Stayed at Lancaster Gate for 5 nights. Overall, nice accommodations, but very tiny room with extremely tiny bathroom. If you are someone that has some weight on you, you may rethink staying there. Good customer service. Clean. Close to Paddington Station, but far from the main attractions. Pay the extra money and stay closer. I wish I had. Thought it was expensive for what you got. Maybe it's just London.
The service was excellent, The location was good, near Paddington station and near Hyde park. Brakefast was good, and we enjoyed a very good visit to London. On our last night in the hotel there was a scukpture of two swans from towels. Great.
Our stay at Park Grand Lancaster Gate was amazing, from the warm friendly greeting when we checked in served with a refreshing drink, to the beautiful room, helpful and attentive staff and delicious cooked to order breakfast. the location whilst on a nice quiet road and peaceful at night is also right on the doorstep of the west end.
OK so we had the benefit of a Wowcher voucher, which made our visit even more amazing, but at any price this would have still been probably the best Afternoon Tea experience that both my partner and I have ever enjoyed. So many superlatives: the friendly welcome with damp towel to freshen your hands, the attentiveness and generosity of all the staff to your every need, the bottle of chilled Prosecco included in the staggeringly low price, and of course the food itself which was excellence indeed from the bottom to the top of the serving stand. Overall, a fantastic meal in a lovely venue at a great price. We can't wait to return.
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights whilst attending the Radio 2 Festival in a day. Hotel is very nicely situated for many attractions in London. We had a Club Room, although quite small everything was clean and well equipped. When we arrived we were greeted with hot towels and complimentary juice. It was also a belated birthday trip, so it was lovely to receive a surprise in our room ... Balloons, gorgeous chocolate cake, a small bottle of Prosecco and red wine. Breakfast was either continenal or full English and we experienced both. The cooked breakfast was well presented, perfectly cooked and delicious. Continental breakfast had a good choice of cereals, fruit, pastries, yogurt, cheese, cold meats and various breads. The afternoon tea seemed very popular and looked lovely. The reception staff offered fantastic customer service and all staff were friendly and polite. We will definitely be returning.
Was a great hotel to stay in! I was there for two nights and the staff were all so lovely and helpful. The room was nice and had enough space. There was an iron and board which was great for my wrinkled clothes in my suitcase. They also provided a special phone which has data access that was very handy. It's in a great location - a short walk to Paddington station (and underground) as well as to Lancaster Gate underground. It's also a short stroll to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. I'd definitely come back (and also try their afternoon tea as it looked good!)
Had a wonderful couple of hours here enjoying a delicious afternoon tea. The food was lovely, including a selection of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, a variety of cakes and a jelly pot each. This was all washed down with a very chilled bottle of prosecco. As it was a gift for our wedding anniversary they decorated a plate with "congratulations" on which was a nice touch. Then the ice cream cane out ! It was a lovely experience and my husband was surprised just how filling an afternoon team can be!
a delightful afternoon from the welcome with a chilled towel a glass of pink champagne and the choice of tea or coffee with lovely selection of sandwiches with flavoured bread, chocolate scones and selection of cakse a truly delightful afternoon tea in lovely restaurant.
A very memorable evening indeed. Staff very friendly and atmosphere very relaxing. Best ever experience, definitely will visit Park Grand Lancaster Gate again. Together with friends, we will spread the word around about the place. We did not want to leave and we did not at all feel rushed.
As a birthday present I was given a chocolate afternoon tea. The sandwiches and chocolate desserts were lovely, really tasty and beautifully placed. It was a very relaxed and chilled environment. The waiters were attentive and looked after us.
