The hotel is old, the furniture is old but surprisingly enough it wasn't dirty. The room looked fairly clean when I walked in, It had a working refrig and micro. I cleaned everything down with disinfectant wipes and brought my own pillow. The wifi didn't work with my computer and the ice machine broke the last day that I was there. Don't look for a good swim, no water in the pool. I was just there to sleep and I got the rest I needed,

Gross walked in then immediately booked another hotel stinks like smoke. I would not take off my shoes in a place like that. There are plenty of other hotels in the area for a similar price the front desk woman was nice but the hotel was not

For starters, the room stinks, big time. Smells like mold. The bathroom was so filthy that I didn't want to take a shower, let alone put my two-year-old in it. The walls, doors, and counters are covered with crud and there is dust on the baseboards. I'm going to have to go to the dollar store and clean this room myself because I can't deal with this for another day (left my home town for a hurricane evacuation and didn't have time to be picky), to top it off, this is no 'best value.' They charged me $144 for a disgusting room that I have to clean myself. This needs to be remodeled. The lampshades are torn and the bathroom has numerous cracks. The carpet hasn't seen a vacuum cleaner in a while. Basically, nothing good about this room at all. Skip this one. Keep traveling west if there is nothing else in WR. If there is any possible way I can home tomorrow, I Will do so and cut my losses.

During the evacuation we went here for a room , the staff were rude, there was blood on the sink with green mold on the wash cloth and, doodo stains every where looks like a war. please do not stay here. urine on the bed ans so much nasty stuff stay away people.....

The current evacuation of all SC coastal areas in fear of Hurricane Matthew has been a boon for hotels more inland. We planned to leave our home on Hilton Head Island for Augusta , GA, but all hotels taking pets were full, so we went further, to Macon, GA. This was the only reservation we could get. We could have driven to Atlanta, but we were tired, after a 5 hour, stressful, drive from the lowcountry, so we stayed the first night of a reserved stay of 3. Well...let me tell you: the cat loved the room. He enjoyed batting around the dirty Kleenex which he found on the floor by the bed with the beer tab and candy wrapper. 2 lamps had no bulbs, the curtain rod wouldn't let us open the curtains, 2 lamps lacked shades, there were bugs (dead) in the bureau, one of the bureau drawers was falling off, and there is no way I would use the bathtub. Also, the carpet was so bad, we should have used shoes. The "non-smoking" room had ashes on a chair and cigarette burns on everything. After spending hours online last nite, we were able to book another hotel for the last 2 nites. Ordinarily we would stay, not wanting the hassle of moving, but this was too much. Oh, yes, no coffee in the lobby in am. No food, either, tho my husband said he wouldn't eat it anyway. Good stuff about the hotel: free Macon newspaper; cable tv which worked; let us check in early; refunded two nites without a hassle; and let us have an hour late checkout. Other cons: owner(?) didn't have good English skills and didn't seem to understand the computer. Check in took a very long time. But, he was pleasant.

RM 115 Nasty Nasty Nasty. Asked for clean pillow case attendant said he don't have any and don't know what to do. Pull covers bk to examine 2nd bed it was even more nasty. These people are not cleaning these rooms nor beds. Don't go here unless u plan to take something home u don't want.

OMG!!!! Never stay here! The rooms are awful and they stink! The floors are uneven! The bathroom looked as if someone went mudding! Lightbulbs were out! The door did not lock properly! The lady at the counter was completely unprofessional in a stripper type manner!! I can not believe this establishment is even operating!

Front area felt bare & attendant spoke such bad English I could hardly understand him. Then, to top it off, we waited about 20 min while he fumbled my email receipt around, trying to find my reservation, which I made directly thru AmBestValueInn over a month before. No explanation from him...just fumbling. Finally got us a room...kinda wish he hadn't. Outside our room there was trash & cigarette butts on the grass.Room was dingy, trash behind doors, only 1/2 roll of TP (not even on the roller), 1 small packet of shampoo for a double room, no tissues & it just goes on. The most disturbing was the group of 6 - 8 young men hanging out in the parking lot. Their jinxed out cars were not in room parking but beside a blank brick wall next to our room wing. As we were 2 women staying alone we did not leave to go get dinner but stayed locked in our room. Don't stay here..good price or not.

As you walk in the lobby you get an strange feeling. Then there is a man that speaks very bad English. The rooms were terrible. We had two rooms and the smell was terrible. The furniture was almost broken, there was mould on the airconditioning and the toilet, no words for it. We stayed there for 15 min and booked an other hotel. One positive thing, we got our money back.

Though I was in an emergent situation and the price was right, the room was the worst ever. The sheets were dirty, blood spots, not washed ones either, food, cigarette butts, and hair were on the sheets. The floor behind the door had food, a shower head, and more cigarette butts. The bathroom... Pee still in the toilet, no toilet paper, dirty towels. The shower water control didn't work right, the shower head was so low I had to squat to rinse my hair and I am only 5 ft 5 in tall. Dresser falling apart, ashes all over the nightstand. The phone didn't work. The tv worked though. I had to have something cheap, quick, and pet friendly, it fit the bill. Unfortunately it was so disgusting I should have paid a little more and gone down the road.
