The room was very clean and quite spacious. But the doors have code locks that beep when you press the button. So with 3 very close doors to other rooms every time I was about to fall asleep another door was opened. The bathroom was behind my head and again every time the toilet was flushed, the tap turned on, I heard it through the thin walls. Also didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo female guest in the accommodation.

I booked this hotel for a business trip not realising that it was essentially like a youth hostel and had shared bathrooms. I was totally unprepared. The things I didn’t expect were that there was no reception and so no iron facilities, no glass in the bedroom so I could not get a glass of water and no bathroom in the bedroom. I also had not expected such a small and basic room and such a hard bed. However on reflection, if I was looking for somewhere on a tight budget and I knew about the bathroom situation then this place is ok... the rooms and bathrooms are clean, there is WiFi and the rooms are secure. The bedding is clean and there is a small hanging rail for clothes. So if you are looking for a very basic and very budget place, this could be ok

The Monopoly Accommodations is located right in center of London. If you enjoy walking than you have many beautiful attractions within walking distance. You must plan to see SkyGarden, Tower bridge, London Bridge etc and just walk around to enjoy the beautifully architected structures. If you prefer public transport, than Liverpool Street, Aldgate East and Aldgate Tube station are within 5-7 min walking distance. Street food is available in the afternoon right in front of hotel and there are many food options within 5-7 min walking distance. Only challenge is that, the bathroom, toilet and breakfast breakout area is shared.

Stayed here for one night and for us it was ideal. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was quite small, but it was clean and adequate for us. There were two shared bathrooms both of which were modern and scrupulously clean (shower only no bath). Really liked the communal kitchen, rather than the normal ‘kettle in the room’ option normally favoured by hotels/ guest houses. Choice are cereals and bread for breakfast which was fine for us but if you prefer a more fruit based breakfast or a fry up you may want to bring your own, there is a good sized fridge in the kitchen. Location is fab, Petticoat Lane Market is right outside (Sunday) for site seeing both walking and tube and I would definitely stay here again

Chosen as right around the corner from a two day training course in the city. Comfortable, clean, spacious, with a desk in the room and wifi. Bathrooms were clean and kitchen available with all amenities required if you wanted to use it.Great for a solo business traveler.

We stayed here for four nights. It surprised me at first how small the whole hotel was. Bedroom is separated and we got a password to open it. Kitchen and bathroom are shared. The kitchen is very small, with four sitting places. Breakfast is not served, you need to take bread, butter, coffee, tea by yourself. After you finish your breakfast, you need to wash your dishes by yourself. There are only three bathrooms and you need to wait to go to toilet in the morning a little bit. Our room no.35 was directly in the kitchen so we could hear when somebody louder is making breakfast. First day when we came to hotel our flight was late so we came around 1:30 in the night. We needed to pay a special £30 late check in fee. Everything was very clean and every morning there were new suplies of food in the fridge and in the kitchen breakfast closet. We had nice time there, but I think it is a bit expensive for what you get. We payed around £75 per night.

Stayed here in monopoly accommodation for 4 nights with my girlfriend and it was very comfortable. We enjoyed the area because it’s very close to the city center and all the public transport are close! Bathrooms and kitchen were clean and tidy! WiFi works good! It’s just a little hard to find the mIn door the first time but not a real problem!

I stayed here for one night early December. I booked a double room without an ensuite bathroom. It was the first time I'd done that. I was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was right next door and there was some noise from the fan and people coming and going, but my room was large, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean too. I booked here because of the location...just 4/5 mins walk from the reason I was in London and from Liverpool street station. It was great and a good price. I'd stay here again.

Checked into this accommodation for 3 nights being near to Liverpool St Train station and BPS, Tabernacle St. Room 36 is on top floor with own ensuite. There is kitchenette n Laundry downstairs. Well equipped. Very friendly onsite Manager, Francesco. Good wifi, narrow stairs, no lifts, and double bed size only. The room is clean n spacious by London standards. Near Spitalfields markets. Great value for quid.

I was put in a different building round the corner "the new building" but it looked to be a costly related building accessed through a gated alleyway that has had a cheap refurb. The bed was right up against window leading to cold draft all night across the bed. The window itself wouldn't close properly or lock sure to the window being the wrong size and based on lock marks is not a new issue. The room was small and clean as expected, the tv small but functional the bed a small-double 4' rather than a full sized 4'6 double. The need itself is worn out with one side having a hollow you fall into. The walls and doors are paper thin and you can here everyone moving around in the kitchen and bedroom next door, every entry and exit using digital (beep key press locks). There were two bathrooms, one on each of the top two floors (out of 4 floors). Both bathrooms were clean and well appointed if basic. no basic soap in the showers for use, although small complimentary items are left in the bedroom with the towels. However the upstairs shower temperature adjustment is from super-hot to scalding and therefore unusable. The first night a movie was being filmed in the road out with lights and crew making noise until midnight. no apology from the manager just a slight reference at check in. He certainly didn't tell me times of filming or ask if it was going to be a problem. Later the first night the firealarm then went off at 5am because a mother and child was cooking breakfast in their room... They had a microwave and grill/toaster in their room, that's not someone staying in a hotel. No contact or apology from the owner/manager. On the second night a check in happened noisily at midnight with them talking, not in the room in hushed tones but, at normal volume in the hall outside my room. Considering they know the doors are paper thin, you'd think they'd ask people to be quiet... Then he went on to have a telephone call at midnight which fire to the thin walls I could hear every word as if I was in the same room. Finally, I strongly suspect that this is a building being used as both an house of multiple accommodation AND serviced accommodation. This is a recipe for disaster. Serviced accommodation pay much more per night and expect a different service standard than HMO tenants yet end up having the HMO people using it as their home, as you'd expect, with all the habits that entails.
