Miyako Hotel Los Angeles

Short stay but check in lady was very friendly and room was very clean. A number of close restaurants nearby you can walk to. Would return next time I need to be in LA.

If you want to explore LA's Little Tokyo, Arts District, or be a short walk from the Music Center, this hotel is perfect. Staff was very helpful, room was pretty typical (the bidet was cool; not something in most US hotels). The pillows were poor, even by hotel standards, and while the room was billed as non-smoking, other rooms obviously were not, as the hallway wreaked of smoke.

We booked this hotel as a base for our evening at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. With many Japanese eating options nearby, the Miysko is a great place from which to explore this fascinating neighborhood.

Very good location. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable.

The hotel staff were welcoming. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. Check-In was easy and there was no wait. The room itself included the basic amenities (fridge, iron, hair dryer, etc.).

Close to cathedral, central market, LA mall, little Tokyo and of course, lots of very good restaurants, sushi and boba tea! Even rodeo drive is only 30 minutes away without freeway driving.

I love this hotel very much. This location is inside of Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. I will come back to use this hotel.

We loved staying at Miyako because it was convenient. The hotel is located at little Tokyo, downtown L. A. You can find many restaurants in a walking distance.

So, we checked in a little after 3pm which stated we were guaranteed late arrive time check in. Okay so 2 minutes while checking in the front clerk told me it would be an additional 10 more minutes because they needed to check my room - I said 'ok Within 5 mins of waiting a group of 3 came in checked in 2 and boom! givin there keys and where heading into there room while I waited....uhh what the heck? I went up to the same clerk and asked him how much longer it would be since the group in from of me were in and out. He said told me okay "oh okay it's Ready now" ?? without radioing anyone, I feel like he didn't like me or whatever but that was so inconvenient to have to wait when no one was even in the lobby. Lame front desk clerk for a hotel like this.

Very clean and comfortable room. Bell desk clerk was very helpful. Quick check in. Excellent area. Love this place

The Miyako Hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect, since I was in Los Angeles for business -- to participate in the Mixed Remixed Festival taking place at the Japanese American National Museum a block away. To unwind from my flight from New York, I booked a shiatsu massage in the hotel spa. The spa itself was luxurious -- the best I've ever experienced, at a very reasonable price. And the massage itself was delightful. I had a standard double room that had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in other than my own at home. Everything was clean and orderly. A leak was found in the Japanese-bidet toilet and it was attended to immediately. I cannot speak more highly of the staff -- from the receptionists, to the maid service, to the valet who parked the car, to the plumber who repaired the bidet-toilet. The recommendations we were given for places to eat in Little Tokyo were spot-on. Even food offered in the small lobby cafe, which served both Western and Japanese small meals and snacks, was varied and good.

Great location for Asian food. Multiple excellent eateries. Hotel clean, comfortable, business traveler feel.

The hotel was in a nice location, easy access to several restaurants and walking distance or quick taxi ride to several points of interest. The rooms were clean and comfortable for what I needed them for which was to sleep and shower. Unfortunately the AC system in my room was broken so the temps were a little on the high side during my stay. The noise from the night karaoke can be a little loud at times so they may want to look at soundproofing their club area more. I would definitely come back to the hotel if I needed another place to stay for visiting places nearby, but it would not be my first choice if I was planning on taking more advantage of hotel amenities during my stay.

The hotel has an excellent location , few miles to city hall , locate at little Tokyo , people friendly . Few miles to Hollywood .

The location was ideal for going to the Grammys. Hotel very clean. Needs more restaurants

Very pleasant place to stay. I would recommend it. Hotel staff very helpful.

My stay was excellent and the staff were really helpful. As I was leaving my room one morning, one of the housekeeping staff noticed that my door did not shut and lock. She than had maintainance fix it immediately. My iron was also damaged by a previous guest and a new iron was sent to my room right away. The only issue with my stay was there was no clear designated smoking area and I was charged $35 for a 20 minute phone call (I had to make to call late at night and there was no clear pricing information.)

It's in Japan town so if you like sushi you're set. The rooms are small and meagerly appointed. No views. Nice staff and we got very good massages

It was so comfortable staying in the hotel.would have been better if it were a suite- type of room then it would be perfect. The hotel was close to most of all LA downtown attractions.
