A couple things about this hotel: it’s centrally located right near Little Tokyo so lots of dining and shopping, but it’s noisy. I believe it’s located next to LAPD dispatch so we heard a lot of police sirens and there was a helicopter hovering for a good part of the night - fortunately, early night so it didn’t disturb our sleep. Also, we had a problem with our door getting jammed. I thought we had a faulty key card, but the door is just old we so had to lift it a certain way to get it to open. This was not made aware to us until after the jammed situation. Otherwise a straight forward stay.

Parking cost is ridiculous. I enjoyed the room and the surrounding area.

Strike on the hotel which were super noisy and hard to sleep. They started at 5am which me and my family weren’t able to sleep well especially my young kids. It’s old place which can easily hear all kinds of noise although we’re in level 18. Property is old and not that great which it is not worth $200 a night. Parking cost $50 each night which sucks.

Close to little Tokyo shopping. Safe and clean.

This was our second stay at this property. The first time was flawless. This time the room had a missing closet knob, dirty curtains, and a bag of drugs under the bed skirt. We paid for self parking and when we left and came back, the lot was full. The valet was kind enough to park our car for us, but I don’t like valet parking. Overall, I was really disappointed.

A

This is not a 4 star … it is more like a 2 old star … the room had some many nasty cracks , mold and bad details . Also hotel was not able to provide a rollout bed as the Orbitz website described .

Tough stay. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30 PM after a long flight from the East Coast, hoping to get a quick lunch and a nap before an event on Friday night. The restaurant was already closed at 1:35, and the lobby store’s premade food is exactly like airport food, so we took a 15 minute walk to Little Tokyo to get something fresh. Upon our return, our room was 78°, but we lowered the AC, took showers to cool off, and tried to nap. When we woke up our room was 82°, and apparently the AC was out in the entire building, so we weren’t exactly looking fresh heading out to dinner. AC was thankfully repaired and beginning to kick in by the time we returned at 11 PM, but our fifth floor room on the street side of the hotel was LOUD. All night long there were ambulances and police cars running their sirens, both nights of our stay. Additionally, the hotel was sold out for the weekend with weddings and a college event, and there are only four elevators, so a 15 minute wait was not uncommon. The hotel itself was clean and pretty, but there are probably better choices in the area.

The staff was fantastic. The location of the hotel is not the best

Mai Nou, we regret to hear that external noises affected your rest, and apologize for any discomfort pertaining to the structure of the property itself. Our goal is to provide a serene experience, irrespective of the building's vintage character. We understand your remarks about pricing as well. Despite this experience, we hope for a chance to better serve you in the future.
