Everything about this hotel has always been excellent - this is our 4th year staying there - but this time the floor in the restaurant for the breakfast buffet was so sticky i had to wash the soles of my shoes after we left. And we were the first there for breakfast.
We booked our weekend get away for the kids for their Christmas surprise. The check in was quick and easy with very polite staff. The room itself was very nice. Very comfy beds with nice coverings. Very clean room. Continental Breakfast was very tasty. Just make sure you get to breakfast before 10 ...
Clean room, courteous staff, tidy facilities, very pleasant stay. Tiny pool, early checkout, housekeeping carts are always in the halls and blocking the single elevator. For the price it was a very nice place for a short stay close to everything in the Villages community.
In general good. Good room but spartan, not up to current standards. Understand it is an old "classic"; However, one has to get ice from Bartender, and no facilities such as a fridge to keep food/munchies overnight, the least one can expect today, especially for over $200 a might. But these things ...

We stayed at this hotel a number of years ago and remembered it as a nice place close to the Mount Dora downtown. It turned out to be the right choice for a short get away. The staff where helpful and very pleasant.
Non-heating “hot” tub was major downer. Nice people, but too much clutter (thus dust), and breakfast takes way too long.
I had forgotten some very important personal items at the hotel. The associate on staff was helpful to take the time and find my items even though they were not left in the general lost and found
May not be the most up to date place, but I liked it because it has nice wood work and furnishings in the room. Room was clean mattress was good bath is very up to date. Also the price is very reasonable.
