This is my 3rd stay at the Emperor in 3 months. I Always look forward to staying here, because it kind of feels like home now when I come to Macau for Business. I am always treated very well and in a very friendly manner. If there is availability, I usually get a room upgrade. The rooms are Very Spacious, clean and quiet. Looking forward to my next stay later on this month.
Visiting Macau for business. Great reasonably priced hotel and comfy hotel within a 3 minute walk from the office. Excellent location. Tons of places to eat. Clean, safe and good for walking around with parks and walking paths. Be sure to have the address/hotel card in Chinese for the Taxi Driver, as they do not really recognize the English.
One thing we did not like and complain for that was deposit. We booked online and paid by credit card, we did not understand why we need put only Macau dollar 500.00 for deposit. Even US dollars doesn't work over there. Are you doing the int'l business?
I liked the location, and the men's spa is legendary, so I'm glad I checked it out, but on the whole, in-room wifi needs an upgrade. I was okay with my stay, but might opt for a worse location and a slightly nicer place next time.
the hotle's location is great.near the center part of the city.except this others is good.the room is not very big.just ok
Staff very polite and willing to assist. Close to everything.
Came to Macau to play poker mostly. So this hotel is very convenient to the two downtown hotels that have poker. (Star and Wynn) Everything was fine except I came at 4pm and I still had to wait an hour for them to make up a room. And it's a Chinese standard hard hard bed.
Opposite from StarWorld with the free shuttles to Galaxy/Cotai, and walkable to everywhere on Macau side itself, this hotel's location can't be beat. Rooms are reasonable and staff courteous too.
Room was well presented and clean. This was an executive room and met my expectations for a **** hotel. This is very much a Chinese hotel. English when spoken was rudimentary, service was generally poor. The Executive Lounge was a joke, really it was just some lounge chairs and a cup of tea, may as well stay in the room. Breakfast was very poor. Would I stay there again, no!
The hotel was chosen for its location which was good. The breakfast, not included in the room cost, was mediocre at best. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked but the rugs were tired and stained. The hotel is undergoing renovation and that may deal with the slightly musty smell in the hallways and room tiredness. There was mold around the tub and bath mat but otherwise the bathroom was clean. This was an average budget hotel that has had at least one extra star added for some unknown reason.
Close to nearby casinos. A small grocery store across the street and a 7-11 around the corner. Two minor complaints : Hotel room floor is stained and worn. center console nightstand has elevator music pumping out at low volume and you can't turn it on or off. The amenities and location make this a place I would come back to.
We booked a suite, which is the price of 2 regular rooms. Turns out that a suite is just a room, with an even smaller room attached. When we asked to change this suite (priced at 2 regular rooms) to 2 regular rooms, they said cancelations and refunds are not allowed. Also, despite the No Smoking signs, the room smells like cigarette smoke, so bad that I woke up the next day with clothes smelling like cigarettes. The concierge doesn't know where anything (including the front door) is. He just smiles and nods at everything. I guess that's a sign of friendliness.
this is my second time to select it. the location is good, only 5 minutes to go to main street, there are many shops and restaurants nearby.
Generally average. They don't speak English. They are not prepared to give you any information about Macau. They don't even speak the National language from Portugal. Communication is a problem.
Just went to the casinos. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that they didn't have a restaurant and the glass walls for the bathrooms. We were two guys traveling and it was a little uncomfortable. They did have a curtain to pull down but you could still see through it.
Rooms, especially the bath, are too small for Americans; impossible to get a taxi from entrance;duplicitous front desk staff; check out took forever;hotel just seems overwhelmed with too many guests and too little trained staff.
The staff was rude & barely able to communicate in any language except Cantonese. Jackhammers pounded all day long & on the day we left the water was cut off for 6 hours. Had a horrible experience getting a small load of laundry done $77 USD charge!!! All in all this was a lousy hotel - one of the worst!
Room and the hallways are a bit smelly. If you want to take tub bath makes sure you start filling it up half hour before as the water flow is real low. Although the staff is friendly you must have patience to get your questions understood. The continental food served on the so-called executive louge is just so-so.
The hotel was very nice and served it's purpose. Nice, quite, very comfortable bed, and friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was chosen based upon it's relative location to MGM and Wynn. Casino shuttle buses are available to take you to many places. You can walk to MGM and Wynn, but to see the Venetian, you need to take a Wynn shuttle to the ferry port, and then board a shuttle to the Venetian. That is basically how you can get to many places, use the casino no charge buses, to go from the ferry port to the casino you would like to visit. This hotel is a very good value, when you consider MGM and Wynn are charging 4 times that amount for a bed.
Location is great.
