+ Hotel is very well located in Bayswater. + under 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station + Several convenient stores around the hotel + Rooms are spacious and clean + Free Oyster card was great + Great value for money Cant fault the hotel
When I booked I wasn't expecting to be put in a very small room in the basement, the room was smaller than my kitchen and that included the shower room which was the same size as my cloakroom. The bedroom had two beds each against the wall with a gap of 12 ins between them. The wardrobe was about 15ins wide and 4ft. High. The plus was it had a kettle tea and coffee . And the bathroom provided shampoo and shower gel. I must say the beds were comfortable.
It was the worst experience I even had in a hotel. The first day they gave us a room at the basement (which was not mentioned in the hotel cite). We demanded to change room and the second day they gave us a renovated room on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was awful with 3 hot dishes, cheese and cherry tomatoes. The cleaning was terrible too. The towels had an awful smell like they had been stored for a long time. In addition, we were robbed by 50 euros from the suitcase in our room and at the same day my credit card account was charged with the amount of 420 euros while it was in the same suitcase in my room. Protect yourselves and never visit that hotel!
Room was about 10C hotter than outside temperature and the fan provided was rubbish. That's pretty much enough to make anything else irrelevant although the decor and beds were fine. Bathroom tiny but all clean enough. Breakfast not worth bothering about. Very expensive for what it was, but then it was a busy weekend in the city... wifi didn't work either.
Overall was a pleasent stay. Excellent, supported, kind reciptionest. Kind resturant staff. Left going to the rooms in levels1, 2&3 only and level 4 you halve to use stairs,, left is very small where it occupy only 2people of wieght 150kg total, bags as well may be requied to be taken one by one. Room is very small.and rest room.
Very scarce breakfast which doesn`t change even a bit any day. But main surprise was a room in a basement level (this wasn`t mentioned while booking on a hotel site) with old interiors, extreme small windows and square about 15 m2.
One of the worst hotels I have been at. My mum and I arrived late and we specifically chose this hotel so we could check in late. We sent an e-mail a couple of days before arrival saying we would come late but still in time but didn't get any reply. When we arrived there was nobody in the reception. We stood there for 10-15 min calling for help, using the ring clock and calling the hotels telephone number but noting helped. In the end I jumped over the reception desk and went further in and opened one door. Inside I found the receptionist sleeping on the floor so I woke him up. I told him that we wanted to check in and that we had been waiting for a long time, he went out to the reception but didn't apologize and behaved really strange. After a couple of minutes he told us that he had given us our key but he had not, so he kept looking for it until he found it. The room was very small and in bad condition. We stayed at the first floor with a window facing the basement, where the staff threw garbage on the ground. The windows could not be opened, there were only three gallows and the room was super tiny. Breakfast was good with nice staff but the staff working in the reception was apathetic and didn't greet until guests said hi. I will not stay here when I come back to London and will not recomend it to anyone else.
The location was good, rooms were very small but clean. We stayed before and after a trip overseas and they stored our luggage. Very disappointing though as I left jewellery (2 bangles) in the bathroom and as soon as I realised called the hotel. I regret not going back to the hotel when I realised...After waiting 1 day for a call back, I was told they weren't there. I am 100% certain they were left in the bathroom (and have triple checked my bag to be sure) but unfortunately was told they weren't found - very disappointing!!!
Excellent location. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast very good indeed. Room very clean. Bathroom tiny but had everything I needed. Hotel itself is a bit well worn but not a real issue for me although the very old, single glazed badly fitting windows will let in serious draughts in the winter! Had a little trouble connecting to wifi with the instructions given to me but once I did so, it was fine. I would definitely stay here again though.
Our family of four were squeezed into the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in. It was at the top of the hotel, fourth floor - elevator not trust worthy. We could barely walk around the beds. Not the cleanest place. The breakfast area is too small to accomodate all guests. We had to wait both morning for a table to open. On the third day we just skipped it and went to a restaurant as the breaky was poor anyways. I would not recommend this property.
