As a Marriott hotel, I had expected more. The overall layout was extremely confusing with the separate wings. Upon arrival, we were told fuzzy directions to the hotel car park from the door man, we ended up having to do a whole circle around the block to find it. Checking in was a hassle, despite being a Marriott club member, they took an extremely long time to check us in and procedure was extremely messy. It was a little frustrating as our room was on the other wing which is a long confusing walk away. We were ushered by one of their staff but he seemed a little disorientated himself. I'm not too fond of the large hotel format as ever money just to get to our Executive Lounge, we would have to take the same confusing path to the other wing to get it to. Thankfully the room is mostly up to par, with it's large spacious room and pleasant view of the KL tower. All the right toiletries provided, with a clean toilet space. I was able to wind down in a bath. Room service on the other hand is something to improve on, as my Pohpiah was drenched in oil and my cake was definitely not worth the high price tag. The hotel is not of Marriott standards however, it's not a terrible hotel. The location is rather nice, a 5min walk away from KLCC but for the heavy price tag and mediocre service even as a Marriott member, I would advice you to stay elsewhere.

Myself and my girlfriend have spent almost 20 days at this hotel in the past two months and everything from the room to the staff has surpassed our expectations. We together have spent well over 125 nights in the past year at Marriott properties and I will say this hotel and staff truly live up to the Marriott standard. I personally would like to thank the day lounge supervisor as she has always been so helpful and friendly and she has become one of my favorite people to see when I arrive as she always welcoming us with a smile.

This hotel has an amazing ambience, it gives you feel of a first grade 5 star Hôtel. Although some of the rooms are going through renovation, the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. This is an ideal hotel for family vocations. It is next to the Pakistan High Commission and very close to the Suria KLCC shopping mall. The place offers free high speed internet as well. There are 4-5 restaurants and an amazing open swimming pool. Highly recommended..

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. Where do I start???? I had been planning for over a year my anniversary suprise for my wife and 1yr old daughter. We planned to stay in KL for 5 days and move on to Penang for a further 7 days. Checking in was just the beggining of my nightmare. Upon arrival my check in was smooth. I was told tbey would be holding a deposit and upon check out i would be credited this back into my accoubt which i thought is reasonable. However the very next day i checked my account only to see the the whole amount plus the deposit was debited from my account!!! I asked the staff at check in and tbeg confirmed there was nothing at all and all will be credited into my account in due course. My 5 days were coming to an end and still i saw no credit in my account. I had to leave as i was moving on to Penang with my family for the rest of our trip. Upon check out they charged my debit card again without me even knowing this meant that there was a fulll amount a deposit and then again the full amount was charged. The money for all my spending money on holiday was wiped out clean from ny account and when i brought this to their attention it was too late to even put back immediately as it was a global bank issuing refunds etc would takeatleast 14 working days to re instate and credit me. I was feeding my family on peanuts and fast food all my excursions were cancelled all my money spent on excursions and rrestaurabt bookings had to be cancelled. I was budgeting and i felt so embarassed. I spent all my time in the hotel grounds i was lucky ebought to had paid for my stay before arrival in Penang. I was left with nothing just the clothes i had in my suitcase. I was feeding my daughter on fast food for the whole week u felt so embarased but yet Rennaisace did not help me one bit. They told me they could not do anything about it. The best they could do was offer me a mere 2 day refund of my stay. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL PLEASE CONSIDER ANOTHER HOTEL CHAIN DO NOT STAY HERE IN KL. AVOID THIS HOTEL DO NOT BRING YOUR BRING YOUR FAMILY OR LOVED ONES TO THIS HOTEL PLEASE

After having a quick flick through some of the reviews before writing mine i must admit i was quite surprised. We had no issues at all. We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted within seconds at reception and our luggage was whisked away! It was my birthday during our stay and the hotel upgraded us to a suite on the 26th floor in the west wing which overlooked the towers. The view was amazing. The room was excellent with a huge bathroom seperate seating area bedroom area and walk in wardrobe. I cannot fault the room. It was spotless and the maids were very attentive. Replacing the toiletries and pens/paper on a daily basis. During our stay one of my bags were delayed and the hotel conceirge took over calling almost hourly for updates and arranged delievery of my bag to the hotel which they would accept on my behalf so we could continue our tours and plans. We also needed to print off some additional documentation for one of our trips, we went to reception and were taken to the libary office room and given access to a pc and printer. No charge was required. The communal areas of the hotel were also extremely clean and well maintained, fresh flowers put out daily. The bar areas were spacious and had live singers etc, but they were quite quiet with not much atmosphere, however for a quick drink before going out, or a quiet drink as a couple the setting was perfect. The hotel done everything they could for us and if i was to return to KL i'd choose to stay in this hotel again. Overall 10 out of 10 and i'd be happy to stay here again.

