Stay here several times when visiting the area of Howey in the Hills. The rooms are spacious and clean and most rooms have great views of the lake. It's location is convenient in the middle of Tavares and short drive to Mount Dora .

Overall our stay was ok. There were a few things that were an inconvenient while traveling with our dog (10 lb shih-tzu). For one we weren't able to take her behind the main building in the large grassy area to sit and enjoy being outside. Although the hotel and surrounding areas were pet friendly, there were also alot of restrictions...inconvenient. The hotel has many restrictions as well, like giving 24 hour notice to have someone clean the room, or having to go pick up extra towels from the main building. Don't get me started on their towels...let's just say if you need a good exfoliation, their towels will do the job! The music was loud, however we enjoyed it, and they go inside at 10pm. Breakfast wasn't really advertised well, basically it's more of a "vending" continental breakfast. Our room could have been a little cleaner, especially the tile floors, but we've been in worse.

Nice property with friendly and helpful staff. Pool area is nice with views of the lake. We were excited that breakfast was included but found it a bit lacking with mostly microwaveable items in a small fridge.

The location was perfect, the view was amazing. Loved being able to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable a little dated. One of the mattresses sank quite a bit on the one side. The breakfast was prepackaged items only, nothing healthy about that. Would stay again, however, enjoyed the weekend.

We have stayed there many times over several years with no pet fee. This time they charged a $100 pet fee for dog weighing less than 20 pounds. Check in was cumbersome and staff bordering on rude.

Weather was beautiful and room view was amazing. The mornings and afternoons were perfect and pool area was great. Big pool and had it all to ourselves. My main complaint is that the night life and VERY LOUD music from the bar below us (we were right above a bar) didnt even think about how loud it might be at night. Couldn't hardly sleep the second night (Friday) and performer didnt stop playing until late night. Then the next night (Saturday) the bar, Dog House, which part of the hotel played music SO LOUD OUTSIDE and didnt stop till 2AM. Loved the room and it was clean and the view was incredible worst part was the extremely loud party scene at night.

We’ve been staying here for the last 4 years and always book early hoping to get a lakeside room with a balcony - it didn’t happen again. This time got a view of the government buildings. If you don’t boom directly through them then that’s probably the issue but prices are cheaper elsewhere. Glad it wasn’t building 1 because you never get parking due to the restaurants there. We question ourselves about staying each time we book. Maybe we’ll get lucky next year - or maybe we’ll look elsewhere - have t decided yet.

There was a bar at the location. The music was extremely loud very late at night. It made it rough to get to sleep. We had early times to get up so that's the only thing I wasn't pleased with. And the little bugs everywhere.

I thought it was nice to have restaurants, bars & a coffee shop on the ground floor of the building. We had a beautiful view of Lake Dora from our balcony and enjoyed live music from The Dog House that evening. I did have concern as to when the band would stop. They stopped at 10:00-10:30pm which I thought was very acceptable; especially on a Saturday night. Danni at the front desk was just wonderful! She was very polite, friendly and informative about the area.
