the hotel canceled my stay before I got there. was glad I found an other hotel close by that welcomed us

The walls are a little on the thin side (I could hear others' alarms, as well as folks walking in the tiled corridor), but this place has, hands down, the best breakfast in the land. Sausage biscuits and gravy, hash browns, a station to make your own omelette, and a crepe maker! I ate so well when I came here.

Some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered and an older, but relatively decent older, inexpensive hotel. Room was small, and had older, mismatched furniture, but nothing terrible. Hallways look like they were built 50 years ago, but they were mostly clean. Real problem with this hotel is the staff. Very rude, and even aggressively so. Just a terrible experience and I travel a lot. Please choose a different hotel, there are several other decent ones around, this one is just horrible. If I could give the staff rating a zero, I would have.

I have never written a hotel review before, but this hotel experience was so bad I feel that I should warn others about it. It is an older hotel, so at the price point, you shouldn't expect it to be amazing, but this was bad. The common areas are very, very old and not kept up very nicely, and you get a sense that this a place that no one takes any pride in keeping up. The room itself was fine the kind of room you would expect for 65 bucks. The real problem was the staff. There was a woman at the front desk who was not only rude, she was aggressively so. I attempted to hand her my key as I was leaving, and she pointed to a box across the hall that I was to put my key in. I asked her (politely) if I could just hand her my key and she said no and just stood there. It was just weird. She then just stood there, basically growling at me. Please don't stay at this hotel, ever. There are a couple of other ones in the same area that are about the same price, but much nicer. As a small business owner, I hate writing something like this, but people should be warned NOT to go here. If I could have, I would have given it a zero. Rude, dirty and outdated. Other than that, it was great!

Needs updates. New bathroom updates. A reading light.

It would have been helpful to realize this motel was not close to restaurants. We enjoy walking

This was more of a bare-bones operation - it had all the basics and was clean, so it was fine for a few nights stay.

Worked well for me. All I needed was a place to sleep for the night and it suited this purpose.

our room was very small, but the beds and bathroom looked clean. the make your own breakfast was actually very nice and saved us money on restaurants. pool area was also nice to have open till 11!

It was a high price for a truck stop type hotel. Would have been a $39 room in any other location. Very loud road noise. The guy in the room next door was laughing out loud at 3:30 Am First room I ever stayed in that wasn't carpeted, which was fine but the floors were very sticky. They had mad a few nice updates but it was still not a great place.

This was a great little place. When we saw the facility as we were approaching from the car, we almost turned around and went to a more "modern" hotel--that would have been a huge mistake. The hotel room was clean and it was cozy. The included breakfasts were also good. If we were visiting Madison again, we would definitely stay here. It was an incredible value.

On the plus side, the room was clean, the bed was pretty comfortable, the desk clerk was friendly, and the breakfast was actually outstanding. On the minus side, it's an older hotel and shows it's age, our room with 2 double beds was small and each bed was pushed up against a wall so the person on the inside would have to climb over the other person to get in or out of bed, the soundproofing was poor, and there was an odd odor in the parking lot when we arrived, I suspect having something to do with the old garbage dump next door. Many hotels, even in this price range, will give you essentials you may have forgotten, toothbrush, tampons, etc., here they'll sell them to you for a couple bucks each. On the other hand, they also have microwave food and ice cream treats for sale, which you don't find everywhere, and our room had a microwave in it, had we been hungry that would have worked out nice if a little on the expensive side. Check in and out were fast and easy, a feature I appreciate.

Was a nice hotel for your money and the breakfast served in the morning was wonderful never seen such a wonderful breakfast so many things to choose from.

This is very good. Evrything turn out to what I expected.

Resonable hotel for the price. Slightly hard to get to as you have to take a hidden frontage road. Staff was very helpful. Hot Breakfast was above average for hotels of htis price range. Rooms were small but clean. The rest of the hotel was clean. Walls were paper thin so you heard conversations of your neigbors on all sides.

The price wasn't bad but the place sure could use a little updating. The hallways smelled awful, like old B.O. and cigarettes. The room odor itself wasn't as bad. My husband and I thought the bed was pretty comfy. All we did was sleep there and leave for the day so there being nothing around didn't effect us but it would have been nice. And the surrounding area had a murder movie feel being out in the middle of nowhere. Also if you are over 5' 5" be prepared to stoop in the shower. Long story short I wish I had stayed somewhere else.

Good except that We tried change the reservation from one king size bed to 2double beds. We were told we hade to pay extra for this change!!,

I stayed 4 nights, the room was clean and made up promptly everyday. Breakfast bar was better than expected. Only gripe is weak wi-fi signal. Good value, would stay again.

If you need a place to simply sleep and are not too concerned about the amenities, this is a very economical place. Little hard to find the access road in the dark.

we enjoyed our stay and the value for the money. The breakfast had more choices than other places for the same money. room was small, but suited our needs.
