Amazing location, beautiful building, very clean rooms, everything you need for a night or even a couple of nights. Check-in and -out was easy and the staff is very friendly. We booked the night before online on their website without any issues. Comfy beds, there is a complimentary bottle of water in the room and L'Occitane toiletries. Further, the price for a nice stay in this location especially on New Years is great. Definitely recommended.
Staff we’re really accommodating when we made a off the street booking. Ideal location for visit to the museums, and plenty of places to eat on the Kings road, and shopping, well you girls will be very happy.
Excellent location for our appointment at the Brompton Hospital (just around the corner), also for a quick afternoon visit to the V & A. The bedroom was smallish but this was more than compensated for by the cleanliness, extremely comfortable bed and quality bedlinen. I travel quite frequently and I have not encountered better service anywhere. My sister and I are both coeliacs and must eat a strictly gluten free diet. The lovely young lady who cooked our breakfast was most accommodating. We'd certainly return.
Always happy to come back, charming welcome by people we have pleasure to see each of our passages! The place is beautifully located. The surroundings are populated with good restaurants, shops even if we are in a residential area! Very pleasant!
We had not been back to Sydney House in 20 years and were looking forward to the same high quality experience. We were totally satisfied this time again. The rooms are large and the service there on a 24 hour basis even though you feel part of a small Hotel experience. The breakfast is outstanding. Highly recommended.
Clean rooms, great shower, polite and friendly staff. The hotel is situated on Sydney Street near the traffic lights at the Fulham Road en, I thought that this might have been a problem, however the rooms are so well glazed, both with blinds and blackout which enables a good nights sleep. Definitely will return value for money
We used to have our own home in Chelsea but now visit London regularly and the Sydney House is in our opinion the next best option to having our own home in the Capital. As it is not possible to dine at the Sydney House Hotel, It would be helpful for visitors who do not know the area to provide a list of good restaurants within walking distance.
We stayed on 3 separate occasions during our recent 3 week stay in UK. We chose to return after staying here in previous years. Location is perfect as our daughter lives in Chelsea. Beautiful area with lovely shops and cafes. Many tourist sites are within walking distance and a walk across the bridge to Battersea Park is always a great way to start a day. Rooms are small yet all you need as we’re never in the room long enough for it to worry us. We have stayed in all the different suites they have on offer. Rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable beds. As long as the tariff remains reasonable we will most definitely stay again. The location is perfect.
I'm a regular at Sydney House. I come rarely to London but my dates are chosen according to the availability of the roof-terrace room at the Hotel. The city in winter is never easy, but your staff - and particularly the masterful Julia - iron out the wrinkles. An improvement could be made to the Wi-Fi connection, which requires reopening if the usage is abandoned for a minute or two. Love the location and the views from the roof-terrace. The water is always beautifully piping-hot. In the 1970's, I lived 5 years just 1/2-dozen blocks away. Sydney House isn't "home", but it's the next best thing. Till next time.
Weird smell throughout the whole hotel especially in bathroom. Dressing gowns provided but no slippers. Breakfast was cold and not described as served. This a 5 star hotel giving a 2 star service. The hotel gas a great location and the top floor room has a great view, the bed was comfortable. Not a great experience.
