My stay at pullman during a business trip was excellent. Executive room and related services were on par with standards worldwide. Would recommend to everyone if you do not need to stay close to city centre.

I read all of the low star reviews for this hotel, and many others, prior to making a decision for an upcoming business trip to the University of Malaya and a four night stay. I looked at some in Bukit Bintang, Mid-Valley, and Petaling Jaya. This hotel stood out because it was new, having stayed in a lot of well worn places I was highly interested immediately. The hotel was as described, large welcoming entryway with staff to open doors as cars arrive in the outdoor atrium. Everything was spotless, staff were very attentive and courteous. It took a little fine tuning to get the Wifi passwords figured out the first hour, but no problems at all after that. Bathroom was lovely, shower was hot and had good pressure with the head high up on the wall instead of at eye level like some. Bathtub I didn't use, but had all the necessary features. Clean fluffy towels, comfy bed with four pillows, good iron, AC quiet, limited exterior noise, modern lighting and attractively designed room. Fridge could have been colder. Not sure if there was anyone in the room next to me, but I didn't hear a thing through the walls. My 7th floor view was out onto the highway and intersection below, I found it fascinating to watch with only occasional noise from sirens. The only employee I saw in the elevator was the very nice man that took my bag to the room and showed me in. I left some pastries at the check in desk, I-rene called my room and the same gentleman brought them up to me before I could collect them myself. Currency exchange was reasonable. I didn't eat at the hotel, but everything looked great all be it expensive as one would expect at the hotel. Location is not close to the main tourist areas, but perfect for me as near the University. There is a light rail stop (University) across the road maybe a few hundred yards that takes you straight to the Bukit, TImes Square, KL Sentral station, and KLCC/PETRONAS towers areas amongst others in about 15 minutes. I was advised not to venture out by myself as westerners can be targets for robbery, but I felt completely safe around the hotel and pretty much everywhere else. I saw lots of families going in and out, and a diverse group of guests. Cabs are available, some metered. The concierge can set a traveler up with reliable transportation, although I had a local connection who picked me up and dropped me off. Overall it was great, truly a five star experience. I have stayed in lots of places that looked great on paper but were a little rough so I was a little nervous trying the Pullman Bangsar, as well as going so far and having to be game face for work, but I was completely at ease the moment I arrived. Knowing that I was going to be comfortable made for an awesome trip, both the business and tourist part. Lower cost even compared to middle market US business traveler hotels with two/three stars this place is a steal! Thanks to the staff at the hotel for such a pleasant stay during my first visit to Malaysia, I will definitely stay again when I return.
