The hotel is cheap, but filthy and worn down. Found nails on the floor, stains on the walls around the bed and sticky stuff in the curtains. No dishwasher in the kitchen. The woman who clared the tables after breakfast washed up by hands, wich you could see on the dirty coffecups they gave you in the morning.
This is the worst hotel I have been to in my life. It is so dirty and the room was filled with flies. When I asked to cancel my booking, the staff lied to me. They said they will only take a one night fees and refund the rest; which they never did. They ripped me off.
Stayed here for two nights recently with hubby as we were in London for a concert but if anywhere else was available we would have changed hotels. Stayed in a double room with ensuite. Rooms are tiny and not the cleanest. walls could have been doing with being cleaned/painted as one had specs of blood on! Our room was right next to the breakfast area and shared toilet so no chance of a lie in, you can hear everything! The rating I've given is for the air conditioning which was the only decent thing about it
Small hotel, no lift, but a wounderful welcoming and very friendly service. Very clean. Very good quality/price rate for an hotel in London. Perfect location, close to Underground and Bus stops. Quiet street.
Got moved to this hotel after expedia messed up our original booking 5 mins walk from Wembley stadium for adele concert arrived 1am in the morning. I would have walked straight back out if it wasn't 1am after paying 60 for a taxi and had no where to go as we had a train booked for 13.06 the next day to get us back to torquay lucky for us a very nice man let us get a early train at no extra cost Staff nice and friendly the room was something else. Sorry wouldn't put my dog in it no curtains no light switches had to keep light on all night to charge phones. Told it was 5 star wouldn't give it 1. Told we had full English breakfast mmmnm that was con tinental serve yourself. No thanks
Stayed here three nights. Room was tiny and a bit ramshackle, but fairly clean. Was just looking for a decent bed and a non-shared toilet in central London, and this place served its purpose. Two blocks from Earl's Court tube station. Decent continental breakfast selection, including meat, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, etc. Would not pay more than £50-60. No real complaints.
This is a good example of what is too good to be true is not. We booked this hotel on lastminute.com very cheap for a hotel in Earl's Court, and were utterly disappointed and disgusted to be honest. Small, crammed rooms, our room was dirty, old and had teared furniture, we found pubic hair, and dust everywhere. You could hear everything happening in rooms nearby. No words to describe our experience here. We had to run away at 11 pm after 1 hour in the room. Receptionist didn't know anything and wasn't very helpful.
we returned yesterday from 3 nights here over bank holiday weekend for my birthday the location is spot on 2 min walk to earls court tube. restaurants and shops all around. all these negative reviews had me thinking ohhh noo what have i done. my only negative were the very small rooms but i suppose thats standard for london. when we arrived we got room 10 right next to reception which was a result. on the next morning i told the manager the shower was hanging of the wall and leaking he promised to have it fixed on our return we got bavk in a 5ish and was fixed so fair play. then i asked for an iron and he went down staird set up the iron and board and put it away for you. breakfast was ok croisants, toast, eggs, yogurt, tea coffee all in all id go back at the drop of a hat. bargain 240 for 3 nights. u wont get that price anywere else in london. but i would hope they have a bigger room next time whivh i would request on booking. thanks wayne meehan
A great value, well staffed hotel, in a really good location. First the down-sides: carpet a bit worn in communal areas, shower pan in need of de-clogging to enable faster drainage, some in-room decor in need of updating. But, for the price, one of the best budget options in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff, good comfort levels in the room, working air con and TV. WiFi free, and at a good speed. My room, on the top floor, would not have been easy to access for some: dozens of steep steps. But, on checking in reasonably early, I was offered one on a lower floor if I wanted. I just looked on it as a free step aerobics class. The bathroom may also be an issue for some, being a bit tight. But, unless you're pretty large, it is workable. And you seldom get en suite for this price in this part of London. (nb. the hot water took quite a while to run through: not unusual in a property of this size and vintage). Cold breakfast buffet, with tea & coffee and toast, can be a bit of a free for all. But, hey: share a table, and make some friends! Location-wise: excellent. 5mins to Earls Court tube, with direct links to Heathrow, Chelsea FC, central London and all the sights. I've had experience of quite a few of the cheaper hotels in this part of town, and have a number of horror stories. For the price (I paid £37 for B&B), this is the best I've seen in a long while.
Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and all staff were very polite and courteous....top marks for customer service! The continental breakfast was ok...a selection of fresh food and juices. Unfortunately the rooms were rather tacky and cleanliness could have been better. there were holes in the duvet cover...holes in the back of the door...the shower was hanging out of the wall...and it seemed the dusting had not been done for quite some time. The air conditioning also stopped working the morning we were leaving. The view was non existent...facing a wall and rubbish bins.
