Monte Carlo Inn Toronto - Markham

Rooms are outdated but very friendly staff. Beds were comfortable

It looked so nice on the web. Who knew that the management and staff were so unprepared and unprofessional. I watched and photographed as the front desk and manager checked in guests DURING A FIRE ALARM. This was not a drill, the control panel was open and showing alarm zones activated. While the siren was blaring and the guests should have been assisted to the outside, management kept stuffing people into rooms. When the fire department arrived, many guests were still in their rooms. During my short stay, I had a housekeeper walk in on me unannounced. Management's response: "we gave her a verbal warning". This property is not operated as a traditional hotel. It is operated without regard to well established rules of safety and hospitality. Expect greater discounts to lure in the unwary.

It was a family visit and I need a decent place to stay overnights in a quiet area away from highways and major roads. Monte Carlo fits into my criteria. The hotel is clean and tidy and is priced right for my budget. It was a nice stay overall.

Good stay - good room - lousy breakfast setup. Would recommend for location and room quality.

It's been not my first time at this hotel. I like location, it is very conveniently situated given my goals. Staff is friendly and reasonably helpful. and in my opinion staying there for a short business trip is very well worth room rate. Definitely my expectations were met, and I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends, including traveling with families or children

I booked this hotel because I mistaken this with Monte Carlo Inn and Suite in Markham. That hotel we stayed for a reunion. We just loved that. But this one is quite disappointing - Front desk not very friendly. Breakfast food served not fresh. We didn't eat there. Facility is obviously aged. We had a hard time finding a parking space. End up parked in a nearby business building lot. Location though is good close to several destinations we were visiting in Markham.

I've been here twice. Not sure I will be back. Free breakfast is bare minimum. Service as well. First time the guy at the desk gave me a late checkout. Second I was given 3 hours earlier even though the hotel was completely empty. Seeing as I booked for this sole reason, I voiced my displeasure but quoted 65 dollars to stay a fee hours more. Ok value however.

Great location, friendly staffs, clean room, excellent stay!

Very convenient location, room is clean, staffs are very friendly and reasonable price. Will go again!

The room was very clean and cozy. I initially booked a room with a king bed with jacuzzi and fireplace and one of the staff helped me to get napoleon suite. The room was fabulous and I would like to visit again.

The hotel was fine. Physical facilities were in good condition. Lobby staff could be more helpful without much effort, but I wasn't there to spend time with them.

The hotel was fantsastic , just wish it had a swimming pool, other than that everything was perfect along with an onsite restaurant.

We extented our stay because of the bad weather. We are lucky to be safe & warm here while there were so many people in Ontario is still suffering from the blackout. Staff are very helpful here.

Beautiful hotel would stay there again & the staff was awesome & the room was always clean fresh towels just a great place to stay

I thought the restaurant was a little pricey for the amount of food. But the room was comfortable and clean, I like the fact that it was close to Toronto. Although a few more free TV channels would of been nice as well.

Pretty cheap hotel, from the toiletries to the towels. Much less than what I expected for the price. Nothing within walking distance.

A nice accommodation. Breakfast ordinary. Had to keep explaining to service people what we had already paid for. Appreciated the free parking.

No issues, kindof an older version of this hotel chain.

Comfortable easy access to the hotel. Accommodating staff. Saturday night Karaoke was very loud, went until 1am - 2am & could hear floors above in room.

We had the Riviera suite, it was very nice. Everything was clean and tidy, the decor was new but seemed dated.
