We were serviced very well when staying at Westin KL. Especially with the assistance of Mr. Ruben Jagadish. He assisted us with every minor details within his ability. Without him i think our stay will not be as pleasant.

When I arrived at the hotel I was escorted to the third floor and offered a cool glass of wine during my check in. If you stay on floors 31 to 35 you get access to the club floor. Staff in the hotel are friendly and efficient and are generally please to meet any request. For example, I had a small cut on my finger and a request to change a sheet late in the evening was completed in a few minutes without any fuss. The club room runs the whole front of the hotel on the third floor. It is a great place to relax and have a coffee if you have been out in the midday sun. However, during the day there is little more on offer. One can have breakfast here but the one served on the ground floor is much more varied. This is the one I would recommend. Wine, spirits and finger food are served between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. And while this is good I would have expected a much better offering throughout the day. This hotel is very central and close to very good shopping and restaurants. It also has its own car park - a life saver in KL. All in all it is very easy to recommend this hotel. Rooms are a good size with very good bathrooms. You will not be disappointed.

I'm still staying in the hotel but can't help to rate this hotel asap. Here for 4 nights here are the problems (so far) to share with you.. 1) no show on the airport transfer, make a few calls to the hotel and they managed the last minutes arrangement. Waited for 45 minutes at the terminal and finally met the driver who complained the hotel mis-communicated my location with him ( do I care??) 2) emailed to the general manager about the incident and has absolutely no reply and acknowledgement 3) room hasn't been make up till 4pm until I called 4) executive lounge is full of dirty dishes on tables while staff are chatting and playing with phones. Usually need to go to the counter in order to get attention (very disappointing). Kids are running around, not sure about the policy is but at least need to be managed to respect this is an "executive lounge" not a play corner. Staff seems don't care and not even notice. There are many choices in KL especially for the fee level like Westin.

I stayed at the Westin for 2 weeks on business, in a standard room. The room was a decent size with a view over the Pavillion Shopping Centre and the city. The hotel staff were friendly and always polite, except for those working at breakfast as they always seemed unhappy - which was probably due to the Manager shouting orders at them in front of guests which was unprofessional. The rooms were clean with all the usual facilities although the room staff were inconsistent with topping up bathroom supplies and tea/coffee supplies. The breakfast was excellent with a Western and Asian selection, which included various options. The daal was THE best i've ever had! The location is excellent, especially if you are in KL to shop and eat. The Pavillion is directly opposite with other malls within walking distance. Lot 10 is only a 5 minute walk away and the monorail isn't far away either. Jalan Alor food markets is 10 minutes away and an excellent place to grab a cheap and tasty dinner. I'd definitely stay at the Westin again if i travel into KL.

Hotel conveniently located opposite the most popular shopping center The Pavilion. Hotel extremely hard working staff was cleaning the room next door at almost 11pm. I do appreciate the lavender oil to help me sleep better. Friendly staff who was not aware the Chinese restaurant Five Senses was closed for an Abbott private function. If you are a bread lover, the breakfast is a must.

Arrived on a Friday afternoon for a long weekend in KL. I had selected this hotel because of its location and familiarity with the brand. The first impression was terrible; long queue to check in at 2pm. Only 2 counters operating out of a total of 4 available (including the SPG counter). To make things worse, I had booked a type of room with a large bed but that wasn't available and I was offered one with two single beds. The front desk employee was looking clueless about what to do next. He had to wait for a supervisor who suggested upgrading to another room. (Note to management: empower your front desk staff to take decisions on their own). Finally got into the room at 4pm, tired and upset. I thought of giving just 2star review based on this terrible experience, but to be fair to the hotel, the rest of the stay was wonderful. The staff at the concierge desk (forgot to ask for his name) did a fantastic job arranging last minute excursion to the fire-flies and recommended how to save money on other excursions I had planned. Most of the staff were very attentive and service requests were met promptly. Rooms are good size and well appointed. Only thing missing: a single master switch next to the bed. Breakfast is really extensive.. choices for everyone. A request for late check out was also promptly met. Despite the initial bad experience, the rest of the stay was quite good.

I had a great experience in Westin, KL. From the warm greetings I received the moment I stepped into the lobby, the ease and efficient check in (they even offered a glass of water while queuing for my turn) to the room - wow! it was impressive! I was upgraded to the Executive one-bedroom residence. Prior to the trip, I have corresponded to a Westin Experience officer and he has arranged everything I have requested to above my expectations. Thank you! I strongly recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for, not only a central location in KL that is walking distance to lots of shopping malls and good eateries, but also expects good service from their staff.

We chose to stay at Westin KL due to its strategic location – there are a few shopping malls within its vicinity. The last time we stayed at the Westin was back in 2013. A few days before check in, I received an email from the manager of the Westin Experience Specialist team asking the arrival time, purpose of stay and other preferences and needs. As an elite SPG member, I have requested for an early check in at 2.00pm and the room was ready when I arrived. Check in was pretty fast and I was a bit disappointed with the front office staff – well as an elite SPG member, it is pretty standard for the staff to ask on the choice of welcome gift, and the option of a late check out, however this was not asked and offered to me. To make it worse, the staff even uses a wrong key card envelope – though it may sound petty, but I believe the staff should be more alert in their job. Room is clean though, looks bit aged. Throughout our stay, we have no issue with the water heater and the water pressure. We only notice that the air conditioning is not cool enough – probably affected due to the maintenance service by the utility company. The Westin Heavenly Bed truly lives up to its reputation – we have a good sleep and rest on it. Staffs are helpful and professional – but lack of friendliness. During our stay, we only have a minor hiccup – our room key cards are not functioning after 12.00pm – as I have requested for a late check out and probably the staffs did not set it on the room key cards. Overall, it is still a good experience for our weekend staycation at Westin KL.

Overall experience was poor from checking in to checking out! As an SPG member i was surprised by the reception staff speed and accuracy. Both the check in and check out failed to get back to me as promised, for a 5* hotel i had higher expectations. The room was moderate but there are better options in KL which I will consider on my next visit.

So this hotel was our final stop before we headed home. We chose it for the excellent shopping location but boy was it the whole package. The room was super comfortable and so stylish, the room service and daily breakfast was beyond amazing and the hotel staff were so courteous and professional. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Bukit Bintang. U won't be sorry.
