I was greeted by friendly personnel as soon as I entered the hotel. Checking in was seamless, and I love how each member of staff has their passion written on their name tags. The friendly personnel whom I forgot his name, has a passion for music. He was friendly and has smile on his face always. The room was clean, and huge. And I was lucky to have a room facing the main road, with some view of the KLCC and I get to see the KL tower at night! The bed was so comfortable that I didn't feel like waking up the next morning! The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, too! The location is a big bonus, located in the bustling area of Bukit Bintang, right across Pavillion Shopping Mall, where you could get anything from high street to luxury, and a wide variety choice of food! Other malls such as Lot 10, is also within walking distance. If you wish to avoid using cars, the MRT and monorail is also within walking distance, which you can connect easily to KLIA Express, to go to the airport. Overall, it was a lovely stay at the hotel and deserve a 5 star from me!
Always enjoy staying at the Westin hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Spotless clean, comfortable, excellent breakfast buffet, have to say the breakfast is one of the best buffet thst I've experienced in a hotel, so many choices and excellent quality. I have to give top marks for the Executive Club lounge cocktail hour, the quality of the food is excellent restaurant quality food, and the drinks are flowing !!!. The staff at this hotel are always professional, helpful and very attentive . The rooms are spotless clean , well maintained and the bed so comfortable and the linens excellent quality. The hotel is ideally situated for shopping , dining , sightseeing . Close by the hotel is a new underground metro station so that makes it easy to get around the city. Thank you Westin Kuala Lumpur for making a home away from home .
Ideally located in the heart of KL. Great views from the upper floors. The staff are well trained and courteous. The breakfast spread is huge and delicious. The GM Ko is a great guy with a passion for his work. Will definitely stay here the next time I’m in KL.
was in KL for a meeting and stay a night in westin, arrive at hotel in the morning, we are request for shower room, the shower room was clean, so far the service was good, staff are friendly, room are clean, i am also like the hotel location its in front of shopping mall
The rooms aren’t ultra modern but refurbished.... however what’s commendable was the service... The staff were friendly and helpful. They even accommodated a late checkout request at the last minute even though they were busy. I wouldn’t mind coming back
Sadly I cannot report anything good about my stay. I don’t smoke, but was placed in a smelly smoking room because they were full. Surely ALL hotels are non-smoking these days? The hotel is old, the water pipes are noisy and the lift takes forever at peak times. Breakfast looks impressive, but most of the hot food is tepid or cold and the staff are just not enthusiastic! This hotel is one I will never stay again!
Was in KL for a meeting and took the previous day flight. Landed in the evening and checking into the hotel around 8 PM. The location was very good - easier to take the KLIA Express from the airport to KL Sentral and hop onto a taxi from there to the hotel (maybe 10-15 mins with traffic). Got a road-facing room, king bed, decent options on the mini bar, clean toilets and in-room iron table and iron box. All was good untill I went over to the mini bar counter to pick up a bottle of water. Noticed a pack of condoms, next to the chips. Initially I thought that must've been left back by someone staying before I did. However, when I checked the mini bar menu, it had a price tag for the condom pack! For a hotel that has a pack of condoms, I would never recommend this for a family stay!
The Thai wife and I stayed here for a night recently. I'd booked a pretty standard room but on check-in was advised I'd been upgraded to an apartment...thank you SPG Platinum benefits. Once in the apartment we explored a little and found that it comprised a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/living room, a small study and an enclosed balcony. Really really impressive. Everything the apartment worked and was clean. The wifi was strong and stable. We decided to check out the Club Lounge for afternoon tea. Once again we were really surprised and delighted by the size, layout and features of the club. The afternoon tea spread was a little underwhelming compared to other hotels in KL however that was forgotten when we returned for happy hour and found an extensive range of food available, enough to provide a satisfying dinner. We decided to take breakfast in the downstairs restaurant rather than the club and were again impressed by the range and quality of the food on offer. On the afternoon we arrived we also decided to explore the local area around the hotel and were impressed to find it almost overrun with hotels, shopping centers and restaurants. It is quite a lively area and seems well served by public transport. On check-out we were assisted with getting a taxi and with our luggage. A feature of this hotel is the positive and helpful attitude of all of the staff we encountered.
I would stay in the Westin repeatedly because I was greeted with meticulous every time and I also introduced this good service to my colleagues . They also gave me a good comment . Because start 2018 every month will be there is meeting in KL ,so I thought I would stay at Westin, I hope Westin will not disappoint us. At here I want special appreciation to club lounge staff Mr Oddie(senior supervisor) , since I start choose stay in Westin he will give so warmest service when every time I in Westin , and a few from me before I saw them in the intern until now the official staff, they are really led to progress rapidly! Wish yr team make persistent efforts.
As an SPG gold member, they really looked after you well. Free little gift, late check out, automatic upgrade to the next category of room, free wifi. All that made the stay much more enjoyable. You can't beat the perfect location, practically opposite the huge and fantastic Pavilion mall. The hotel is in the heart of Bukit Bintang, which is the centre of KL. Easy access to train (LRT), and to the twin towers is only a 15 min walk in covered walkways. Staffs and concierge are well trained and very welcoming. Rooms are of good size, clean and with great facilities. Although there are 2 minor areas which need improvements. I find the overall lightning a bit too dark for my liking. The water drainage in the shower isn't great, due to its flat flooring (no slight tilt to let water drain away), a puddle of water is always left behind and never dry up. Other than that, everything was really great.
