Small rooms, and awfull bathrooms. The toilets are in such a bat shape that a slightly overweight person will not be able to use it. And they could use a bit of construction work. The shower was eigher too cold, or way to hot. The manager was friendly and they did a good job to make us feel welcome. Maby this hotel is still in an early state, and will improve. I hope so. Not planning on ever going back.
bad cracks down walls . damp in corner off ceiling coming down walls.blood stains on the bed .Shower looked like it had never had a clean .things hanging off the walls . and the window was flush to bed but a massive drop. roll over in the night your not waking up meaning no window open . lovely area loads of nice places to eat and drink good really as food there is terrible. could never stay there again and it's made me more aware of looking at every detail before we book somewhere again.
The front Desk is very friendly and helpful. Room is small but great comparing with Daily rate price. bathroom is Small but has very clean shower Tab and Head ..."I enjoyed" The best about this Hotel is the location near by Rest, Stores, Transportation, Train Station and (Tube) , Close to London City Center Less than 10 Mints you're at HARDDS Store. Secure ...has daily breakfast Services in the basement...... Rook rate is great comparing with others Hotel Room Services in the same Area.
Booked in to this place and all I could say is hell I have never been to such a horrible place in all my life mouldy walls dirty toilet and shower no heating stains on the bed really is the worst place anybody could stay I left in seconds I spoke to reception and they said I could not have money back even when I told them of all the problems he seemed to find it some what funny please everyone keep away from this place
Just returned from a short break in London. We had booked and paid for this hotel prior to our arrival. The reviews had not been great. On arrival we noticed the sheets and towels from previous guests were on the floor of the hall. Our ground floor rooms were tiny. The walls were dirty and there was a stain of some liquid running down the wall behind the bed. The window of the room was filthy. The bathroom can only be described as tiny. It was the size of a wardrobe ( which the room didnt have). The toilet sink and shower all crammed into a tiny space. Our friends room was no better. We went back to reception and told the guy we couldnt stay. He couldnt believe we were leaving. He did offer us another room upstairs but we declined. We left immediately and found another hotel.
Very poor standard, tiny room, my tv didn't work, when I told reception they said it would be sorted. After 4 nights no attempt had been made to replace or fix the tv. Stay well clear of this hotel, very poor value for the price charged.
Basic hotel but clean and more than adequate. The staff are very friendly and very polite. The breakfast is more than adequate too. It's a basic place to stay not a luxury hotel and for the price it's really good value.
It was a week ago since we left London and I am still wondering how did we stay in this hostel (yes, I cannot characterize this terrible place as a hotel) for 4 days. Actually, I have no words to describe this dump but I will try... Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before booking. So when we arrived at the hostel, I almost fainted of how dirty it was. The room that they gave us was at 2nd floor: a hutch 2m x 2m with no window. Walls were dirty and moldy and so thin that we could hear everything from the other rooms. We complained and we changed room. Our new room was at the last floor and there were NO LIFT!! It was also mold and dirty but at least it had a window. The bathroom was so small and also dirty that we couldn't enjoy a shower after our longwalks in London. And note: no amenities! The breakfast was basic, ok this is not a problem. The problem was the two RUDE ladies who washed the dishes by hand and you could see the stains on the plates, glasses and mugs... really disgusting! These two ladies were also "cleaning" the rooms. You should see the buckets at the corridors: the water they used to mop the floors was black!!! The sheets were also dirty and full of hair... Last but not least, we had a problem with our credit card upon our arrival at the hostel and they charged us (by our mistake) for 2 more nights. We realized that when we returned home and till now I am trying to reach them on phone and email but NO RESPONSE! Please try to call at the given phone 00442073732044 or write them an email. You will never take an answer. I have been staying to a lot of hotels and this is the first time that I feel like that. Ok, someone can admit that "you get what you pay for" but when you pay 80-90pouns per night your expectations include at least a CLEAN room with the cheapest amenities!
First of all I was at the hotel's reception at 11.00 am and my room wasn't available yet. What is more when I checked in and stayed in my room, it wasnt clean at all. The wall was dirty and it had blood stains as well as the blanket. Last but not least, I saw a mouse in the breakfast room and in the yard too. The latter is absolutely unacceptable. For all those reasons i left the room on day earlier. I may claim for a full refund. My advice is never stay there.
I booked this as it was near to Hyde Park through booking.com where the reviews weren't too bad. After booking (which was non refundable) I read the reviews on here and was very worried about what I would find. I went with a completely open mind and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, some parts of the hotel are old and worn, the rooms small and no carpet (in our room at least), but it was en-suite which for me is a must (with toilet and shower). There were no kettles etc in the room, but it was freely available in the basement room throughout the day for you to help yourself. The continental breakfast each morning was lovely with plenty to eat (cereals, yogurts, ham, cheese, bread, croissants and plenty of filter coffee. The tables were perhaps not the best type of thing to have in a hotel but they were functional. You do have to be willing to sit and eat with others. The bed was really comfortable with fairly new mattresses, and towels were provided. We were only there for 2 nights but our room was cleaned which again I didn't expect. Talking to someone who stays regularly at the hotel, it does depend on which room you get allocated as to the standard you will find. (Its an old house that has been converted). There is no lift and the stairs are quite steep, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you to stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. The biggest fault that I found was the doors were hung on heavy closures which people tended to go through and let them close themselves which caused a lot of noise constantly as people returned to there room. This was particularly a problem through the night during our stay with people coming back at 2 and 3 am. Overall for the price we paid (approximately £120 for the 2 nights) for an en-suite room with air conditioning and breakfast in central London, is a good price and as long as you don't have too high an expectation, it will serve you well.
