The room was comfortable and clean. The big tub was so nice! The staff was helpful and friendly.
Overall, not a bad stay. However, when I walked into the room, it smelled like cat urine - more investigation lead to finding the shower curtain, while clean, smelled intensely of mold/mildew/sweat. Went to HyVee and bought febreeze and Lysol all-purpose cleaner and dowsed the entire room with deodorizer and soaked the curtain in cleaner three times before the stench dissipated. I’ve stayed there several times in the past with much better cleaning. This time - wow - truly unimpressive. Do the housekeeping staff not have noses?
Its dated and run down. Could use some updating. Can stay at one of the newer hotels in town for significantly less per night. The staff is wonderful though!! They continually went above and beyond any need we may have had.
The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable but I thought it was a four or five start hotel and it was barely a three. Mismatched furniture in the room, old bath fixtures. No restaurant or bar- I was expecting something different because it showed up when I googled 'best hotels in Mankato.'
I liked the property, especially the ease of parking. I wish there were more resturants close by. I know there was one there but they were either closed for good or closed for covid. I didnt ask.
As I walked in the front door I was greeted with the warm wonderful scent of fresh baked cookies -- yummmm. The young lady who checked me in was expedient but very pleasant, with a warm smile. Since I was only there for one night, I can't really speak to too many of the amenities. The room was clean with the usual hotel appointments (desk, mini fridge, coffeemaker, etc.) Having got in late (and the light dusting of snow and ice) I opted to eat at the restaurant conveniently attached to the hotel. (average food, but a bit pricey.)The free breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and engaging. Overall, I found the hotel to be above average and a nice experience for the price.The staff however was 5 star! Everyone made me feel comfortable and welcomed.
Staff was helpful and pleasant. Property needs to be updated, bed was old and not comfortable. Breakfast was well outfitted, cookies in lobby were a nice touch
Did not like the comforter...it wasn’t flat each pocket was a balled up piece of feathers...unsightly

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, decent breakfast with a good variety. Noise in the hallway after bar/reception closing. Wife loved it./me! Nice bar/restaurant attached.
Spent a very restful night in Mankato. Great breakfast too.
(4) Small cheap pillows and lumpy bed. Large room, clean and quiet. Surprised that they have not upgraded their beds and pillows like other mid range hotel chains.
We stayed here for the night before a bike race, and it was a perfect location and the stay was good. The hotel even opened the breakfast area an hour early so all of the early racers could get food before their long day! Great customer service!
Well layed-out, fairly quiet, comfortable rooms. Great breakfast & staff. Conveniently located to restaurants.
Room was large & very clean. Staff was very friendly. The hot breakfast was great! Frittata eggs Sunday morning were really a treat before having to head home :)

On the other hand we apologize you were not satisfied with the condition of the hotel during your stay. We were due for renovations. Unfortunately, COVID has delayed this process.
