chairs at the pool. They are broken and you have to be lucky to find them. If you come earlier to reserve, the staff will take it away along with any personal belongings if you leave some. You will pick it up from towel service. Umbrellas are placed in holes on the ground so you can never move them to adjust. Beach is dirty and small. There are only 10 chairs at the beach! There are only 2 choices of sit down restsurants and always lines to get it. Pros: good food and drinks. Edgar at bistro was very helpful!

Awesome.. More than I expected. This survey is asking form more information than I need to add. only complaint is this survey

Booked this property after extensive research. The place exceeded my expectations in every respect. However, I did learn a few things from the few malcontents who dinged this property in their reviews. 1. If you are not receiving the level of service you want, you are not tipping enough. Yeah, yeah, I realize you paid for an "all inclusive." Don't be cheap. The staff that serve you depend on tips for their survival. They are people just like you and I with kids, families, and responsibilities. Try leaving a $20 tip for dinner and see what happens the next time you come in. I guarantee you will get more than your money's worth in the end. You people who complain about having to sign the bills, shame on you. The bills are to show you the value of what you receive. Don't be a deadbeat. Tip accordingly. 2. The towel system is a one for one exchange. The hotel has to do this because people keep stealing their towels. Yes. They are very nice towels but don't be a thief. 3. Yes. They sell time shares of this place. However, they are not aggressive about it. If you are not interested, learn to say no.

Overall the hotel/timeshare is beautiful. The grounds are a step above any all-inclusive to which I've been. The stone work is made to look ancient, the abundant plants are well-maintained, and the pools are clean and beautiful. An oddity we noticed was that they pipe in bird noises via hidden speakers. Strange, considering there are real birds around. The buffet dining had overall good food. I am lactose intolerant and there still were plenty of choices. Some dishes were excellent, but some had a lot of salt. I figured that with the high humidity, it is a necessity to get enough sodium in your diet. The room was spacious and clean, and well cleaned daily. There was a smoker somewhere near us though, and the smoke would permeate the room at times. Service was either exceptional or we were ignored, although mostly exceptional. Even at the buffet, they would put your napkin in your lap for you and get you drinks before you went to get food. Nightly entertainment was virtually non-existent. One night they had a mariachi band play during dinner and then a few dancers came out for a bit but that was it.

Service was great hotel very clean and colorful swimming are very nice . my compliments to the hotel workers on there service I would go back again and again.

We loved the place, staff was excellent, will be back soon!

We had a great time last Thanksgiving at this Pueblo Bonito. The resort is excellent. Just Mazatlan does not offer that much. So we spent all time in the resort.

Hotel was very nice, however, staff at the front desk were lacking customer service skills but the people working the bars at the pools and serving drinks were excellent! We both got sick but it is still to be determined what made us sick, the pillows weren't the best but you can call the front desk and request new ones, the food was pretty good, we also wish the fridge was stocked with water which it isn't unless you walk to the Deli onsite and purchase the bottled water yourself. Probably won't go there again but that is because we like the gulf side better than the pacific side. Also, the beach was awesome to walk on! There is a cafe called Surfs up about 1 mile walk down the beach that we checked out and it was pretty good if your looking to get off the resort without going into town!

The decor is very authentic and beautiful. It has an hacienda feel with a victorian mix.

We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay for a family vacation on Aug 13-17 2014. Its a beautiful LARGE beach hotel, located about 10-12 km far from downtown Mazatlan, so you won't find anything within a walking distance. It has 2 or 3 restaurants, and the food is really good there, but not so good on the snack bars. The food and drinks are expensive so you should go for the all inclusive plan which will take care of everything, tips included. Although you will feel compelled to tip the waiters for their remarkable service (just 1 or 2 exceptions). Be prepared to walk long distances, because the hotel is about 1.2 km across. They have golf carts to take you and your luggage from here to there, but you will have to wait for them 15-20 minutes, or call ahead. The swimming pools are great, they even have an adults only pool for people who want to read or take a nap, no music or volleyball tournaments there. The beach is not so good, really rocky. Didn't try the spa or gym, but looked fancy. I've been to Mazatlan at least 20 times, and there is a lot of things to do and see, so I would recommend to rent a car and go out, don't just stay there.

the best vacation of my life by far exceeded all my expectations, I wish every time you stay at the same hotel.

People were friendly, food was great, great service, and in overall much better than other hotels near by.

This Hotel is without a doubt the best Hotel in Mazatlan, your home away from home. Unlimited luxury, excellent staff service at all times. We would deffinitely recommend the All Inclusive Meal Plan is a must and less expensive than if you pay the meals, snacks and drinks all day long. We will return soon.

This is a nice hotel. Nice pools and nice beach. Restaurants expensive and the service is not the best but it is good.

It was very relaxing...spent a lot of time in the pool..the food was okay, but not "great"...

We spent $100pp for the all-inclusive option. The open buffet was good (not great) but the resort also had a restaurant from which you could order off of the menu (superb each time we chose that option). There seems to be a lot of seaweed on the beach, which caused a fishy smell in some areas at times, but not an issue at the pool. poolside service was great and the beds were way more comfortable than the hotel we stayed at next door later in the week. We took advantage of the spa/massages (both very good, additional charge) and the gym (free) and aerobics classes (additional charge). This hotel is in "new" mazatlan, which is a good drive from the main town, shopping, excursions, etc. I would definitely consider this hotel if I were to go back to Mazatlán.

upon checkin, the front desk clerk, was extremely rude, and informed us there were "no rooms available", and then she said our reservation was not for Emerald Bay, but for another Pueblo Bonito resort "Mazatlan", my printed confirmation I was holding in my hand, clearly stated, "Emerald Bay", she and I went back and forth on this fact a few times, she said, I could speak with the manager, but they were not available, I said yes, I would speak with them, and I would wait....after about five minutes, she returned to us, and said, there was a room after all, still rude as can be, and checked us in , we arrived to our room, to find, it was not ocean view as described in the description, but a view of the back of another building- very disappointed with the customer service, and the room, the bed also was saggy, on both sides, it had a mattress topper, but I think that was to hide the fact that the bed was broken down; it was like sleeping in hammock-

Muy buen hotel, instalaciones hermosas, muy buena comida y atención del personal, tome el todo incluido y sólo le falta incluir mejores bebidas alcohólicas en el paquete pero las comidas son excelentes así como el servicio.
