I stayed here on business as sole traveller- just felt safe as soon as I walked in the door - it is situated in a beautiful place and near to bars and cafes if you need them - rooms are comfortable and all controlled with the latest technology - the bed is super - the hotel is beautifully clean and smells lovely as you walk through the corridors - on my way back there in December
We stayed here for 2 nights prior to a transatlantic cruise leaving from the South Hampton cruise terminal. We chose this hotel because it was a 2 block walk to the Victoria Coach Station, where we had transportation provided by Princess Cruises to the terminal. It is only about a mile walking distance to Buckingham Palace, about the same to Hyde Park, and probably 1.5 miles to the Natural History museum and Victoria and Albert museum, so we were able to sight see on foot for the two days. The room was very nice but small, although talking to other cruise passengers who stayed overnight in London, small apparently is the norm. The bed was comfortable. There was lots of tech - the bedside alarm clock was an Apple iPad, and an android cell phone was included for your use during your stay (no charge for usage). The bathroom walls were all glass, which turned frosted at the push of a button. Very cool. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
It was just what we needed! A cosy, clean and well located hotel with very friendly staff with good tips for visits and restaurants. We had a great family city trip to London. We will definitely be back!
Small size of our room was totally overcompensated by the many high-tech conveniences and the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff. Having a personalized ipad and smartphone available for use outside the hotel greatly facilitated our weekend plans and touring objectives.
Very well appointed hotel with friendly staff. Excellent location very close to Victoria station. Good value for two adults in such a central location. Room was small but bed was very comfortable and the fittings were exceptional. Shower room slightly smaller than ideal but clean and modern.
After much deliberation on booking a hotel for a 2-night stay with factors as such as location, price and service we chose the Eccleston Square and we were not disappointed. From arrival to departure, staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was 1st Class. Special mention must go to Andreas and Simone at reception, Stefan from Housekeeping and the young Italian lady at Breakfast - thank you for making our stay special. They are a credit to the Hotel. The Hotel itself we found to be as described and just loved the iPad/Tech element to the room; plus the use of the tech phone outside of the hotel. The beds are so comfortable and we slept really well. And as others have commented the rooms may not be huge in size but really not a problem as would expect you'd be out more than in them as we were. Location is perfect also - a 2-minute walk to Victoria Train and Underground. Our next visit to London we will definitely book here again. 10/10 on everything. Highly recommend.
I stayed here with my wife for a weekend; booking directly with the hotel is recommended as it is more expensive on hotel aggregator websites. There were many nice extras, including a free minibar. Also, the hotel has lots of fine touches, including complimentary tea even in the wee small hours of the morning, brought to your room. The showers are remarkable: three different nozzles that can be used all at once. Also, the wifi is better than the norm. Breakfast too, was excellent: the cinnamon french toast is highly recommended. Having said all this, is there room for improvement? Well yes: the rooms were quite small, so if you expect to use it to work at all, you may be disappointed. It's unlikely much can be done about this: I'm informed by the (very friendly) staff that there are rooms that do offer desks, if you need this for business at all, you may want to request such a room. Second, because of how tightly packed the rooms were, there were some spaces that could have used with a bit more dusting. My wife is very sensitive to the presence of dust and had some breathing difficulties because of this. Having said all this, the hotel was definitely an improvement on the usual standard hotel chain room you get in London; I'd would certainly consider a return visit.
We stayed in this hotel during our week end trip in London end of September. We really loved the hotel : very nice design rooms (small but clean and all the comfort you need). It has a very good location near Victoria station, opposite side of a nice park, quiet neighborhood , super bed (we slept very well !) Nice breakfast (sufficient choice - you could order extra's if wanted) Our special thanks to the friendly staff : Simone, Numo, Stefan, Manuel, Manuela , Maria they gave us a warm welcome and assisted us where necessary !
Room is small but looks nice, but not totally clean (i-pad was touched by many many more guests... and you need the i-pad for everything). The hi-tech elements are nice but not really necessary for me. The beds are supper too. Had a good sleep.
We needed somewhere close to Victoria Coach Station for the night before setting off on a cruise of the fjords, and decided to look for somewhere a bit special as well as conveniently located for transporting luggage. Eccleston Square certainly met our requirements, with a clean and comfy room, and friendly staff to make the stay even more enjoyable. The room was quite small, but this is well advertised, and we opted for a balcony to give us somewhere outside as well. As vegans we were a bit limited for breakfast but beans on toast are a good standby and were fine for us. The use of the key to explore the lovely square opposite is a bonus and not to be missed if the weather is fine. Can't really comment on the high tech features as we didn't really use them.