Having stayed at the renaissance for 3 nights whilst in KL for a birthday break, I found the Renaissance to be an ideal location for a weekend break . Located on the corner of Jalan Ampang and Jalan Sultan Ismail, the Renaissance is around a 2 minute walk from Bukit Nanas monorail and a 10 minute walk to the Petronas Tower, Suria KLCC and Avenue K making it a perfect base to explore KL. The hotel is large with two wings , the older east wing and the newly renovated west wing. At the moment all of the hotel processes such as check in/ out, breakfast etc are in the east wing. This can be confusing if you are dropped off at the west wing as there are noticeably less staff around. Check in was smooth and we were directed to our room on the 20th room of the west wing. The rooms are decorated in a modern tasteful style and are large. We were lucky enough to have a view of KL tower from our room. Although spacious and clean we did find that not everything was stocked in the room, for example only one toothbrush set, one face towel etc. Whilst not a big issue, I would expect there to be two sets of everything in a double room. After ringing housekeeping stocks were replenished. Similarly, a promised birthday cake was not in the room when we arrived and we had to ring on two occasions to confirm that we had indeed received an email from the hotel prior to our arrival promising a cake. Said cake was lovely and well presented once it arrived, and was nice gesture. Breakfast each morning was busy. Always a queue to be seated but it went down quickly. There was plenty of choice however the staff did struggle to refill the food in peak periods meaning there were long lines for few items. I also found that the glasses weren't dried properly before bringing back out, leaving a nasty smell. The swimming pool is lovely. Large with a pool bar. It's very rarely full so no struggle for a sunbed. A nice place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. All in all a pleasant hotel in a prime location which will benefit from the full renovation .

We arrived late at night. Unfortunately the person at reception could not speak English.. and gave us a twin bed room.... Next morning they changed our room to a king bed thanks to Mr. Ansari. As other reviewers mentioned... the hotel suffers badly with housekeeping. (Bathroom floor, tiles and grouting are not clean, ...) Nice and large swimming pool... enough said

Stayed here for 4d3n with my Boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We were upgraded to deluxe suite in the west wing which is facing the Bay. The room was very spacious but the bed was awkwardly far from the TV. I'll give the room 5/5 for cleanliness. I have no problems with the room at all. On the first night, we received a chocolate cake for my boyfriend's birthday which was very very scrumptious, (attached)! Thank you Renaissance Team for the cake! Other than that, The Swimming pool was very old and looks like it needs to be refurbished. The lift in the west wing was scary at first due to the bad lighting and old buttons. I believed they are going to refurbished that as well. There was one occasion where we ordered a bucket of ice as we bought home some drinks and it took almost an hour + 3 CALLS to receive the ice. They explained that the room service was very busy however I believed that it is due to the miscommunication. Breakfast spread was extremely limited. By the 3rd day, we were completely out of choices to What to eat. There was an egg station conducted by 2 people (Salleh and another man, I couldn't get his name). They cooked the worst eggs. I don't know how anyone can cook bad eggs, but I always received my eggs RAW. Salleh had a habit of putting MORE cheese at the end when he is about to finish cooking to make the omelette looks a little bigger/delicious? Not only that, there was a major difference on how he talked to me and my Boyfriend and the western guests. He was very rude and picked the condiments with his bare hands but towards the western guests, he seems to be well-mannered and used the spoons to pick up the condiments instead. I believed the reason for our mistreatment is due to looking like locals even tho we are not. His poor service has make it an unpleasant breakfast for both of us. Also, I realised when it was us, the waitress in charge would not bring us to a table however when it is the western guests, they would gladly bring them a table. This mistreatment could be seen not only to us, but are guests who look local or are local. Overall, I would come back to this hotel again however I would not opt for the breakfast due to the limited variety and poor service. Albeit, thank you to the team who made my stay memorable!

We recently spent 5 weeks at your hotel - returning long stay guests. Were allocated a beautiful corner suite in the West Wing. Could not fault anything apart from having no facility to hang washing as the hotel has done away with the washing line over the bath. The buffet breakfast is one of the best we have ever encountered in a hotel. A big thank you to Pablo, Soho and charming girl (sorry forgot her name) who gave us personal attention each morning with our food requests and brought directly to our table. Also would compliment all the girls at the desk who seated us - what a credit to your hotel to engage such pleasant staff. They went above and beyond and we love them all. One of the reasons we return each time is because of your fabulous swimming pool. We must highlight the special attention given to us by Samsung (not sure of spelling) and all of his staff. Chairs were reserved with towels, as well as my husband's 'office' (Samsung's definition). Glasses of water brought over the minute we were seated, followed later by watermelon. What more could we ask for. After all the positives, regrettably we had one complaint. Experienced eating in Temptations Restaurant in the evening. (A la-carte menu). First time Lasagna was excellent. Next time we ate there, quantity, quality and availability was lacking. Did not return again. Certainly needs improvement. A big thank you to IVO - with his friendly smile and charming personality. He made our holiday worthwhile. Highly recommend hotel. Thank you to everyone.

Very convenient to travel around the city & shopping ~~. Located in the center of the city & close to good shopping mall that can be more relaxing while on this trip~~^^ Should be come again with others, especially my family as would be fit to every age satisfying each interests~~^^
