wanting the charm of a European style Tudor house, with views of the mountains and privacy.. From the front yard sweeping views of the mountains, while the back yard is set in total privacy, with lush lawn...
The back yard has a pool and spa with limestone patios, chase lounge chairs for sunning and outdoor dining set for afternoon meals..

The home still has the charm of original molding while updated furnishing, kitchen and en suite bathrooms in each bedroom... Den has French doors leading to outside dining and the pool area...
Kitchen recently remodeled, along with bathrooms and library/ den recently updated and added new furniture making it a wonderful place to watch tv or read.
Off the kitchen is a round room for morning breakfast, and on the other side of the kitchen is the formal dining room.

A True Hollywood Star

What an amazing home. I stayed for a long weekend over the memorial holiday, and absolutely loved it!! Keith was a great host, met and welcomed me, showed my around, talked about the house, and had a really enjoyable conversation. The home is gorgeous and the location is one of the best when visiting Hollywood. Comfortable bedding,, clean, nicely decorated, amazing rooms to enjoy family and friends, and the kitchen is first class. And those are not the best parts...the pool area is the homes center point. Outdoor Bar, BBQ, dining area, patio furniture, well maintained pool, very private, and the greenery/flowers welcomed you with amazing floral smells. One of the best homes I've stayed in LA area and would rent again in a heart beat. Highly recommended from frequent VRBO customer.

Weird

Property manager/owner went by a fake name, asked me religious questions when seeing that my wife wears a hijab and overall was just odd. After previously stating that we could drop off our luggage at 12, I did just that and informed him that we would drop off and leave. He insisted that we stayed and didn't have to leave and return at 4 (the check in time). After the visit, he did not refund all of the maintenance depot citing our early arrival as the reason. I have been to many vrbo homes, and this, by far, was the worst experience I have had. Home was nice and in an ok location.

West Hollywood Gem!

Beautifully decorated, spacious home with all the amenities. Perfect for a long overdue visit with our son and a couple of friends in LA. Master bed and bath were lovely with plush towels and plenty of bath products, beds were comfy, kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed. The outdoor pool area was exactly as pictured with comfy lounge chairs and umbrella, pool floats, shaded grass area, large outdoor table and BBQ. We spent most of our time enjoying this beautiful outdoor oasis. Nest central air kept the home cool and comfortable on a toasty weekend of 100+ temperatures. Keith greeted us warmly and provided all the details needed to enjoy our stay. Keith takes great pride in his home and has furnished and decorated it with beautiful treasures. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay! We hope to visit again soon.

Beautiful oasis in the heart of Hollywood. The pictures don’t do it justice.

I stayed in Hal’s beautiful home with four other friends and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The pool and hot tub were the central features that attracted us to this property, but the location, amenities and comfortable beds proved to be just as pleasing. The home itself is huge, we didn’t even sit in the front room or dining room, but we spent most of our time outside. Clean, well appointed and full of character I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Hal was welcoming and warm and proved to be a delightful host - thank you Hal for making us so comfortable and giving us great memories!

Old, filthy and terrible owner

After I checked in with my family, we noticed an abundance of dog hair in all of the rooms. Hal, the owner, told us we couldn't walk around in our shoes. We soon noticed our feet were black. I called Hal to complain that the house was not clean. Hal blamed his cleaning company and then he came back and attempted to clean the house himself. His cleaning job wasn't that good as we still found dog hair and even a dead roach. If you stay here, you must understand that Hal's personal belongings are everywhere. You will find his shoes as you go to the backyard and several other shoes piled up on the dryer. We were in the middle of an LA heat wave and the AC shut down. The house is so old and not well taken care of that you cannot open most of the windows. We asked Hal to get the AC fixed and he told me he was in meetings and couldn't help. He wouldn't even hire a technician to come out and take a look at the issue. We had to go to CVS and buy fans to make it tolerable, and the next day we fixed the AC ourselves. The TV in the "theater room" is something you would see in 1991. There are multiple steps to turn it on and you have to point the remote to the cable box which sits in a dirty, dusty closet away from the TV. The house has a unique decor and the pictures show that as well. But for whatever reason two of the bathrooms do not have doors. There are statues everywhere and a large picture frame on the floor covering up a wall. When Hal was in the house "cleaning," he noticed we had an air mattress set up for one of the kids. Hal would later tell me bringing in a mattress is against the rules. Understand that Hal invents rules, it's almost a reflex for him. Hal's ad clearly says checkout is at 11am. But that didn't stop him from paying us a visit at 10am, complaining that we were still in the house. He told us checkout was at 9:30am. When I showed Hal that his own ad said 11am, he had no response. If you want good news, I will say the pool is outstanding and the location is great. I tried resolving my issues with the owner after the stay, but he would complain that the backyard furniture was rearranged and we left bottle caps in the backyard. The truth is I have photos and video to prove we left the house as we found it. Hal shouldn't be renting his house or any other properties to people. His conduct and how he maintains the place is not worthy anywhere near the price.
