Upon arrival at my assigned room, and after trying several times to change the safe combination to secure my valuables, I call the front desk to request assistance... was told that the "owner" was the only person whom could have it done. Despite my extended stay, no one provided assistance with this matter. Another incident, as reported to the front desk, the TV set did not respond to the remote control commands, as result, every time I needed to turn on/off the unit... I had to do it manually! This issue was never resolved during my stay. Note: One desk drawer was filled with electronic items, included modem and cables, possibly removed and left behind. However, occupying space in a drawer I couldn't use to stow my personal items. Last, but not least, upon checking out, the person at the front desk did not provide a billing statement nor a receipt. She claimed that ORBITZ would provide it me!

It was ok. The first room looked as someone had already slept in the bed. There was food left in our refrigerator.

The room had hard wood flooring which did not help with noise from the adjoining rooms. You heard very noise. The breakfast was skimpy and not really worthy of being called "continental". The room and halls did not seem to be swept or vacuumed while we were there - the same things were on the floor everyday. The hall rugs were extremely stained and old looking. The bed was comfortable. Our blanket and comforter had drawings on them from someone's child. The heat seemed to be self-set on broil. We turned it down and it still came on and we roasted. The staff was unfriendly and difficult to find.

This time I did not have to change rooms due to mold. The room was clean, hallways still has dirty stained carpets, breakfast is questionable. Room did serve it's intended purpose, a nights stay. Recommend with full disclosure.

We had a great stay, the staff were nice and we recommend the hotel. Beds were super comfortable. Having said that, the hot items at breakfast were minimal and pre-packaged. There were also a couple of lamps as well as the door lock to our room that needed mechanical attentioni.

I found this hotel to be so so at best. I picked this place because of the pool. However, the heat wasn't on in the pool for the first two days because management doesn't keep it warm enough even though it was cool and drizzly outside (odd for August but true). The jacuzzi was also missing a control for the first two days. Also, I had to repeatedly ask to for towels to be put in the pool area. The hotel was less than half full with almost no kids there, there was no reason the pool should be running out of towels (I didn't see anyone else in the pool the whole time I was there). I got there and my bathroom was dirty, there was a hair in the shower and I hadn't been in it yet and the sink was not clean. The AC was loud and had a slight smell to it but worked ok though I didn't really need it much. The almost all of the TV channels came in fuzzy, one or two so bad I couldn't see them. Some of the staff were very nice, but one or two were downright surly when I was explaining what I needed. Lastly the breakfast bar was definitely lacking and not well kept. Honestly I didn't think it would be, but it was just one more thing. So is this place ok to sleep in? Sure if you have no where else to go, but for the number of hotels in the area, there are better places for less money.

Woke up. No Water. The whole town had no water so it wasn't the hotels fault. They offered no rebate for the inability to shower but maybe that is to come after awhile.

The entrance of he hotel was nice....that's all that was nice. Wall paper was peeling from the walls. Ceiling tiles were missing exposing wires. Carpet in the hall way was filthy. Wood shavings were everywhere. One room that I passed on the way to mine was open and completely dismantled. Paint buckets every where. This was the most horrible experience ever. I didn't even stay. I got a room a another hotel chain that I was familiar with. This was my first experience with his hotel and it will certainly be my last. If there were a negative star rating available I would definitely give that rating.

This was our first and most definitely our LAST stay at this Wingate and any other future ones. The staff upon arriving was less than cordial, as it was in checking out. Our room had hardwood floors that looked like they hadn't been swept at all, just nasty. My daughter even took pictures and the carpet outside of the room was the dirtiest carpet I have ever seen. Horrible! We decided to forgo the breakfast because it wasn't anything extra at all. Would I recoomend this or any other wingate? Absolutely and resounding NO!!!!!

Checked in to this hotel, got to our room and for 2 of us traveling found 1 king bed (like we asked for) and one club chair and ottoman, along with one standard desk chair and one dining room type chair. Went to the desk and asked about a room with 2 club chairs or a love seat. I was told all the rooms were the same. Then found out the spa was not in working order, the pool was very cold with all kinds of dirt on the bottom. Took a closer look at the room and found that while it was neat and picked up it was not what I would call clean. The carpet was moldy by the bath room door and there were some very strange hand prints on the bed head board. Found that the bed pillows were also a small 14 x 14 size, asked at the desk if they had any standard size pillows and was told no. At this point I explained to the desk clerk that If I had not pre-paid for the room I would be leaving in the morning. In the morning I spoke to the day desk clerk and explained these items to her. She them offered to call and get me refund. I took her up on the offer. She was great the best part of this hotel stay. During my conversation with the desk clerk the owner came in just walked by and ignored us. I would stay away from this hotel. There are lots of other choices.

Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff. Breakfast was not impressive. There was something that looked like an "egg pattie?" and tiny sausage links. Cereal, yogurt and muffins were okay. They should say they offer continental breakfast, not breakfast. Would stay here again but go somewhere else for breakfast.

Great trip. Simply put; would stay there every time we return.

Our favorite part of the hotel was the nice warm pool and hot tub. We were driving through and needed a place to stop with the family for the night. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was not good at all though - served oranges that were very bitter and the warm breakfast was premade round egg thing and some sort of flimsy bacon shaped ham product.

Hotel was just as advertised - large clean room with free hot breakfast and heated indoor pool. Breakfast staffr was super fast to restock after a rush. Will definitely use this hotel again!

The hotel was very clean and had a wonderful bed. Best sleep I've had in ages. The breakfast in the morning had a great deal of items to choose from. The free Wi-FI was very easy to use and worked all the time. They also had two computers to use in the business center which helped a lot.

I visited other hotels and this is by far the best experience in all 30 years of my life. I definitely WILL book ALL my business stays at this very location. Thank the service of those amazing ladies, great job, hope to see you again soon. :)

Kudos to the cook . It was great to start the day with a fantastic breakfast. She really made the stay extra special.

Good thing was it was clean. Beds are too hard to get a good nights sleep and the pillows were so soft that they fluffed down to nothing-no support for your head and neck even though my wife and I used 2 a piece. We decided that next trip we will bypass this chain and try another instead.

We had pre-booked the room and asked for late night arrival. We got to the hotel around 8:30 pm. My husband went in to get registered, and the key was handed to him immediately. No waiting at all. Breakfast hours started at 6 am. We were down there right at 6 am and found everything up and ready for us. The hotel was quiet and the room was clean. Excellent visit.

My stay at the Wingate was very good. My room was very clean and the staff was very nice.
